Looks like Rihanna got her 4/20 celebration on yesterday.  She hit up an intimate private performance by Lauryn Hill in L.A. late last night.  And she rocked her rasta hat atop her red hair, and carried a sparkling cannabis leaf clutch.  We have a feeling she enjoyed herself quite nicely.

After making history as the first solo artist to have 10 #1 singles on the Billboard charts in the shortest amount of time, Rihanna rolled to Lauryn Hill's event to celebrate last night.

She tapped into her caribbean roots and got her rasta queen on with a rasta hat and cannabis inspired clutch.

And after leaving her late night session, she was immediately whisked away with her dark shades on and looking a bit out of it.  Celebration indeed.

The gorgeous Nicole Ari Parker was spotted in L.A. shopping at The Grove after lunch.  And also participating in the 'She Runs LA' event.

She looked laid back and cute as usual.  Wonder what else she's up to these days....

 

 

 

And sports fanatic Lil Wayne hit the sidelines of the Lakers/Hornets playoff game last night in L.A.  He was likely rooting for his home team New Orleans, but the Lakers won by 11.

His "pops" Baby was there too....with the whole entourage:

Last night, the beautiful people of Hollywood were treated to a glamourous evening courtesy of Coach. See pics of Taraji P. Henson, Zoe Saldana, Garcelle Beauvais and Joy Bryant inside...

Last night Coach hosted "An Evening of Cocktails and Shopping To Benefit The Children's Defense Fund" at the Bad Robot in Santa Monica. 


 

Taraji P. Henson was among the fabulous females invited to the private reception.  Nude is a great color for her.

Garcelle Beauvais wore this girly "spring" look with white shorts and a green blouse.

And Joy Bryant worked her usual laid back country chic meets city girl look too.

Actress Jurnee Smollett wore this silky number which was decorated with butterflies.  Such a gorgeous girl.

 

And I loved Zoe Saladana's dress as well. Cute prints work well for spring.

EVENT FAB: Tami Roman, Mashonda, LaLa, Zoe Kravitz, Tika Sumpter, & More Hit Hollywood Events In NYC

The Hollywood and reality chicks were out in full force in NYC last night.  Tami Roman, Mashonda, LaLa, Zoe Kravitz, Tika Sumpter, and plenty others all hit red carpets at various events.  And we've got the pics.

LaLa Vazquez Anthony made her rounds last night in this one rosette shoulder white dress with a ruffle and sweetheart neckline from H&M.  Very Easterish, but cute.  She hit the grand opening of the new GUESS 5th Avenue flagship store, and the Broadway opening night of "Sister Act" at the Broadway Theatre. And she's glowing with her tan from her recent trip to Turks and Caicos.

Fab chick Mashonda rocked a cute little black dress and gold shoes.  Looking hot as always.

"Basketball Wife" star Tami Roman hit the red carpet in her little white dress.  Looks like she got dolled up with cute hair and makeup this time around.  Wrong purse to bring on the carpet though.

Our fave chick-o-the-moment, "The Game" and "Gossip Girl" actress Tika Sumpter, hit the carpet in ripped black jeans, purple pumps, and a cute hat.

Pretty woman Selita Ebanks rolled to the OK! event.  She showed off her crackle style nails with her demure skirt and cropped sweater look.  Speaking of crackle nails, if you're in NYC and want a fabulous mani/pedi with the crackle nail polish--hit up our friends over at Blush Nails in the East Village.  One of my new fave gems of a nail salon.  Fabness indeed.

The model's been working everybody's red carpet these days it seems.

Good friends Julissa Bermudez and Adrienne Bailon--who seem to attend even the opening of an envelope--hit the carpet.

Not gonna lie.  LOVING this dress and the look Adrienne.

Actress Zoe Kravitz, who stars in X-Men: First Class this summer, hit the carpet for the opening night premiere of "The Union." Interesting "tailed" dress for her.  But cute white and studded blazer though.

Tracee Ellis Ross, Wendy Williams, Pooch Hall & Others At The BET UPFRONTS In NYC

Last night, BET rolled out the red carpet for the network's on-air entertainment and we have pics of Hosea Chancez,  Wendy Williams and Tracee Ellis Ross inside..... 

The Best Buy Theatre in NYC played host to the BET NETWORK UPFRONTS last night as the network presented the stars of its on-air entertainment programs to the media.

The fabulous Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner helped host the upfronts as they brought out talent from such popular shows as "The Game" "Let's Stay Together" and "106 & Park."

This fall, Tracee and Malcolm will star in 'Reed Between The Lines' where they play an English professor and a psychologist who are parenting three children.

 

The glamourous Tracee Ellis Ross kept it grown and sex in floral.

Actress Wendy Raquel Robinson aka Tasha Mack looked fab.

Hosea Chanchez kicked it with "106 & Park" host Rocsi.

Beyonce Releases "Run The World (Girls)" Cover Art, Readies For Radio+Kobe Bryant Does His Anti-Discriminatory PSA Duties

Beyonce just released her cover art for her new single "Run The World (Girls)."  The track impacts radiotomorrow and iTunes today.  So let the swarm begin.

 

The cover art, plus news on Kobe Bryant's anti-discriminatory campaign, when you read on...

"Run The World (Girls)" was written by The Dream and produced by Diplo (half of Major Lazer).  The track impacts radio tomorrow at 8:00 AM EDT in the US/1:00 PM BST in the UK.  And it's on iTunes right now.

In other news, Kobe Bryant went through with his new anti-discriminatory PSA.  After dropping the F-Bomb at a game a week ago (not that F bomb, the OTHER one), GLAAD and many other human right groups demanded an apology and action from Kobe.  So this is hat he and his teammates recently did:

Kanye Fires Shots At Ex Amber Rose, Confrontation Occurs With Wiz Khalifa

It was inevitable to happen.  Kanye West headlined the last night of Coachella Music Fest Sunday, and Wiz Khalifa was also on the bill that day.  Kanye decided to throw some verbal shots at his ex, Amber Rose, who is now dating Mr. Khalifa.  And some ish went down afterwards.

 

Deets when you read on...

Kanye and Amber broke up almost a year ago.  But Kanye still likes to reference her Hollywood Hop activities in his songs.  So during his epic 2-hour Coachella set Sunday night, he changed up some lyrics in "Stronger" as he was well aware Wiz and his ex Amber were only a few feet from him at the time.

The original lyrics to the verse: “I’d do anything for a blonde dike, and she’ll do anything if the time’s right.”

Kanye changed the lyrics during his set to: “I did anything for that blonde dike. And she did anything when the time’s right.”

Obviously that pushed Wiz's buttons because he allegedly stepped to Kanye after his set.  Supposedly to end all these "exchanges" as of late.  They exchanged words, a shoving match went down between their entourages, and that was a wrap.

Wiz tweeted the next morning:

“Waken...baken...no i didnt go out swangen...im too hippie for that ishh.”

Sigh.  All I can do is SIGH.

BONUS: It's still a mystery as to why, but Kanye West's Foundation, that was once run by his late mother, Donda West, has shut down.  The Foundation's purpose was to combat the number of youths who drop out of school and to encourage them to stay in school using arts and music.

The Randomness:

1.  Rihanna just got her 10th #1 of her career with "S&M".  She's the first SOLO artist to do so in the shortest span between a first and 10th number one in the Billboard chart.

2.  Rapper Game is being detained in Canada for 2 weeks after attempting to enter the country on 4-20.  Reason?  Supposedly for violating Canada's immigration laws.  He does have a rap sheet here in the states.  He tweeted:

I’m being detained in Canada for 14 days until they process my inadmissibility then I’ll have a hearing heard by a judge.”

A few extra pics from Jay-Z, Beyonce, Julez, and Daniel Sr.,'s lunch today in Paris have surfaced. And clearly, Mr. Carter was more than happy with his wife's sexy dress for the day. Somebody had an extra friend tag along once he got up from the table....and we aint talkin' about Julez.

Halle Berry Opens Up To "EXTRA" About Her Custody Battle + Halle Fails To Reach Deal With Gabriel In Court

In a rare moment, Halle Berry opened up to "EXTRA" about the messy custody battle she is going through with Gabriel Aubry.  Hear what she had to say inside and get an update on today's court proceedings...

 

As you may remember, Halle and Gabriel began going through a really messy custody battle a few months ago.  There was a lot of name calling and mud slinging.  But during a recent interview, Halle opened up for the first time about it and explained what went wrong.  She says she and Gabriel reached a point where they needed a court to help them make decision.

“When there’s a child involved, it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place- because for her sake, this is the best way…. We both love her more than life.”

Also during the interview, Halle talked about her work with the “What a Little Love Can Do” project, which renovates apartments at the transitional housing shelter for victims of domestic violence. She said, 

“There’s such a stigma that goes a long with a shelter, and I thought if we can make shelter life be something for them to aspire to have when they leave here, we’ll have done something really good… I care so much about women and I care so much about children. I’ve had certain experiences in my life that make it easy for me to understand the hardships that women face; the hardships that children face. And because it’s so personal for me, it’s a way that I sort of get to extricate my own demons by doing something good to help others. It’s really fulfilling work that I get to do.”

Interesting how her charity work plays into the drama with Gabriel.  I hope this all works out for little Nahla.

UPDATE:  Halle and Gabriel just left court and no deal was reached in their custody battle. Sources told TMZ that although both parties were close to a deal last week, new issues have come up with regards to Halle taking Nahla with her when she travels for work. Sigh.....Gabriel.....please let Halle earn a living.

Lunch in Paris? Well...why not. The Carter-Knowles family got swarmed by paparazzi and fans...and by swarmed we mean suffocated...as they left their swanky Le Meurice hotel for the popular eatery L'Avenue this afternoon.

 

Beyonce, rocking a low cut sexy black and bronze mini-dress, and Jay-Z brought nephew Julez along for the posh trip, and his dad, Solange's ex-husband Daniel Sr., was there too (on the right), and they were all spotted enjoying lunch amongst a sea of onlookers.  We've got 20+ cute pics of the fam when you read on....

The globe trotting duo was spotted making an exit from their luxe hotel:

Willow Smith Set To Perform At The White House + Marsha Ambrosius Joins R. Kelly's "Love Letter" Tour + Jill Scott Drops Album Cover Art

While Willow Smith was whipping her hair on the beach in Hawaii over the weekend, her Roc Nation team was booking her for a big gig at the White House.  Find out what Willow will be doing, whose tour Marsha Ambrosius is set to join and see Jill Scott's new album cover inside....

 

Willow Smith was seen whipping her hair in Oahu, Hawaii recently.  And she's headed to Washington, D.C. on April 25th to perform for 30,000 folks at the White House Easter Egg hunt.  Mr. and Mrs. Obama open up the ground to kids of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the holiday.  Fine family fun.

 

 

J Records’ artist Marsha Ambrosius, who's riding high on the charts with her Late Nights & Early Mornings disc, is set to join R. Kelly and Keyshia Cole on the U.S. portion of R. Kelly’s “Love Letter” tour.

The "Far Away" singer will begin performing on June 2nd at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, MS.  The tour will make several stops across the country including Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and Marsha’s adopted hometown, Philadelphia.
