Does Paula Deen Have Diabetes From Eating All That Deep Fried Food? Posted: 29 Apr 2011 11:14 AM PDT According to the National Enquirer, Food Network star Paula Deen has developed diabetes from her steady diet of things containing butter, sugar, and lard. The article claims that Paula has known about the diabetes for several years but has kept it to herself rather than “disappoint her fans” or give up the multimillion-dollar empire she founded on the back of some caramelized bacon. Reportedly, Paula resisted changing her diet and giving up the foods she loves, but her husband Michael Groover convinced her to take better care of herself. What is it with celebrity chefs lately? First, Giada de Laurentiis supposedly hooks up with John Mayer, and now this? I’m going to go bathe in buttermilk until I feel better. Emma Watson Addresses Brown Bullying Rumors Posted: 29 Apr 2011 10:06 AM PDT One of the more aww-inducing stories from last week was that Emma Watson left Brown University because her classmates would shout, “Three points for Gryffindor!” when she got the right answer in a seminar. Considering that her Harry Potter alter ego Hermione also got flak for being a smartie, it wasn’t such a ludicrous rumor. However, Watson just released a statement on her website saying that no one ever bullied her and politely telling the media to lay off the speculation on what she’ll be doing in the fall: Dear all, I felt the need to let you all know the reason I took a semester off from Brown had nothing to do with bullying as the media have been suggesting recently. I have never been bullied in my life and certainly never at Brown. This ’10 points to Gryffindor’ incident never even happened. I feel the need to say this because accusing Brown students of something as serious as bullying and this causing me to leave seems beyond unfair. Please don’t try and speculate about what I might do in September – no one can possibly know because I don’t even know yet! Like my other fellow Brown students I am trying to figure out my third year and whether or not I will spend it abroad (this is common). I hope you all liked the new Harry Potter trailer. I am off to Pittsbugh soon to start “The Perks of being a Wallflower”. I’ve just got back from hanging out with Stephen Chobosky (the director and writer), Logan and Ezra (the two other principal actors) and I already know this is going to be an incredible experience. I feel very lucky. Hope you are all doing good. Take care, Love Emma xx. And if you don’t believe that she’s doing well, that’s her visiting former co-star Daniel Radcliffe, who’s starring in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway. 5 Facts About Prince Harry's Royal Wedding Date Chelsy Davy Posted: 29 Apr 2011 10:05 AM PDT Now that Prince William is off the market, single women of the world are focusing their attention on his hot redheaded brother Prince Harry. But you’ll have to fight off his on and off girlfriend Chelsy Davy, who may or may not have been his date to the royal wedding. (She was there, but didn’t sit with Harry because he was up on stage with his brother, and the royal family has not confirmed whether the couple is back on.) 1. She’s from Zimbabwe. Though Chelsey’s family is of British origin, she was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Her father runs a safari company. She attended school in Zimbabwe but went to South Africa for university. 2. She’s a lawyer. Chelsy moved to England to study law at the University of Leeds. After practicing law in South Africa for awhile, she is now back in England – and back on with Harry – to train at a firm in London. 3. She and Kate Middleton are friends. During her on-and-off relationship with Harry, Chelsey got to know Kate. The pair were spotted shopping together in London last week as the wedding-related frenzy hit fever pitch. 4. She reportedly helped Harry write his best man speech. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsy helped Harry put together his best man speech for the reception “because she has a better memory of their nights out.” That is a nod to Chelsy’s party-girl reputation, as she and Harry were often photographed stumbling out of nightclubs together. Hey, you wouldn’t expect the younger brother to be as serious as the older one, would you? 5. She loves Facebook. In 2009, when Harry and Chelsey split up the first time, the media found out because Chelsy changed her Facebook status to “single.” As for rumors that their breakup happened because Harry wouldn’t put a ring on it, she didn’t confirm or deny via social media. Snap This: Kate and William Drive Off In Style Posted: 29 Apr 2011 09:36 AM PDT In addition to having a gorgeous dress, beautiful flowers, and some of the most important people in the world at their wedding, Prince William and Princess Catherine also got to drive off in style. More specifically, in a custom-made Aston Martin that runs on sustainable fuel made from English wine wastage. I think I’m starting to get why people want to be princesses when they grow up. Video: Your Guide to Reality Show Elimination Catchphrases Posted: 29 Apr 2011 09:05 AM PDT Some reality show kiss-off lines are iconic (“You’re owt”), and some are just plain cold (“Your wedding will still go on, but it won’t be perfect”). MTV compiled some of the best and worst in this video. Frankly, we think “sashay away” needs to be more popular. Post from: Crushable |
Am I Right Ladies? More Like Royal DREADING Gifts Posted: 29 Apr 2011 09:20 AM PDT Ladies let's face it, we're all in various stages of recovery from Prince William fever. Whether it was a sexy dream we had one time, posters on our girlhood walls or a very expensive pilgrimage to Buckingham Palace five years ago only to find out he wasn't even in England at the time – we've all been there. Some of us have a crippling credit card payment plan to show for it. But in these dark hours, sisters, we must band together. We must congratulate our sister Kate for reeling in the catch of the century. Remember, some day our prince will come – and hopefully we will too, amirightladies? And what's the best way to begin the healing? By buying s**t. Your spirits don't have to be the only thing in decline, amirightVISA? So c'mon my sulking shopaholics – let's get commemorative!
