The District 5 Tributes Have Been Cast In ‘The Hunger Games’

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 05:30 PM PDT

Earlier today we read that Woody Harrelson has reportedly been offered the role of Head Gamemaster Seneca Crane in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and that Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz have also been offered unknown roles. Right now, tho, we learn for certain that the boy and girl tributes from District 5 have been cast for the film. Newcomers Chris Mark and Jackie Emerson have won the roles … both characters are nameless but the girl tribute from District 5 is referred to as Foxface.

Via the official The Hunger Games Facebook page, Lionsgate has announced the casting of Chris Mark and Jackie Emerson as the boy and girl (Foxface) tributes for District 5 in The Hunger Games Movie. Foxface never says a word throughout the novel, but Katniss hears her laugh when the Careers' food is destroyed. She is quick and clever, and dashes in and out of traps to collect what she needs without bloodshed or contact with anyone.

More unknown casting, which is good, but at this point … the rest of the tributes will likely be played by other actors we’ve never heard of before. Still, I’m very glad they are casting unknown actors in the roles and I’m happy they will continue to do so. I am VERY anxious to hear which known actors will get the plumb roles so any and all casting news from The Hunger Games is welcome by me. Next up, the tributes from District 6?

Production Begins On The Set Of ’21 Jump Street: The Movie’

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 04:30 PM PDT

The big screen adaption of the TV series 21 Jump Street had begun principal filming as the first photos from the set have make their way to the Internets. Stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were photographed on set, in their police uniforms. The film got a boost of cred recently when it was reported Johnny Depp, who starred on the original TV series, will make a cameo in the film. Whether you like it or not, 21 Jump Street: The Movie is coming our way.

It looks like Jonah Hill has gotten his wish. ComingSoon.net has confirmed that Johnny Depp will indeed have a small cameo role in Columbia Pictures’ 21 Jump Street, which is now filming for a March 16, 2012 release. To be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), the big screen adaptation stars Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, DeRay Davis, Dave Franco and Jake Johnson. Based on the Fox series that ran from 1987 to 1991, the movie will center on two undercover cops (Hill and Tatum), who are assigned to work in schools. Cube is playing the police chief and Larson is the female lead. Hill had previously said that they had written a “really funny” cameo for Depp and was hopeful that he would do it. Depp, who played Officer Tom Hanson in the series for 80 episodes, can next be seen in theaters when Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens on May 20.

While I **honestly** do not believe the world needs a 21 Jump Street movie, I will see this film when it gets released for 2 reasons … Channing Tatum and Johnny Depp. I used to watch 21 Jump Street back in the day but it wasn’t one of my fave shows. I’d watch it when it was on but I didn’t think it was anything special. This movie is going to be cheese-o-rama. Any Jump Street fans out there? Are you excited about this film?

Kate Moss Does ‘Vogue Brasil’ Magazine . . . Nekkid!

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 03:30 PM PDT

Kate Moss, who seems to be quite as ease both fully clothed AND fully nude, is quite the latter on the cover of the new issue of Brazilian Vogue magazine. Moss, who was photographed by Mario Testino (who, you may know, photographed the newly married Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Wills and Kate for all of their official Royal Wedding photos), is totally nekkid on the cover the mag … but because her back is turned to the camera, all you can see is her perfectly Photoshopped bum. Check out the semi-NSFW cover below.

She may be 37-years-old, but Kate Moss can clearly still do a smouldering magazine cover as well as a model half her age. And she’s got the body to prove it. The British model looks stunning as she poses nude for the May issue of Brazilian Vogue, wearing nothing but a pair of gold cuff bracelets, and showing off a pair of tiny tattoos above her derrière. With her hair a shade of honey blonde and her eyes rimmed with black eyeliner, the sizzling picture was taken by renowned photographer Mario Testino. The photograph, along with inside images, were taken in the city of Sao Paolo to mark the magazine’s 36th anniversary. Kate recently told Vogue U.K that she shot 60 pages for the magazine while in the South American country with her eight-year-old daughter Lila. ‘It was a lot,’ she told the magazine. ‘I had Lila with me and I thought it would be more of a holiday. ‘Mario usually finishes quite early, but not this time.’ The model is clearly still in demand for glossy magazine shoots, appearing on the covers of both Vogue Paris and Vogue Japan in May.

Honestly, I don’t really think about Kate Moss all that much but sometimes her photos really reach out and grab me. I don’t know why but I really like this cover. It’s sexy but not gratuitous. It’s a fab cover, deffo eye-catching and something that I’d be interested in picking up. I love how Kate Moss has no problem with nudity. She never strikes me as vulgar. I think this is a great cover, what do you think?

Woody Harrelson Will Reportedly Play Seneca Crane In ‘The Hunger Games’

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 02:30 PM PDT

Last weekend New York magazine reported that actor John C. Reilly was up for the role of Haymitch Abernathy in the much-anticipated big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and altho that report has yet to be confirmed, the magazine is reporting new casting rumors about the film. It is being reported that actor Woody Harrelson has been offered the role of Head Gamemaster Seneca Crane. There is also word that both Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz have been offered roles in the film. Altho unsubstantiated, this new casting talk is very interesting.

The paranoia and secrecy surrounding The Hunger Games at Lionsgate Films have reached a level befitting the totalitarian state of Panem: We're told that not only are Hollywood agents being forced to sign nondisclosure agreements in order to receive offers for clients, but that even their assistants are being forced to sign NDAs, too. Nonetheless, Vulture has been able to glean that a passel of offers have gone out to talent, most notably to Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz. We're told that Harrelson's offer is to play the role of the Head Gamemaker, Seneca Crane, of the 74th Hunger Games. Also said to be receiving Hunger Games offers: Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz, though exactly which roles they've been offered is, for now, still unclear. One can imagine that after starring as the aesthetically obsessed art director Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada, Tucci would make for an excellent Cinna; then again, he's so imperious, Tucci could be a great President Snow, too. And as to Kravitz's involvement, we're at a loss, but we'll keep you posted.

You know, I never really had an image in my mind of what Seneca Crane looks like while I read the books so I’m not that emotionally invested in his casting. Now that I know that Harrelson‘s name is being talked about in regards to casting this role, I can see how he might be a good fit. As for the Stanley Tucci suggestion that he might make a good Cinna … call me crazy but I think I agree. I’ve always pictured Cinna as a young, thin man in his 20s … but that was never expressly described in the book. Thinking back, Cinna‘s design brilliance suggests that he could be an older man. If so, I can really see Stanley Tucci in the role. It’s interesting talk … we’ll have to see if that rumor has any merit. As for Lenny Kratvitz? He’s an odd name to hear in casting The Hunger Games … I don’t know which character I see him playing. What do y’all think? Are Woody, Stanley and Lenny good fits for The Hunger Games?

This first song really sets the tone and mood of the show and is a ROUSING number when performed live. While I feel that you MUST see this show in person, getting to hear the music on the soundtrack is a pretty fun experience, too. Take a listen to Hello! and hear what you’ve been missing:

The soundtrack for The Book of Mormon can be pre-ordered in CD version HERE or on iTunes HERE. Without question, The Book of Mormon is my fave new musical … you MUST see this show … or, at the very least, pick up the soundtrack. What do y’all think of this track? It’s fun, right?

Jammin’ With The Partyman

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 12:25 PM PDT

So … let me tell you about my night last night. I have been to my fair share of Prince concerts over the years and I am planning to attend many more in the future … but last night’s show will stand out in my mind as one of the most fun, one of the most mind-blowing concerts I’ve ever attended. I have to make clear, EVERY Prince concert is special and magical … but sometimes, the setlist just comes together so perfectly for that night that … lifelong memories are made. David and I attended last night’s Prince concert at the LA Forum with our dear friend David Russell and we had THE time of our lives.

I honestly never go into any Prince show with any expectations … because I’ve been to enough shows to know by now that anything is possible. Before the show started, the Davids and I were talking about songs we wanted to hear. David Russell’s fave Prince song is 17 Days and he was hoping but not counting on hearing it. My David wanted to hear Let’s Go Crazy. I knew, somehow, that both songs would be performed … I don’t know how, it was just a gut feeling. It’s not uncommon for Prince to perform Let’s Go Crazy so that wasn’t tough to foresee … but Prince very rarely does 17 Days and, yet, he did it for us last night. With my O(+> tambourine in hand, I just let the music flow over me and I was just in heaven. I will say the song that literally made me JUMP and DANCE and SCREAM my head off was Partyman (From the Batman soundtrack) … one of my fave songs that I’ve never heard performed live in concert before. There’s really no way to truly explain what a Prince concert is like if you’ve never been to one. There are no artist out there … NONE … who puts on a show like Prince. I’ve seen people raise their hands in ecstasy while partaking of religious services … when I am at a Prince concert, I know what that feels like … and my hands go in the air. I banged my tambourine so hard, my hand is a bit swollen … but I am very much looking forward to going back to The Forum tonight to see Prince do it all over again :D But … I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Check out the setlist from last night’s show. Prince played for about 3 1/2 hours and came back on stage for 5 encores … FIVE!

Setlist:

Joy In Repetition
Brown Skin (India.Arie cover)
17 Days
Lovergirl (Teena Marie cover)
Shhhh
Controversy
Which Way Is Up
What Have U Done 4 Me Lately
Partyman
It’s Alright
Make U Feel My Love
Misty Blue
Let’s Go Crazy
Delirious
1999
Little Red Corvette

Encore 1:

Purple Rain

Encore 2:

The Bird
Jungle Love
A Love Bizarre

Encore 3:

Kiss

Encore 4:

Play That Funky Music
Hollywood (Inglewood) Swinging
Fantastic Voyage (Lakeside cover)

Encore 5:

More Than This (Roxy Music cover)

The show started at 9:55pm and did not totally end until about 12:30am. It was just … magic. I am SO excited to go back for another show tonight … this time with Angie and Ollie. I’ll be icing my hand today so that it’ll be ready to bang my tambourine again at tonight’s show. If you live in LA and you miss seeing Prince at one of his 21 Night Stand shows (tickets start at $25 — all fees included) then you are really — honest to the gods — doing yourself a disservice.

Happy Friday, Happy Weekend!!

Miranda Kerr Happily Breastfeeds At The Office

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 10:36 AM PDT

Last week we saw photos of working new mom Miranda Kerr traveling with her hubby Orlando Bloom and their beautiful baby son Flynn but today we get to see a photo of just Miranda and Flynn taking a lunch break during a photoshoot this week. The lunch break was for Flynn, actually, as Miranda was the one feeding him … on set … right from her breast … as moms are wont to do.

Another day in the office xxx

Can I just say how much I LOVE Miranda‘s ease of sharing a photo like this. It’s really ridiculous how much flak moms who breastfeed their children get from some people. There is nothing more natural as a mother breastfeeding their child and yet, some people find the public practice inappropriate and/or offensive. Clearly, Miranda has no qualms about feeding her son whenever she wants to, wherever she is. And while she doesn’t, necessarily, need to share the photos with all the world … I’m glad that she did. There is nothing wrong with a mother breastfeeding her child. This is a beautiful photo. In fact, it may be the most beautiful I’ve ever seen of Miranda Kerr.

First Look: Christian Bale Reportedly Surfaces On The Set Of ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 10:22 AM PDT

On Wednesday we got to see a few photos of Tom Hardy on the set of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises lookin’ beefy as all get-out as he prepares to play the role of the villainous Bane in the upcoming sequel film. Today we get to see a photo of lead actor Christian Bale lookin’ pretty beat up in a reported make-up test for the film. Check out the photo below and see just how bad Bale gets “beaten” in The Dark Knight Rises.

An image has popped-up online, which many think is a leaked photo of a Make-Up test done on Christian Bale for The Dark Knight Rises. Some fans claim that this is what Bruce Wayne will look like after getting beat-up by Bane (Tom Hardy). Others think it might be a make-up test from the now-in production drama The 13 Women of Nanjing, which Christian Bale is headlining. In a few short hours, we may even find out that it’s some super old picture from Terminator Salvation. But hey, its fun to look at, and maybe this is the handy work of Bane after all. Who knows?

Yes, I suppose it’s impossible to know where this photo was taken and for what film without official confirmation but it’s — at the very least — very feasible that this photo of Bale is from the set of The Dark Knight Rises. Considering that the Tom Hardy photos from the set have come out (I understand Hardy sent the photos himself to a fansite for posting), it’s very likely that other stars of the film are on set as well. Altho we have an entire year to wait for The Dark Knight Rises to hit theaters, I know (very unfortunately) that the time will fly by. We’re getting our first glimpses at photos from the set but very soon we will be seeing photos from actual filming production. Batman will rise again … who’s excited?!

Jared Leto Is The New Face Of Hugo Boss

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 10:01 AM PDT

Congratulations are in order for 30 Seconds to Mars frontman and sometime actor Jared Leto because he has just been announced as the new face of one of Huge Boss‘s new fragrances. That’s right … Leto will be the worldwide face of HUGO by Hugo Boss and will feature in a plethora of promo materials for the fragrance … exciting yeah? Read on for all the deets.

Exciting news! HUGO Fragrances has signed Jared Leto as the face of the extraordinary new HUGO scent for men, launching in July 2011. Here's what Jared had to say about the news: "HUGO inspires men to succeed through creativity, which is something I've aimed for my entire career. Like the HUGO man I look for inspiration in everything around me and seek out unusual and unexpected things and experiences." Stay tuned for more exclusive news and behind-the-scenes content on the signing and the new fragrance in the coming weeks.

I so love the canned quote from Jared Leto … as if we’re to honestly thinks this new fragrance will inspire anyone to succeed in anything. To be honest, I’m never excited in the least when a celeb signs on for a particular product endorsement except for the fact that we will be getting fun (and hopefully hot) promo materials in the future. I will say that hiring Jared Leto to be the face of this new fragrance is a pretty smart move on Hugo Boss‘s part … without question, Leto‘s legion of fans will — at the very least — buy up as many bottles as they can. He’s deffo a hottie … and hotties sell fragrance. I can’t wait to see what this new ad campaign will look like.

Watch: ‘Transformers: Dark Of The Moon’ Releases A Fourth Movie Trailer

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 08:52 AM PDT

Earlier this week, we got to see a few new promo posters and photos from the upcoming sequel film Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Today we get to check out the fourth trailer released for the film … and this one is good. I’ve been, for the most part, very impressed with all of the promo trailers that have been released thus far — most especially, the first teaser trailer we saw last December. I have to say, tho, of the “exciting” action packed trailers, this fourth one has become my new fave. Check it out below.

I am really loving the way Dark of the Moon looks … the story looks great, the action looks great and the FX look amazing. I’m comforted greatly by the fact that Stephen Spielberg is involved in production. It’s quite possible that Transformers 3 will be as good as Transformers 2 was bad … that means, T3 could be the best film of the bunch. I am very much looking forward to the early July release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon … are you?

David Beckham, Victoria Beckham & Baby Bump Attend The Royal Wedding

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 08:35 AM PDT

Yesterday we saw photos of David and Victoria Beckham (and kids) making their way to London to attend the Royal Wedding of William and Kate – the now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – (which, as you should know, took place in front of the world just hours ago) and right now we get to see how fabulous Posh and Becks looked at the ceremony. He wore black tails, she wore navy blue … and their precious little girl baby bump was the only of the Beckham children who got to attend the wedding ;)

Everyone was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Prince William and Kate Middleton for their big day. But before the couple of the moment made an appearance, first it was time for the showbiz royalty to arrive. David and Victoria Beckham drew huge cheers from the crowd as they made their glamorous way slowly into the Abbey, ensuring everyone got a good look at their outfits. As Victoria’s spokesperson confirmed, the pregnant fashion guru wore a stunning midnight blue boat neck tunic dress from her latest AW11 collection, which she unveiled at New York Fashion Week in February. Victoria had her hair tied back in a long ponytail and accessorised the outfit with a Phillip Treacy hat and a pair of specially customised Christian Louboutin heels. However, the outfit was a lot more minimal than some had expected Victoria to wear for the occasion. And there was no hint the dress may have been a specially-designed maternity outfit, as Victoria’s bump was barely visible under the dress. Meanwhile, husband David cut a sharp figure in a smart dark Ralph Lauren grey suit with a light grey cravat, and opted to proudly wear his CBE on his right lapel for the occasion. He teamed the suit with black crocodile accented braces and personalised DB cufflinks worked in sterling silver … Beckham spoke recently about the build-up to the wedding, admitting the couple were feeling a little nervous about being part of such a massive event. He said: ‘We are very proud of our Royal family and to be invited to it, we are both excited. Victoria is a little bit worried because she will be a few more months pregnant by then.’

I think Becks and Vicki B. looked great! Very regal yet understated … stylish and quite handsome, the both of them. I’m not sure what I was expecting, maybe something more elaborate, but I’m glad to see that Vicks kept things minimal yet stylish. As for Becks, ye gods, that man looks good in EVERYTHING (and nothing at all). I really hate tuxedos with tails because generally, the don’t look good on most men … that is NOT the case where David Beckham is concerned. He looks amazing. The photo of him rubbing Victoria‘s bump is just to die for! Of the celebs in attendance at the Royal Wedding today, hands down Les Beckhams are my faves. They look great, don’t’ they?

Prince William & Kate Middleton Got Hitched!

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 08:00 AM PDT

And so … the Royal Wedding that we have been waiting for … is over. Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales — who is now the Duke of Cambridge — married the love of his life Catherine Elizabeth Kate Middleton — now the Duchess of Cambridge — in an absolutely beautiful ceremony in front of the eyes of the world. The bride wore Alexander McQueen (designed by Sarah Burton), the groom his red best … and the world watched with wonder as a real life fairytale played out for all to see. Check out below some photos and deets from the Royal Wedding of Wills and Kate and see the kiss that was so sweet, it had to be done twice.

With the eyes of the world watching, Prince William and Catherine Middleton became husband and wife Friday morning – and the newly ennobled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – at London’s Westminster Abbey. The wedding, pegged the greatest and grandest royal affair since Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s 1981 nuptials, is the fairy-tale ending to a love story thrust into the spotlight last November when the couple first announced their engagement. “I, William Arthur Philip Louis, take thee, Catherine Elizabeth, to my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse,” William vowed. “For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death us do part.” With brother and best man Prince Harry, sporting the uniform of Captain of the Household Cavalry, by his side, William, 28, wearing the scarlet uniform of the Colonel of the Irish Guards, slipped a traditional Welsh gold wedding band on Middleton’s finger, saying, “With this ring, I thee wed.” The couple also wrote their own prayer for the occasion. “God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage,” they said. “In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer.” With rows of trees lining the aisle of Westminster Abbey, music selected by the couple performed by the London Chamber Orchestra and a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress – the best-kept secret of the event – on the bride, no detail was too small for Friday’s ceremony. Middleton, 29, arrived to the Abbey in burgundy-and-black-colored Rolls-Royce, not a carriage, opting for a “lower-key arrival,” a palace source told PEOPLE in February. Guests such as Elton John and Victoria and David Beckham, just a few of the A-listers among the 1,900 who received an invitation, sat in chairs faced inward toward the aisle as Middleton walked toward her prince during the hour-long ceremony. Afterward, Queen Elizabeth was set to host a post-wedding breakfast of champagne and canapés at Buckingham Palace for 600 guests. At 7 p.m., Prince Charles will throw a dinner dance for about 300 guests in another one of the palace’s state rooms. Before the wedding, the bride spent her last night as a single woman in the Royal Suite of the Goring Hotel, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace. William, meanwhile, stayed with his father and brother at the Clarence House … Vows were exchanged and the wedding dress was revealed, but royal watchers around the world were still waiting for that magical moment – when Prince William and Duchess Catherine Middleton stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace for their first kiss. At 1:25 p.m. London time, the fairy-tale moment unfolded, and the newly ennobled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared their first public kiss in front of thousands, who swarmed around Buckingham Palace to get a glimpse of the newlyweds in person. After waving to the crowd, with beaming smiles, the pair shared a demure peck while surrounded on all sides by their family. As the crowd cheered (some begging for more), the couple went in for a second, slightly longer kiss. And that balcony has historical significance: 30 years ago, Prince Charles and Princess Diana kissed in the same spot following their wedding.

Oh, let’s see those kisses again, shall we?

I think even the grumpy naysayers must admit … it was a beautiful ceremony and it was clear, Wills and Kate are really in love. I think when he whispered to her at the altar, “you look stunning”, the tears started to flow. Let’s send all of our LOVE and CONGRATS to the happily married couple! To the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, may you live long and prosperous lives together … Wills and Kate, may you truly live happily ever after!!!
