Nicole Richie Shares A Personal Family Tour Video Diary

This Spring, Nicole Richie and her children Harlow Winter Kate and Sparrow James Midnight joined hubby/father Joel Madden and his band Good Charlotte on their North American Tour. Along the way, Nicole snapped some photos and video of their tour adventures together and she put together a very cool, very sweet home video of some on-stage and back-stage footage. This tour was a family affair for the Richie-Maddens, some of which you can share in below.

Patrick Schwarzenegger Does ‘Details’ Magazine

In October of last year, we were introduced to Patrick Schwarzenegger — son of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger — in a set of shirtless photos of the lad as he made his way into a yoga session with his mom. Today we get to know a bit more about the guy in the pages of Details magazine. Patrick gave his first interview to Details and is featured in a fun accompanying photospread. Read some excerpts and see his photos below.

On his famous parents’ influence: "My mom raised me with the idea of doing public service, and I definitely want to go in that direction. But I also want to follow in my dad's entrepreneurial footsteps."

On modeling: Patrick's doing it to "inject some capital" into his clothing company, Project360, and to "get comfortable infront of the camera." But modeling "isn't going to be my permanent job. There's a lot of other things I want to do."

On dating: Although he just reunited with an ex, he cockily refers to his tweet-mates Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez as "girls for the future." My eye, though," he ads, "is set on Miley."

On growing up in a political family: "I want to have fun in life. No, politics isn't on the list."

Uh oh … something tells me that Patrick is going to be a heartbreaker. The eldest son of Ahhhhnold AND and heir to the Kennedy dynasty? Yeah, this kid’s got the world on a string. It seems to me that this Details feature is meant to signal the world that he is coming out strong. It remains to be seen what, exactly, he plans to do with his life but I’m guessing he’ll have not too many problems with getting what he wants.

Suri Holmes-Cruise Celebrates Her 5th Birthday

Suri Holmes-Cruise, the only begotten child of the union of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, celebrated her 5th birthday in SoCal yesterday with some family and a few of her parents’ closest friends at a backyard party at their Beverly Hills, CA home. Suri, who was the belle of the ball, was seated at the head of the table, carefully opening her presents. Check out some fun photos from her 5th birthday fête below.


While I’m pretty sure that Suri wasn’t opening any boxes of penis-shaped gummi candies, I’m gonna venture a guess that the little princess was gifted with any and everything her heart desired. It’s insane to me to think that it’s been 5 years since Suri was born. She is no longer TomKat‘s little robot baby … she’s a little girl now. Let’s send Suri our warmest birthday wishes for many many more happy birthdays to come. Something tells me that we are going to have an interesting time watching this little one continue to grow up.

‘X-Men: First Class’ Releases A New Promo Image Of Charles Xavier & Erik Lehnsherr

Last month, the official Facebook profile for X-Men: First Class released a promo image of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and today we get to see a newly released promo image of Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender). The shot is from an action scene that we will see in the film when it is released in June. Check out the photo below.


You know, the more I see photos of Fassbender as Magneto, the more I love his casting. He looks like he is going to make a great X-Men character. I am really looking forward to this film … X-Men in the swinging 60′s sounds fun as Hell, don’t it?

A few weeks ago, Mariah Carey bared her nekkid baby bump on the cover and in the pages of Life & Style magazine. This week, Mimi takes us into her home to see the nursery that she styled and put together for her forthcoming twin babies … which are due to be born at any moment. Both rooms are filled with comfy chairs, plush stuffed animals and the parents-to-be's personal touch! "I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies," Mariah tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. "Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities." Separate — but equally glam! "Designing the LA nursery with Gail Sedigh of AFK Furniture and world-famous decorator Mario Buatta was so challenging because I had such specific ideas I wanted implemented. I feel like I'm bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink.” And dad Nick agrees. He wanted the twins' side-by-side cribs accented with pink and green bedding instead of the traditional pink and blue. Mariah's favorite part of the twins' LA nursery? The cloudscape, star-speckled ceiling. "The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It's based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: 'Underneath the Stars' and 'Close My Eyes,'" Mariah tells Life & Style. "Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled." Mariah also incorporated her favorite winged insects, butterflies, into the nursery and super-soft stuffed-animal lambs, what the singer endearingly calls her fans. Mariah has also been busy coordinating a nursery for the twins at her NYC apartment. "I prefer the East Coast schooling over the West Coast," Nick tells Life & Style. "But there are other things that come into play, like work." While Mariah has enjoyed her pregnancy, she and Nick are certainly ready for the arrival of their son and daughter! "Being a mother is probably the hardest job in the world. I feel like, in a lot of ways, children come into the world to teach us," Mariah says. "It's going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded. One thing I'm sure of is that I'll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what."

I LOVE the color scheme. The green is fab. To be honest, I think I was expecting a garishly over-the-top nursery but … the nursery that Mariah and Nick put together for their babies not only stylish but elegant as well. Dem babies are lucky little ducks … and they don’t even know it yet. I really love the photo of Mariah with her stuffed lamb as well … this is a great spread. Now … if Mimi would just have her babies already, I think we’d ALL be very happy :)

Watch: David Beckham & Sofia Vergara’s Pepsi Commercial

In late March we got to see some photos from the beach set of a new Pepsi commercial that will feature soccer stud David Beckham and actress Sofia Vergara. A few weeks later, Pepsi released a “behind the scenes” video that showed Becks on the commercial set doing some pretty amazing things with his balls … er, his soccer balls. Today we get to see the actual commercial itself. Check out the Twitter-inspired commercial for Pepsi starring Sofia and Becks.


LOL. This video is cute. Altho I wish there was more Becks in this commercial, it turned out really cute overall. I think it’s very smart of Pepsi to include a social media aspect to the commercial. The Twitter aspect will resonate with young folks while the older stars will resonate with the older set. It’s a cute commercial, I approve. What do y’all think? Do you like it?

Evan Rachel Wood Reveals Her Bisexuality

Last week Evan Rachel Wood opened up to New York magazine about her failed relationship with Marilyn Manson … and this week she opens up to Esquire magazine about her sexuality. ERW reveals to the magazine that she considers herself bisexual … she is into both “nice guys” and “nice girls”. Read on for more deets about ERW’s revealed sexual orientation.

It seems to be a case of life imitating art for Evan Rachel Wood. The 23-year-old actress, who plays lesbian vampire queen Sophie-Anne in TV hit True Blood, has admitted she dates women in real life too. ‘I’m up for anything. Meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl,’ she tells Esquire magazine in a new interview. The star replies ‘yes,’ after being asked if she dates women, adding she is ‘kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. ‘I’m the dominant one,’ she says. ‘I’m opening the doors, I’m buying dinner. Yeah, I’m romantic. I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls… I’m into androgyny in general.’ Wood also tells the magazine she would ‘marry’ her Mildred Pierce co-star Kate Winslet if she could. The actress plays Winslet’s daughter Veda Pierce in the five-part HBO mini series.

It’s very refreshing for a celebrity to be so open about such a private part of their life. While some may consider it “easy” for anyone, particularly a woman, to say I’m bi without having to deal with the stigma of being labeled a lesbian, I think it’s quite the opposite of “easy”. It is never easy for someone to admit that they are different from “the norm”. But, I feel that the more people that are honest about who they are, the less of a stigma is attached different sexualities and “the norm” is no longer the norm. Good for ERW for feeling the need to share this part of herself with the world. If we all were as honest, they may be less hatred and stigma amongst us overall.

Very Long Overdue

Last night David and I hung out with a group of friends last night that included Cara — who we hadn’t hung out with in ages — and Shane & Jordan, who we always make sure to spend time with when we’re in the city. We convened for dinner at The Smith in the East Village and then made our way to Splash Bar for Musical Monday. We had a blast, primarily because we were in such great company.


Cara is my girl who I’ve known for years but we realized that it had been FAR too long since we hung out together here in the city. Last night was our chance to remedy the fact that we hadn’t seen one another in a while and we picked up as if no time had passed. Shane is one of David’s BFFs so we always make sure to spend time with him here in the city … and randomly, we always run into Jordan here in NYC when we happen to be here. I have to tell you, I am a very lucky person. I know the coolest people in the world and I feel so blessed to count them as friends. That Cara and I can pick up after a few years as if no time has passed is just so wonderful. And there are few people in the world that make me as happy as Jordan does. We ate, we drank and were very merry here last night so … it was a very good night.

Tonight, David and I will be seeing Catch Me If You Can on Broadway. Catch Me stars Kerry Butler, who I met when she was starring in Xanadu and LOVED in Rock of Ages. I am very excited to see her in this new show. It’s supposed to be rainy tonight but I don’t think anything can dampen my spirits today. Happy Tuesday, y’all!!

Back in January we learned that Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy Montogomery on 90210, was getting a new love interest played by actor Alan Ritchson. Last night, on the Spring Break episde of the show, Teddy (Trevor Donovan) ran into Tripp (Alan Ritchson) on holiday and the guys shared a passionate kiss before retiring to a hotel room where they, presumably, did more than just kiss. Check out video of the guys’ hot hook-up below.

Whoa, hotness! How awesome is it that 90210 is now featuring same-sex relationships just as equally as heterosexual ones? You may recall that Teddy has already enjoyed a short same-sex relationship with a boyfriend named Ian on the show and is on the verge of starting a new relationship with another boyfriend named Marco. It looks like last night’s hook-up with Tripp was just a one-time fling … a HOT one-time fling. I am so impressed with 90210. Without having to resort to graphic shock tactics, they managed to show a passionate hook-up between two characters that is not only believable but non-gratuitous. I am so loving Teddy‘s storyline on the show … I can’t wait to see more.

Orlando & Flynn Bloom Take Their Adorableness To The Airport

When last we saw new papa Orlando Bloom with his newborn son Flynn, the pair were lookin’ all kinds of adorable hanging out together at a park in SoCal. Yesterday, Orlando, mama Miranda Kerr and Flynn were spotted making their way thru LAX Airport and the little nugget has grown considerably. Check out a few of the cutest pics of Orlando and big boy Flynn as they embarked on their travels together with mama Miranda.

There’s nothing that can melt a woman’s heart quite like the sight of a handsome man holding a baby, and you can double the effect if that man is Orlando Bloom. However Bloom, 33 , is pipped to the post when it comes to bagging the laurels for cutest chap in these pictures, by his adorable baby son Flynn. The three-month-old darling pulled a range of inquisitive faces as he navigated LAX airport with Canterbury-born Bloom … Flynn’s almond eyes and even features mirror those of his beautiful mother, Miranda Kerr, 27 , who walked behind her men with a friend … Flynn arrived on January 6th, weighing a healthy 9lbs 12 oz.

GAHHHH! Babies!!! How cute are these pics? The photo we saw yesterday of Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka‘s twin babies was just to die for … then came Tom Brady and his little man Benjamin Rein … and now we get these photos?! How are there such cute babies everywhere? Sooo cute!! Flynn was still brand new when we saw him in January … but he’s grown into quite a big boy in the months since. Such a cute family … right? OY! CUTE!!

Sean Preston Continues To Shine At Little League

Our dear Britney Spears took some time off from preparing for her upcoming Summer tour to spend some time in mommy mode at Sean Preston‘s latest Little League baseball game. As you may recall, Brit Brit has been seating front and center at Sean P‘s baseball games in recent weeks and this past weekend was no exception. She and boyfriend Jason Trawick were on hand to watch Sean hit, catch and score points for his team. Check out some photos below.

She has a brand new hit album and her Femme Fatale tour is kicking off this summer. But Britney Spears was turning her attention towards her family [this weekend]. The 29-year-old singer arrived with boyfriend Jason Trawick to watch her five-year-old son Sean Preston play a Little League baseball game near her California home. The star looked like she was enjoying the Los Angeles sunshine as she sipped a soft drink and chatted with Jason as they watched the action. She teamed a colourful patterned sun dress, wedge heeled shoes and dark eye makeup, while her boyfriend looked more casual in a polo shirt and jeans. Britney’s other son, Jayden James, four, was not playing for the team, which is part-coached by their father, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline. At one point, Britney’s former husband gave his son a congratulatory high five as he ran around the field.

Aww … little homie is a baseball star already! It is so cute seeing him in action … it’s crazy who quickly time flies. Britney‘s first baby is already a Little League baseball stud. As much as EVERYTHING that Kevin Federline does entirely grosses me out (not the least of which is his ability to make babies he doesn’t seem to pay for), I have to give him credit for his involvement with his son at least in this capacity as baseball coach. Having such an interactive relationship with his father during these formative years will likely have a very positive impact on him as he grows and matures. I just pray that K-Fed‘s involvement with his children remains positive. These are great photos … it’s always such a treat to see Britney‘s sons becoming the active little boys they’ve become.

Kate Middleton Gets Her Own Family Coat Of Arms

The Middleton family Coat of Arms has been unveiled in London this week ahead of Kate‘s upcoming royal nuptials to Prince William of Wales. Altho Wills got his own Coat of Arms at birth (it has a unicorn on it!!!), the Middleton family did not procure their own Coat of Arms until it became necessary … seeing that Kate is about to marry into the royal family. Check out Kate‘s new family Coat of Arms and see what the official program for the Royal Wedding will look like below.

Kate Middleton today joined the ranks of nobility as her very own coat of arms was unveiled… and that could prove profitable for the family business. The growing social status of the bride-to-be’s parents has been reflected in the new insignia which will feature on the Royal Wedding souvenir programme. In a canny move by her father, Michael Middleton, Kate’s family will all be able to use the crest ‘as he sees fit’ including for their Party Pieces business as it was he who commissioned it. The design released today incorporates an acorn sprig – one for each of the Middletons’ three children – an idea suggested by Kate. The oak tree is a traditional symbol of England and strength, and is a feature of west Berkshire where the family have lived for more than 30 years. At the centre of the coat of arms is an inverted ‘v’ or chevron coloured gold which represents Kate’s mother Carole Middleton whose maiden name was Goldsmith. Above and below this feature are white chevronels to symbolise peaks and mountains, reflecting the family’s love of the Lake District and skiing. But there are no references to the ancestors of the Middletons, made millionaires by their successful mail order business Party Pieces. The forebears of Michael, an ex-flight dispatcher, feature successful Leeds solicitors, while his wife, a former air hostess, is descended from a long line of labourers, carpenters and Durham coal miners. The design can be used by the Middletons howsoever they wish and if someone else uses it they can sue them at the Court of Chivalry which, apart from a case in 1954, hasn’t been convened since 1732. Thomas Woodcock, Garter Principal King of Arms, from the College of Arms in the City of London, sat down with Kate’s parents to create the design which cost £4,400. He said: ‘It’s not compulsory but as their daughter is marrying into the Royal Family she will have a need probably to use a coat of arms.’ He added that Miss Middleton could have been granted her own heraldic design but her father commissioned the College in his name so all the family could use it. Mr Woodcock added: ‘The Middleton family particularly wanted acorns or oak and I think Catherine Middleton in particular was responsible for the idea of these oak sprigs. The idea is that great trees grow from small acorns and the part of Berkshire in which the Middletons brought up their children there are a great many oak trees so it’s something they associate with the upbringing of their children. And in the centre you have what is known as a chevron and that has been made gold as Catherine Middleton’s mother’s maiden name was Goldsmith – so that’s a suitable reference to her in the centre of the family.’ A version of the coat and arms which can only be used by Kate or her sister Pippa, as it denotes a Middleton spinster, will be printed on the back of the souvenir programme while William’s will be on the front. The booklet will include the wedding order of service and be available on the day of the nuptials.


Oooooh, everything is getting all official. I have to say, altho we don’t use this Coat of Arms business here in the US, there is something romantic and intriguing about the whole concept. This is the sort of stuff we read about in fairytales and, yet, it actually exists in real life. Despite the fact that there are many naysayers who claim to be totally uninterested in the upcoming Royal Wedding, I can’t help but be excited about the whole thing. It really does feel like a fairytale come to life.

Elizabeth Banks Has Been Cast As Effie Trinket In ‘The Hunger Games’

Yesterday we learned that newcomers Amanda Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi have been cast as District 11 tributes Rue and Thresh (respectively) in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games. Previously we learned that Josh Hutcherson & Liam Hemsworth have been cast as Peeta and Gale (respectively) and Jennifer Lawarence has been cast in the lead role as Katniss Everdeen. Today we learn from Variety that actress Elizabeth Banks has won the role of Capitol bureaucrat Effie Trinket in the film.

Elizabeth Banks is in talks to star in "Hunger Games" as Effie Trinket, the flighty bureaucrat who wrangles the young death-match contestants to their fates, Variety’s Justin Kroll exclusively reports. Also joining the cast are Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi, who will play Rue and Thresh. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are already attached as leads to the project based on the wildly popular books, which Lionsgate hopes will be Hollywood’s next “Twilight”-sized phenomenon.

Excellent, excellent casting. I don’t usually tend to have images in my mind of book characters that correspond with real life actors … but I can see how some actors turn out to be perfect representations of the characters I had envisioned in my mind. When I think of Effie, I think the the sparkle in her eye, the perfection of her hair and the sweetness of her face … all characteristics that Elizabeth Banks possesses. I think she will make an excellent choice for the role. I also loved the casting of unknown actors for the roles of Rue and Thresh. I honestly still don’t see Peeta in Josh Hutcherson (cuz my heart was set on the already blonde Hunter Parrish) but, overall, I am happy with the casting of The Hunger Games thus far. Are you? First Listen: Beyoncé, ‘Girls (Who Run The World)’ (Demo)

Last week we got our first listen of a 20-second snippet of Beyoncé‘s new single Girls (Who Run the World) … today we get to hear the song in full. As you may know, Bey has been hard a work filming a new music video for the song and during the course of filming, snippets of the song have made their way to the Internets. Today we get to hear a demo version of the song in full that gives us a good taste of the final product. Listen to the demo version of Girls (Who Run the World) below.


Again, I should point out that I am just assuming that the title of the song is Girls (Who Run the World) because thus far there has been NO official confirmation about the song … at all. But the lyrics are clear enough to make an educated guess about the title. Listen to the track and see what you think:


Keep in mind, this is a DEMO version of the song … the final product will likely have more production, more instrumentation and maybe even different lyrics in places. I love the track, to be honest. I loved the snippet we heard and now hearing the whole track in demo form, I know I’m gonna love this song. Girl Power is back, y’all … courtesy of Ms. Beyoncé.
