Lindsay Lohan: Infamous Comic Book Hero

Early last month we learned that Bluewater Productions was planning the release of a comic book that would tell the tale of Charlie Sheen‘s lunacy and infamy. It would seem the folks at Bluewater have found their next infamous celebrity to pay homage to in comic book form … the infamous Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay will finally get a comic book like her fellow celebrity cohorts … but hers, unfortunately, will be all about her many, many, MANY legal woes. Lindsay Lohan's wild lifestyle, dysfunctional family and struggling career are being captured by Bluewater Productions in a new biographical comic book … The comic is titled Infamous: Lindsay Lohan and is set for a September 2011 release, but given the 24-year-old's latest legal shenanigans, there's still plenty to be added to the issue. "Lohan is both a victim of the all-consuming celebrity culture and a perpetrator of bad decisions, lack of self-control and an unhealthy sense of entitlement," writer Marc Shapiro said. "This issue can be seen as a tragedy in motion; it's last chapter has yet to be written." According to Shapiro, the 32-page book is not all about the salacious headlines, mug shots and outrageous behavior, but tries to examine the underlying causes of Lohan's inability to "straighten out her life." Are you reading this Lindsay Lohan? Bluewater Publishing has an offer for you. "If Lohan contacted us right now and wanted us to donate some of the potential profits to a charity of her choosing, we would happily do so," publisher Darren G. Davis said.

LOL. The only way Lindsay could get her own comic book is by her continued efforts to get more and more into legal trouble. Her life is a comic book. How else can you explain her inability to stay OUT of trouble? Her ass got sent to rehab for MONTHS and she couldn’t go a month out of rehab without getting her ass arrested again! If her life were a story, I would not believe that a character like her could be so reckless and dumb … but sometimes, life truly is stranger than fiction. I’m a fan of many of the other celebrity comic books but this is one that I might have to pass on. I’m curious to see how her many mug shots look in comic book form tho, to be honest … but I don’t need to own this book.

Eva Longoria & Eduardo Cruz Sneak Off To Mexico For A Lover’s Getaway

Last month we learned that newish lovebirds Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz were rumored to be moving in together … and while their shacking up has yet to be confirmed, we do know that the couple’s love affair is still going strong. Eva and Eduardo have made their way South of the border to enjoy a little lover’s getaway together. It really looks like these two are showing NO signs of slowing down.

After a busy few weeks promoting her new cook book, Eva Longoria has jetted off to Mexico for rest, relaxation and a little romance. The 36-year-old was spotted lounging by the pool at a luxury resort in Cabo with her toyboy, Eduardo Cruz, 26. The Desperate Housewives star put her petite figure on show in a green bikini while her boyfriend showed off his toned torso – and his many tattoos – in a pair of grey shorts. The actress began dating Eduardo, who is Penelope Cruz’s younger brother, in February and source say the relationship is going from strength to strength. ‘Things are getting very serious between Eva and Eduardo,’ a source tells America’s People magazine. ‘They’re really happy.’ And she has made no secret of her desire to start a family. ‘[I want to] have kids and be a mom,’ she said while promoting her book Eva’s Kitchen on the Rachael Ray Show earlier this month. Eva split from her husband of four years, Tony Parker, in November amid allegations he had been unfaithful. While she was heartbroken over the divorce, she insists she wishes the basketballer well. ‘So many people want me to hate him and destroy him, but I don’t want to,’ she has said. ‘I want him to be happy. He’s not a bad person. I do believe in forgiving and forgetting. There was a reason we were together. I just want to hold on to the good times.’

Awww … what a great attitude to have. To be honest, I’m not surprised to hear Eva say such nice things about her ex-husband … because I’m sure it is hard to be bitter and jaded when you’ve got yourself a hot younger man to keep you company ;) It’s clear that Eva and Eduardo really enjoy one another’s company so … here’s to a long and hopefully very happy life for them together :D Hang on to that stud, Eva … Eddie is a hottie.

Famed comic Martin Short paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to pay homage to the MTV series The Jersey Shore. Actually, it wasn’t so much a tribute as it was a hilariously skewering parody but … it’s kinda brilliant and is a deffo MUST SEE! Check out the very entertaining Jersey Short below.


On last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Martin Short debuted the trailer for his labor of love, Jersey Short, a cautionary tale of what happens when Snooki gets pregnant and delivers a pickle. He stars in every role. The best moment is Snooki's entrance.

LOL! I can’t even … this is just the best. Martin Short may be gettin’ on in years but he deffo still has the chops to bring the funny. I love everything about this clip. IMHO, MTV should ditch The Jersey Shore and give Martin Short his own show. Isn’t that a great idea?

Kylie Minogue Is Releasing A Digital EP In Honor Of Her North American Tour

Kylie Minogue will kick off the US portion of her North American Tour Aphrodite Live 2011 this Friday in Boston and the blog Shine On and On is reporting that Kylie is planning the release of a special digital EP in celebration of her new tour. The North American Bonus Tour EP will contain some previously unreleased live performances along with a short film of Kylie‘s tour life. What a great way to celebrate Kylie‘s new US tour!!

Greatest Expectations

Yesterday was a really fun day … David and I got to hang out with a couple of our dearest friends for dinner and then I got to hang out with my beloved Ollie later in the night … AND I got back into the habit of listening to my vinyl records so … as far as Mondays go, yesterday was too much fun!


Because of my recent travels, I’ve been separated far too much from my record player so yesterday I decided to make sure and spin some vinyl to get back into the swing of things. I recently found a great little bunch of 45″ singles including a blue vinyl version of Madonna‘s True Blue and the single Let’s Go Crazy by Prince. Crazy features the greatest Prince b-side of all time, Erotic City, so that is really why I had to have it. I then listened to my fave Ryan Adams album Rock N Roll. It was party city around here yesterday afternoon ;)

Then, David and I met up with Gillian and her hubby Tim to catch up and celebrate their PREGNANCY NEWS!!!!!! We hadn’t seen them since we heard their great news so it was imperative that we catch up and gush over her growing baby bump:


Gillian and Tim are two of our fave people … David and I were at their wedding and now we’re celebrating their first BABY!! So exciting. After dinner, I met up with Ollie for a hang session over margaritas in Hollywood. It was just a great day full of great people.

I’m having a hard time focusing today because I managed to score SWEET tickets to see Prince at the Forum on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He is in the midst of his 21 Night Stand residency and I am so excited to be attending shows #s 5, 6 and 7 :D Weeeee!! It is going to be the best week EVER!!!

Watch: The Cast Of ‘Glee’ Takes Times Square

Yesterday we saw a few photos of Glee stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith filming scenes on the NYC set of their show and today we get to see MORE pics from the Glee set in Times Square. This time, Lea is joined by her castmates Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Ashley Fink and Jenna Ushkowitz as they filmed a musical number on the big red steps right in the middle of Times Square. Unfortch, there is no music heard in the video below so we can’t be sure which song is being performed … but it really does look like the ladies had a blast filming this scene in NYC yesterday:


Members of the Glee cast have been popping up all over NYC so if you’re in Manhattan, keep an eye out. I can’t wait to see these scenes in their final produced form. The Glee characters really need to be in NYC so it’ll be fun to watch this ep. Don’t forget, the 90-minute Born This Way ep of Glee airs TONIGHT!

Megan Fox Has Her Marilyn Monroe Tattoo Removed

Megan Fox, who decided to famously publicly profess her undying love for Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe with a HUGE tattoo tribute on her inner arm, appears to have fallen out of love with Marilyn because she has started having the tattoo removed from her skin. Megan and her man Brian Austin Green made a red carpet appearance at a Jaguar event this week and showed off her disappearing Marilyn tattoo.

She’s one of Hollywood’s current leading ladies and a muse of Armani – and it seems that Megan Fox has decided that her numerous tattoos are no longer in keeping with her image. The 24-year-old brunette beauty appears to be in the process of having one of the most prominent inkings removed – a portrait of screen legend Marilyn Monroe on her right forearm. Some parts of the design appear to have disappeared already and all of it seems a lot fainter than normal. Former Transformers star Megan has eight or nine examples of body art as well as the doodling of her blonde bombshell idol, whose real name was Norma Jean, including a quote saying ‘we will all laugh at gilded butterflies’ on her shoulder and a tribal mark on her left wrist. She showed off the fainter design on her arm as she accompanied husband Brian Austin Green to a party celebrating Jaguar cars, and inparticular, the 50th Anniversary of the company’s E-Type at the IAC Building in New York City last week. Her body art has been previously covered up by stage make-up in a host of her movies and in some of her adverts.

And so … we must bid farewell to Marilyn Monroe, again. I’m actually surprised that Megan has made the decision to laser off this tattoo … it’s her most famous tat and considering how well her career has been with the tattoo, I figured she’d keep it forever. As I understand it, black ink is the easiest to have removed but it does take a few sessions to get all of the ink lasered off. While I am a fan of tattoos, I have to admit that this one is kinda big … so mebbe it’s for the best that it gets Peaced the Spork Out! What do y’all think … will you miss Megan‘s Marilyn Monroe tattoo?

Kristin Cavallari & Jay Cutler Are Gettin’ Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills alum Kristin Cavallari and NFL player Jay Cutler because according to a new report from People magazine, the couple have gotten themselves engaged to be married! My girl Kirstin has come a long way from her days with Stephen Coletti on Laguna Beach (and then her long relationship with Brody Jenner, who is know with Avril Lavigne) … apparently, she has finally found her Prince Charming in Jay!

Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari got one sweet surprise while on vacation in Mexico with her NFL beau Jay Cutler.

 A source close to the couple confirms to PEOPLE that Cutler proposed over the weekend during their getaway in Cabo San Lucas. “He surprised her with a quick trip to Cabo to ask her to marry him,” the source says. Cavallari, 24, who also appeared on The Hills, and Cutler, 27, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, have been dating since last fall. “I’m in love,” she told PEOPLE earlier this year, “and it’s been great.”

Aww … what great news. I have always loved Kristin, ever since her days on Laguna Beach … I’m so happy to see that she is so happy in love with Jay. They make a very handsome couple and I wish them nothing but the best! Let’s send all our love and our warmest congrats to the happy couple!

The First Photo From The Set Of ‘The Avengers’ Has Been Revealed

Last July, we got our first look at the principal cast of the big screen adaptation of The Avengers (which is being directed by geek god Joss Whedon) when they assembled at San Diego Comic Con and in August we got our first look at the official logo for the film. Just a couple of weeks ago, we learned from Avengers star Mark Ruffalo (who will play Bruce Banner/The Hulk) that he has begun pre-production work on the film and is planning to make his Hulk hairy. Today we get to see the FIRST PHOTO from the FIRST DAY of filming on The Avengers … and what a fun teaser photo it is.

Joss Whedon has spent one day shooting this little movie known as The Avengers, and right now all we have to see from it is this pic from the set. Apparently the actors have chairs that identify them not by name, but by character. (Just me, but I think they should have made Hulk's twice as big and kind of broken.) You know the players: Serenity and Buffy the Vampire Slayer geekdom cult-hero Whedon is directing from his own script, and Robert Downey Jr. reprises the role of Iron Man, with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Mark Ruffalo joining the Marvel universe as the human half of the Hulk. Marvel Studios confirms some other casting tidbits: Tom Hiddleston, who plays the villainous, trickster god Loki in Thor, is confirmed to join the cast, along with Stellan Skarsgard, who co-stars in Thor as Professor Eric Selvig, an astrophysicist researching the celestial link between the god-world of Asgard and Earth. Cobie Smulders, from TV's How I Met Your Mother, is another newcomer to the Marvel world, playing SHIELD agent Maria Hill, while Clark Gregg, the thread linking many of these movies, is once again playing Agent Phil Coulson. As previously reported, of course, The Hurt Locker's Jeremy Renner is in as the archer Hawkeye, and Scarlett Johansson returns as her Iron Man 2 character Black Widow, while Samuel L. Jackson, who kicked off the whole thing with that post-credits cameo in 2008′s Iron Man, is back as the man with a patch, SHIELD mastermind Nick Fury. The movie is currently shooting in Albuquerque, N.M., and will later move to Cleveland, Ohio … and New York City. The Avengers will be out May 4, 2012, though we'll be seeing a lot more about it between now and then.

And so … filming is now underway. Remember this day, y’all … cuz in the coming months we’re bound to be seeing photos of the cast on set, promo photos and teaser posters … video trailers and the like all leading up to the film’s release next year. I know it feels like a year is a long time to wait but these sorts of things tend to fly by very quickly. I am just so excited that Whedon will be behind the camera on this film. He is going to do a fantastic job, I just know it! I hope we get to see more teaser photos like this in the coming weeks. Now that I know that filming is underway, I’m TERRIBLY curious for any bit of info that becomes available.

Lollapalooza Announces The 2011 Line-Up

Lollapallooza, the 3-day music festival that takes place annually in Chicago, IL, announced its line-up for this Summer’s fest and it is chock full of THE most amazing musicians! Eminem is leading the pack of this year’s performers and he will be joined by Foo Fighters, Coldplay, The Cars, Arctic Monkeys and more! This year’s fest will mark the 20th anniversary of the creation of Lollapallooza. Back in 1991, Lolla was a traveling concert tour that took a select and diverse group of acts (including Nine Inch Nails, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and more) around the country. Altho the traveling incarnation of Lollapallooza turned out to be unsuccessful, the fest reinvented itself as a stationary 3-day festival that has enjoyed HUGE success since its inception. To be honest, altho I’m a HUGE music fan and a HUGE fan of live music … I’m not at all a multi-day music festival fan. The long days leading into long nights in the Summer heat, among the crush of huge crowds just does NOT sound fun to me. That being said … this year’s line-up is pretty damn fantastic and I might have to rethink my position. What do y’all think of this year’s Lollapalooza line-up? Are any of y’all planning to attend?

Mariah Carey Paints Her Baby Bump For Easter

Late last month, the very pregnant Mariah Carey showed off a photo of her baby bump that was all painted up in celebration of the coming birth of her twin children (who she affectionately refers to as dem babies). Yesterday, the even MORE pregnant Mimi showed off a new photo of her painted baby bump. In celebration of Easter, Mimi had her ginormous bump painted with a festive Easter egg … which she shared on her official Twitter profile for all to see.

HAPPY EASTER! Ummm.. READY!!!!!!!!!!!! Done and done.

You know, I was sure that Mariah Carey was gonna give birth to her twin babies by Easter weekend … but, clearly, she is STILL very much pregnant. It really does seem like Mimi has been pregnant for years now … but she must be very close to giving birth by now … right? I’m sure she is so ready to get dem babies out of her stomach but at least she keeps coming up with fun ways to celebrate her pregnancy, which prolly helps pass the time. It’s clear that her babies are already well-loved and adored … I’m sure it’s gonna be LOVE overload once they finally make their debut outside of her womb :)

FIRST LOOK: Lindsay Lohan Does ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ [UPDATE]

Lindsay Lohan, who went to court last Friday to begin proceedings leading up to the start of her theft case and got slapped with a 120-day jail sentence for probation violation (which she is now appealing), made a surprise visit to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno here in LA last night to give not only her first interview since being sentenced to jail time (again) but her first TV interview in ages! Because she recently nabbed a role in the Gotti biopic, she had something other than jail to talk about so the interview (which was taped yesterday and will air tonight) was kind of a win/win for both Lindsay and Leno.

Lindsay Lohan apparently received a standing ovation from the crowd after a candid interview on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. In an appearance filmed to air on the US talk show tonight the host asked the troubled actress about touchy subjects including her court appearance and brief jailing, her family and what she’s learned from her experiences. The Mean Girls actress is a late addition to the show, knocking a scheduled guest, Broadway and Glee star Kristin Chenoweth, to another date. Lilo apparently told Leno she found the sentence ‘shocking’ and said it her left her ‘kind of numb.’ Leno asked Lohan, ‘At what point did you realize, ‘Oh my God, I could lose this, this could slip away from me?” ‘I think that when, you know, being young and being in the position I was in, you don't really take the time to appreciate what you have and it's all kind of a whirlwind, and people make decisions for you,’ Lohan said. ‘But I'm not a kid anymore – I'm 24, I've made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that. I'm in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve.’ The 24-year-old also talked about playing the wife of John Gotti Jr. in the crime family movie, Gotti: Three Generations … The actress is currently on bail after spending five hours in the Lynwood Correctional Facility on Friday following the preliminary hearing into her alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace. Lohan will be appealing the sentence, although legal experts say it is unlikely she will win it. Producer Nathan Folks, a friend of Lindsay’s, told People.com that she is ‘upset’ over the 120 days jail she has been sentenced to. ‘She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around,’ Folks said, insisting Lohan is clean and sober. A Los Angeles judge sentenced Lindsay to 120 days for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace, a charge the judge reduced from felony grand theft to a misdemeanour.

HMMM … it sounds like Lindsay gave all the right answers to the softball questions thrown at her. It’s interesting that she acknowledges that she made “a lot of mistakes” but the real test of her character will be how she plans to PAY for those mistakes. The girl has professed how sorry she is for everything over and over and over … ad naseum … and, yet, she continues to get into trouble with the law. Could this be the turning point in her life that will set her on the straight and narrow? It’s possible … unlikely … but possible. And how, you may be asking, did Leno manage to score this interview with L. Lo when so many other talk shows wanted her too? Well, it turns out that Lindsay is the one that chose Leno … according to TMZ, she is “grateful” to the way he has treated her over the years so she wanted to repay with this interview:

Jay Leno won the battle for Lindsay Lohan because the actress feels “grateful” for the way he’s treated her over the years … Lohan pre-taped an episode of “The Tonight Show” yesterday … set to air tonight … and according to reports, she received a standing ovation when she walked on to the set. Sources connected to Lohan tell us Lohan has been receiving several offers to appear on several talk shows since she was sentenced to jail last week … but chose Leno because, “He has been nothing but good to her and her family over the years … and has always been protective of her.”

As far as PR moves go, this is a good one. I’m ALL for the reformed bad girl making good … but she needs to actually make good FIRST before she can be forgiven. She may be out on bail now but she will have to face that 120 day jail sentence for probation violation at some point … and then, of course, she has her upcoming trial for jewelry theft that she has to deal with as well. She may be saying she’s sorry on TV but until she pays for her crimes, she can’t really expect to be forgiven for the things she claims to be sorry for.
