Last night, Katharina Harf (above with Rihanna) hosted the 5th Annual DKMS  Gala: Linked Against Leukemia honoring Rihanna and Michael Clinton.  See Iman, Solange and Eva Mendes looking fabulous at the event inside.....

 

The gala was held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

 

 

Rihanna looked pretty great last night. Great to see her being honored for charity work.

The slit in the gown is fierce.

I like Solange rocking a natural.  She wears it well.  

 

The legendary Iman looked stunning.

BUSTED: Frankie Taken Down For Possessing Drug-Related Material And Violating Probation

Reality Tv star Frankie Lons was arrested yesterday after if was discovered that she had a warrant out for her arrest stemming from a probation violation. Deets inside.......

Yesterday, Frankie Lons was pulled over for a routine traffic violation but later arrested after cops found out she had an outstanding warrant stemming from a probation violation.  And oh......they also found drug-related material on her person.  SMH.

According to TMZ, Frankie was taken to jail where she was booked for misdemeanor possession of drug-related material and a probation violation.  As of now, she is still in custody.

So far.....Keyshia Cole and Neffe have remained silent.

Chris Brown has ventured from music to movies and now the superstar is set to appear on a new comedy show. The singer will appear on Fox's new series, "In The Flow with Affion Crockett". CB isn't the only celeb making an appearance on the show. Other scheduled guests include Snoop, Russell Simmons, and Michael Strahan. The show is a one hour sketch comedy series hosted by Affion Crockett and produced by Jamie Foxx. 

The show is set to premiere August 20 at 9 PM. Can't wait to see this one...

 

And Jennifer Hudson has opened up about how losing weight has changed her life and career.

 

 

Jennifer Hudson is getting a lot of attention since losing weight and she says she now realizes that her weight kept her from getting some roles.

In an interview with UK's Grazia magazine, J. Hud said,

 "In this slim world, I do realize I was being discriminated against. I’m offered more parts. There is much more excitement about me now".

Jennifer Hudson decided to drop the weight after giving birth to her son and for her role as Winnie Mandela in an upcoming film. J. Hud also said she never felt overweight. She says,

"I never thought I was overweight. I thought my old look was pretty normal...now, on this side, they treat you differently, the opportunities are different, my image is different.”


I guess we can expect to see the new, slim Jennifer Hudson in a lot of tv/movie roles coming up.

MARRIAGE FAB: Chris Bosh And Adrienne Williams Officially Hitched On April 9th

We told you previously about Adrienne Williams' week long bachelorette party and now we can report that she officially married NBA baller Chris Bosh on April 9.  Deets inside.....

Though he had denied a wedding took place during a previous NBA news conference, TMZ reported that Chris Bosh and Adrienne Williams filed an official marriage certificate that said the couple married on April 9.  

Whew....they kept that a secret for a long time in today's age of Twitter, Facebook, and cell phone cams.  Congrats to the newlyweds.

ROYAL NEWS: Kate Middleton Dons SARAH BURTON For ALEXANDER MCQUEEN For Royal Wedding!

We interrupt YBF news for a Royal break!  The Royal Wedding of the century is going down as we speak at the Westminster Abbey in London.  And Princess Catherine (Kate) Middleton--now the Duchess of Cambridge--just gave everyone a fashion eyegasm in a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown.

There's hardly any YBF faces on the Royal Wedding guest list of Kate & Prince William--but a bit of coverage for you fashion die-hards is indeed necessary for this occasion.

Her sister Pippa arrived this morning in a beautiful long cream gown to tend to her Lady in Waiting duties for Kate as she stepped out of the Rolls Royce Phantom.  Sarah Burton--designer for the house of late British designer Alexander McQueen--is the lucky designer to have her piece walk down the aisle of the Westminster Abbey.  Kate's shoes were also custom McQueen.

Kate's gown is ivory with a Grace Kellyesque long full skirt, and the top is a fitted bodice with long French Chantilly lace sleeves atop a semi-sweetheart neckline strapless bodice. The 'halo' tiara is pure diamonds and has been loaned to Kate by the Queen, who was given it by Cartier in the 1930's.  It was originally given to the Queen Mum by King George VI and presented to Queen Elizabeth when she was 18.

And speaking of diamonds, she rocked pear-shaped diamond earrings designed by Robinson Pelham.

Reportedly, the gown was made with Individual flowers hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle.  A modest train and cathedral length veil indeed work for the occasion.  And on her nails, she's reportedly wearing Essie's ALLURE.  Kate looks every bit the regal future Queen of England.   Gorgeous!

Vicki B. rocked one of her own autumn/winter creations in Navy, specially altered to take account of her baby bump.  Black sky-high pumps and a Philip Treacy hat topped off her Royal look.  While hubby David looked yummy as usual in a full Ralph Lauren suit.  Nice!

SIDENOTES: How hot is Kate's brother?! Wouldn't you be pissy if you scored an invite to the Royal Wedding--but had to sit behind one of these English women with an obnoxiously big hat blocking your view like you're back home at your own Baptist church??  Wouldn't you pay money to hear the smart ass comments the Queen is definitely making under her breath during the ceremony? And how much do we LOVE the fact William and Kate look genuinely and eeffortlessly fun and happy--not like most Royal couples?

Kelly Price has released the second single off her Kelly album and it's called "Not My Daddy."  The song features Stokley of Mint Condition and we have the video for you.  Watch the video inside and see Jill Scott's performance on "The Mo'Nique Show."

Nicki Minaj Delays Release Of The "SuperBass" Video, Lands Her ASSets In Vancouver

We told you previously that Nicki Minaj had tapped Ke$ha for the "SuperBass" (Remix) video, but now the "Your Love" rapper has announced she is postponing its release.  Get the deets inside and see her traveling in style at the airport....

 

Nicki Minaj tweeted yesterday that her music video will not make its debut on BET's '106 & Park' this week as originally scheduled. In her tweet she simply said, "Super Bass is no longer coming out tmrw." Hmm....maybe there was a problem with clearance issues.

Also, Nicki was spotted arriving to Vancouver International Airport earlier today.


 

Although it was raining, she still managed to look cute and stay dry.

Laz Alonso, Paula Patton and Angela Bassett were down in Texas recently with T.D. Jakes for the screening of Jumping The Broom in Dallas.  See the pics of the screening and photos from T.D. Jakes Easter brunch inside....

The movie's producers, T.D. Jakes, Tracey Edmonds and Curtis Wallace attended the red carpet screening.

Paula Patton brought along her hubby Robin Thicke.

Loretta Devine got glam for the event.

After the red-carpet screening at the NorthPark AMC Theatre, the celebs gathered the next day for  Sunday Easter service at Bishop Jakes’ The Potter’s House, followed by an ultra-exclusive soiree at a private location featuring a special performance by R&B artist, Ledisi.

Former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith came with his wife Patricia Southall and daughter Skylar.

Jumping the Broom star Gary Dourdain was there.  Are those rabbits in his lap?

TALK SHOW FAB: President Barack Obama & First Lady Michelle Obama Make Final "Oprah" Show Appearance

Barack and Michelle Obama flew to Chicago yesterday to tape what will be their last appearance on the "Oprah" Show.  Get the deets on what they talked about inside......

 

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and First Grandmother Marian Robinson were snapped exiting Air Force One in Chicago yesterday to tape an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey show.    

One of the first things he and Oprah talked about was the foolywang conversation that he was not an American citizen.

Oprah asked him, 'When it first came up, were you thinking, I hope I was born here?'

'Can I just say I was there, so I knew,' President Obama said. 'I knew I had been born. I remembered it.

President Obama continued by saying he had released his long-form birth certificate as a way of getting the country to focus on the issues again.

'Two weeks ago a huge debate was initated about where our budget needs to go.  During the course of this major debate where I gave a big speech and the Republicans voted on their proposal, the biggest news was this birth certificate thing.


'I said to my team, look, even though this is not usually what the state of Hawaii does...Even though the Republican governor of Hawaii, the Democratic governors of Hawaii, all the various officials had confirmed that I was born here, let's ask them for a special dispensation where they will go ahead and provide us with the original to see if we can put this to rest.


'We are living in a very serious time. And America has huge potential and opportunity to seize the 21st century. We're only gonna get there, though, if we have a serious conversation about the things that matter to people."

 

The taped interview will air on Monday, May 2.
