Katherine Jackson has reportedly taken up a new hobby - designing floral arrangements in honor of Mother's Day! According to sources, she has helped put together six different floral arrangements through a website called SendHerFlowers.com, which she and her family have been involved with for years - and have never used Michael's name or image to garner more business! We think this must be a very positive experience for her! Especially since it's all her, with no one else's name involved! Keep it up, gurl! Oklahoma State Legislator Makes Horrid Racist & Sexist Comments Posted: 28 Apr 2011 12:10 PM PDT We're shocked someone could even have these thoughts, much less express them in a public forum. Today, the Oklahoma House of Representatives approved a proposed constitutional amendment that would eliminate Affirmative Action in state government. Several state legislators were on hand to support the amendment, including Rep. Sally Kern of Oklahoma City. You remember Sally, don't you? No? Do the phrases "gay basher" and "hate monger" ring any bells? Well, she's living up to her long-standing reputation as the latter today as she made some horrendous comments to the press about the amendment passing. In her warped world view, Rep. Kern believes minorities earn less than white people because they don't work as hard and have less initiative, thus stripping them of the ease of Affirmative Action will make them proactive. Oh wait, it gets WORSE. She added: "We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that's tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don't want to study as hard in school? I've taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn't study hard because they said the government would take care of them." Or maybe they just didn't have a teacher who looked beyond the stereotypes and offered them real opportunities to excel and learn. Ever think about that, Sally? When one of those kids said that to you, did you turn around and offer them some guidance or did you just write them off??? We can only imagine! Oh, and ladies, don't think she has forgotten about you! She further added that women earn less than men because "they tend to spend more time at home with their families." How does their role as a mother and wife even remotely affect their role at their job? How is it any different than being a father and husband? And what about the single mothers out there? Do they work any less diligently because they have a family to feed? This is 2011, lady! There are more women than EVER who are the breadwinners in their households. Did you take that into account at all?! You disgust us. You're a narrow-minded, homophobic, sexist bigot and we feel sorry that the people of Oklahoma have you as a representative.

LiLo's Becoming A D.I.V.A. For Her Community Service Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:50 AM PDT Fairly soon, Lindsay Lohan will have to start in on her 360 hours of community service, the majority of which she will have to complete at the Downtown Women's Center in L.A. While she might not be looking forward to her shifts, the ladies of the center's theater workshop are simply elated that she's coming as they hope to have her contribute to their group! The workshop is called D.I.V.A.S - aka Dames Investing in Very Authentic Storytelling - and the group consists of 15 or so inspiring ladies who meet two hours a week and creatively express their recovery through writing and performing. Their hope is that Lindsay will be interested in joining their project and offer insight that only a Hollywood starlet like herself could provide. You should most definitely look into this, LiLo. It might help you really appreciate the career that you had have as well as expose you to people who've really had it much worse than you. We approve! [Image via WENN.]

Rejoice! The CW Renews Gossip Girl, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, And 90210! Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:40 AM PDT Not particularly surprising, but excellent news, either way! The CW announced yesterday that it would be renewing FOUR of its dramas, including Gossip Girl for a fifth season, The Vampire Diaries for its third, 90210 for a fourth season, and Supernatural for its seventh! Uh-oh! We guess that just because the majority of the One Tree Hill cast wants to come for another year, it doesn't mean it's going to! Whatevs! We're just glad that our Upper East Siders will be sticking around! Now if only Little J would stop touring get her shiz together and come back! Fingers crossed!

Plans Announced For Final Episodes Of Oprah!!! Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:30 AM PDT We'll be sad to see her go, but we're VERY excited for these final episodes! Oprah's company Harpo Prods. has announced plans for the last couple of eps of the show. According to a statement released by Harpo, the third-to-last and second-to-last episodes will be taped at the United Center in Chicago "to accommodate 'the biggest names in movie, music and TV.' " Here's what executive producer Sheri Salata had to say about Oprah's farewell: "As most of our viewers know, being surprised is not one of Oprah's favorite things. In the spirit of our farewell season, she is making a rare exception and we intend to make the most of the opportunity. It will be something to see!" The two-part celeb-filled episodes will air on May 23-24. The series finale airs on May 25. This is the way The Oprah Winfrey Show ends…and we fully approve! Way to go out with a bang! Ex-Menudo Member Robi Draco Rosa Diagnosed With Cancer Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:20 AM PDT So sad. Robi Draco Rosa, best known for his time spent with the latino boy band Menudo and his producing work with Ricky Martin, has been diagnosed with cancer. According to his manager, his doctors have discovered a cancerous tumor in the his abdomen near his liver and he is currently receiving treatment at a clinic in Houston, TX. Sheen Launches Sheen's Korner Fundraising! Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:10 AM PDT This is definitely a very nice thing to do, Charlie! The MaSheen has launched his new fundraising initiative, unsurprisingly named Sheen's Korner, which will help raise money for specific causes and people in need. It will be raising money through his show's merchandising sales, which will then be donated. The first cause is the Brian Stow Fund, which will be going towards his medical and family expenses. Brian Stow is in a coma, so this will definitely be a help: All the profits from his merchandising sales will be donated to the Brian Stow Fund, to benefit Stow's family and defray medical costs stemming from the vicious attack against Stow outside a San Francisco Giants baseball game last month. (He was beaten and put into a medical coma; doctors have said he's showing signs of brain damage.) Charlie, we're definitely liking the new charitable trend you're applying to yourself. Alice Ward, Portrayed by Melissa Leo In The Fighter, Has Passed Away Posted: 28 Apr 2011 10:40 AM PDT She may be gone, but she will certainly be remembered. Alice Ward, who was portrayed by Melissa Leo in The Fighter, has passed away at 79-years-old. According to family friend John Descoteaux, Alice died yesterday at a Boston hospital after being removed from life support. She had gone into cardiac arrest back in January, and ceased breathing for over 30 minutes. Our thoughts go out to Alice's family and friends during this difficult time. [Image via WENN.]
