WHAT'S BEEF: Tyler Perry Says ‘Spike Can Go Straight to Hell!’

Though he was dressed in a suit for the press conference, Tyler Perry's alter-ego "Madea" must have taken over recently when he put the verbal smack-down on -ish talking director Spike Lee. 

 

Fed up with negative comments about his films, Tyler popped off to the media saying, "Spike can go straight to hell!"  Deets and audio inside...

 

While Tyler Perry is out promoting Madea's Big Happy Family, someone made a comment about fellow director Spike Lee, and it set the director off.  You may recall that Spike has been known to make a few negative comments about the "quality" of Tyler's films and so far....Tyler has stayed about the fray.  But not anymore.  Tyler told media earlier this week:

“I’m so sick of hearing about damn Spike Lee.  Spike can go straight to hell!  I am sick of him talking about me.  I am sick of him saying, ‘This is a coon, this is a buffoon.’ I am sick of him talking about black people going to see movies. This is what he said: ‘You vote by what you see’ — as if black people don’t know what they want to see.

“I am sick of him. He talked about Whoopi, he talked about Oprah, he talked about me, he talked about Clint Eastwood. Spike needs to shut the hell up!”

“I don’t even understand it.  There [are] so many people who walk around, and this is where the whole Spike Lee [issue] comes from — the negativity, ‘This is Stepin Fetchit,’ ‘This is coonery,’ ‘This is buffoonery’ — and they try to get people to get on this bandwagon with them, to get this mob mentality to come against what I’m doing.”

 

Hmm....I think Tyler may have a point.  I imagine every celebrity could potentially make a negative comment about another (we all have our opinions), but is Spike feeding intot he inevitable act of media pitting successful black celebrities against each other?

 

Tyler made an interesting point at the same conference saying:

“What they don’t understand is this, and this is what I want to make perfectly clear to everybody, especially black people: I’ve never seen Jewish people attack Seinfeld and say, ‘This is a stereotype.’ I’ve never seen Italian people attack The Sopranos, I’ve never seen Jewish people complaining about Mrs. Doubtfire or Dustin Hoffman and what they were doing in Tootsie. I never saw it. It’s always black people, and this is something that I cannot undo.” 

Now this isn't completely true....as we have seen the Italian community attack MTV for the "Jersey Shore" and "The Sopranos," but I see his point.
 

Tyler makes positive (generally speaking) movies and employs MANY MANY black actors and actresses and others behind the scenes.  Do we we gain something culturally from publicly tearing him down?  Whether you think his movies are coon-ish or not, would you say on some level he is adding more to the culture that he's taking from it?  Speak on it.

Serena Williams and NY Jets baller Darrelle Revis celebrated with Range Rover yesterday.  At the Land Rover Celebrates The Range Rover Evoque" event at Highline Stages in NYC yesterday, the two sporty folks looked fab for the event.  Purple is so Serena's color.

Lil' Wayne has released the cover art for his next release Tha Carter IV and we have it for you inside.  Also, watch his latest video with Rick Ross....

 

Lil' Wayne is expected to drop his next album Tha Carter IV on June 14th and the cover art continues along the path of previous albums with a childhood photo of the rapper.  Oh the innocence....

 

And Weezy has released the first video off the album and it features Rick Ross.  The Colin Tilley directed clip shows Weezy rapping with his shirt off in a warehouse.  He is joined by Rick Ross (shirt on) and a video vixen (of course).  Standard rap video stuff.....but the track is hot.

PLAYOFF FAB: Miami HEAT Girlfriends & Co. Get WHITE Hot

As the Miami Heat battled the Philadelphia 76ers last night, their support team, Tameka Foster, Adrienne Williams (Chris Bosh's fiancee) and Savannah Brinson (LeBron James' girlfriend) hit the courtside for a fashion playoff of their own, dressed in white and cream.  See the pics inside....

 

All the Miami Heat fans wore white for the "White Out" game as their team beat the Philadelphia 76ers yesterday in Game 2.

Savannah wore a BCBG jacket Co-op Tank with Scoop jeans, a vintage necklace, Louboutin shoes and a Versace bag.  Very cute look.

And earlier yesterday, Dwyane Wade's girlfriend Gabrielle Union tweeted a photo of herself from a photoshoot she completed right before the game.  She's been tweeting about her rigid workouts a of late.  And it shows.  WORK.

Is Rihanna Recording A Track With Beyonce?!

Reports are surfacing that Rihanna and Beyonce will team up to record a track for Bey's next album that drops in June.  Hey....it worked for Monica and Brandy.  Deets inside.....

As her "S&M" (remix) with Britney Spears dominates the charts, Rihanna clearly knows the power of a good pop diva collaboration.  So it makes perfect sense that she is allegedly set to record a track with Beyonce for the "Crazy In Love" singer's next album.  After tweeting last week "ME TOO!!" after a fan told Rihanna they wanted a Bey/Rih collabo, it looks like some dreams may come true.

A source told M Is For Music,

"Rihanna has wanted to work with Beyonce for some time now and after talking about a duet at this year’s Grammys they have finally managed to set aside some time to record together.  The song will feature on Beyonce’s album and will be a number one smash hit for sure."

I'm sure the song would break records (and y'all ALREADY know why). 

Time will tell....

PREMIERE FAB: YBF Celebs Hit "Madea's Big Happy Family" Hollywood Premiere

The big Hollywood premiere of Madea's Big Happy Family went down last night at The Dome at Arclight Hollywood.  And despite director/producer/writer Tyler Perry sending out a letter to his mailing list saying people are trying to ruin his movie and bring him down, he seemed in good spirits with his cast.

 

Pics of stars Lauren London, Bow Wow, Teyana Taylor, KeKe Palmer and tons of others when you read on....

The movie's co-star Lauren London rocked a sexy nude woven strapless dress and her nude pumps for the big premiere.

Looking fabulous as always Ms. London.

Tyler Perry ran into another "Madea" in the audience:

Interesting jacket choice for Mr. Perry.

 

Well if you're gonna let "the girls" out...this is how you do it:

Teyana Taylor, who also has a role in the movie, got sexy on the carpet with a low cut basic black dress with a high slit.  She topped it off with that enviable curly hair and red pumps.  Nice.

Fab chick KeKe Palmer hit the carpet to support her celeb friends.  And she posed with Al B Sure and Kim Porter's son Quincy.  Hmmmm....I could so see them dating.

Absolutely LOVE this classic pant and blouse look.

She also kicked it with Ms. Teyana.  YBF chicks indeed.

Star of the movie, Bow Wow, hit the carpet in a nice casual look.

This dress is all kinds of right for Camille Winbush.  She's turned into such a grown and beautiful young lady.

Red was the color of night as model and ctrss Kenya Moore looked great on the carpet as well.

Actors Malik Yoba and Michael Jai White hit the purple carpet last night.

Actress Naturi Naughton rocked a bright aqua maxi dress.  Great color for her.

Oh...hey Quincy.

Actor Quinton Aaron hit the carpet with a "friend" in tow.  Literally.

Actor Richard T. Jones was there.

Comedian Rodney Perry--who stars in the movie and is also MoNique's co-host on her show--hit the carpet.

Tamala Jones looked pretty in lilac at the premiere.

Actress Kali Hawk rocked a cute tangerine dress for the occassion.  Pretty look for her.

Tyler and "The Browns" (David and Tamela Mann who have been married for 21 years in real life) kicked it on the carpet.

Cutie Tyler James Williams rocked a cute and preppy look.

"Young & The Restless" star Angel Conwell made a catty appearance.

Oh...hey Mario.

Actress Kim Whitley rocked her all black on the carpet.

And gotta end the post with some sexiness.  Lance Gross looked like a cup of spring hot chocolate on the carpet.  Nice.

Teyana Taylor hit the scene trying to be a singer back when she was 15 and landed herself a role on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16."  And a video of her showing off her modeling skills and singing audition style at that age just surfaced.

Halle Berry & Christina Milian Golf It Up + Other Ish

Halle Berry got her golf on yesterday afternoon in L.A. with Flex and Dennis Haysbert. But it was all for a good cause.

 

After receiving the Silver Rose award Sunday night, Halle hosted the 3rd anuual celebrity golf tournament at the Wishire Country Club. The event benefited Halle's pet charity--The Jenesse Center--which hosted its annual Silver Rose Gala over the weekend.  Pics of Halle, Christina Milian, and more tee'ing off when you read on...

Ms. Berry laughed it up with her celeb friends as they hit the 18 holes:

MAGAZINE FAB: Mariah Carey Reveals Baby Nursery In "Life & Style" Magazine

Mariah Carey offers her lambs a first look at her baby nursey in this week's Life & Style magazine (on stands Friday).  See the pic inside...

 

In this week's Life & Style Magazine, the "Butterfly" singer reveals the design of her baby nurseries (one in Bel-Air, Calif. and one in NYC).

But don't expect the normal pink and blue items most people would use for twins.  Mariah says she wanted to glam it up twin style, but she wants each child to grow up knowing they were individuals.

"Designing the LA nursery with Gail Sedigh of AFK Furniture and world-famous decorator Mario Buatta was so challenging because I had such specific ideas I wanted implemented. I feel like I'm bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink."

So what did Mimi come up with?  She decided on side-by-side cribs accented with pink and green bedding.  And the room is full of plush stuffed assorted animals and lambs (also the nickname for her fans).

 

 She added,

"I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies.  Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities."

 

LOVES IT.  And what will the babies see as the sleep the night away?  Mariah had a special landscape painted for the twins....

"The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It's based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: 'Underneath the Stars' and 'Close My Eyes.'  Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled."

And though she knows the job will be hard, Mimi is ready to become a mother.

"Being a mother is probably the hardest job in the world. I feel like, in a lot of ways, children come into the world to teach us.  It's going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded. One thing I'm sure of is that I'll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what."

PARISIAN LOVERS: Beyonce & Jay-Z Stroll The Champs-Élysées In Paris

It's the perfect Parisian paradise!  Beyonce & Jay-Z were spotted strolling the fabulous Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris today.  And we've got the pics of Beyonce decked out in floral and snakeskin, and Jay in his usual laid-back swag, when you read on....

The powerful husband and wife team were spotted hopping out the car to take a stroll along the Champs-Élysées today.

Beyonce went on a print bine in this a floral belly cut out spring dress and Snakeskin Louboutins and a hot snakeskin bag.

She looks great nonetheless.  Beyonce's new track "Girls (WHo Run The World)" --which reportedly being called a demo though--is lighting up the internet streets and radio waves.  All to mixed reviews.  Looks like she pleased about life these days though.  Who could blame her?

Lil' Kim recently completed a new photoshoot.  For what, who knows.  But we have the pics inside...

 

Lil' Kim pulled out the big blonde wig and blue contacts for a recent "glam" photoshoot:

She's rocking black and gold/yellow in a set that would make Wiz Khalifa proud.

 

Damn did Kimmy snatch some wigs from Beyonce wig crypt?  She looks very pretty though.

By the way, Lil' Kim will be in Miami this Saturday hosting a party at King Of Diamonds strip club if you have a few singles to drop.  Yes, we're serious.

B'BALL FAB: Swizz Beatz's "Go NY Go (Remix)" With Carmelo Anthony & Amar'e Stoudemire + Amar'e, Chris Bosh & DeSean Jackson's New NIKE AD

We told you previously that Swizz Beatz had remixed the New York Knicks theme song and we have the full video for you which stars Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire.  Watch the video inside and see the new NIKE ad for Foot Locker that features Amar'e, DeSean Jackson and Chris Bosh.

Also, Amar'e Stoudemire is one of the latest faces to represent for Foot Locker. He is joined by fellow ballers DeSean Jackson of the Philidelphia Eagles and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat in a NIKE/Footloacker ad which features music by The Cool Kids. 

The animated feature has some great graphics and features the stars in various settings like a bball court and other neighborhood landmarks like a bodega.
