Earlier today it was announced on BritneySpears.com that a remix of Britney‘s single Till The World Ends featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha would be released on Monday … but just moments ago, the full remix — titled Sicker Than the REMIX — leaked its way to the Internets. Day 1 of Lindsay Lohan‘s Felony Grand Theft drama is over and there is some good news and some bad news to report. Firstly, Lindsay‘s felony charge have been reduced to a misdemeanor charge … which means that even if she is found guilty of the theft, she cannot be sent to prison for the crime. BUT … here comes the bad news. The judge also ruled that Lindsay violated her probation when she was arrested for the necklace theft earlier this year … and IMMEDIATELY sentenced her to 120 days in jail! Lindsay was taken into custody after court adjourned so she could be booked, mug shot and then tossed behind bars.
The Good News: Lindsay Lohan just caught a MASSIVE break — her felony grand theft charge was just downgraded to a misdemeanor … Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled the offense, along with Lindsay’s record, did not support a felony charge. The judge noted Lindsay’s DUI conviction was 4 years ago. The judge denied Shawn Holley’s motion to dismiss the case outright.
After the charges were reduced, Lindsay — no doubt — was feeling like she got away with her crime … and then came …
The Bad News: Judge Stephanie Sautner just threw the book at Lindsay Lohan for her probation violation, sentencing her to 120 days in county jail!!! Lindsay has been remanded into custody and taken to the basement of the courthouse for booking. Lindsay’s lawyer has said she’ll appeal, which means Lindsay is entitled to post bail. Lohan was also ordered to complete 480 hours of community service — 360 of those hours must be performed at the Downtown Women’s Center, so Lindsay can see how needy women have to live. The remaining 120 hours will be served at the L.A. County morgue. Judge Sautner explained that Lindsay should have called the store and notified the owners about the necklace sooner. She waited several weeks and returned the necklace after finding out the cops were about to raid her house. Sautner seemed influenced by the surveillance video, which she saw for the first time in court today. Sautner agreed with Danette Meyers, who argued Lindsay used her friend Patrick as a decoy to distract the clerk.
So … yeah … good news/bad news depending on how YOU see things. IMHO, I don’t think the charges should’ve been reduced because no matter what the necklace is actually worth, it was priced at $2,500. and that’s the necklace/price Lindsay allegedly stole. It was a pretty good foregone conclusion that she would be ruled in violation of her probation … but I don’t think anyone thought she’d go to jail today. It was assumed she’d be sentenced after her trial is finished. OH YEAH … the trial! Just because the charges have been reduced does NOT mean the case is over. Lindsay will go on trial for misdemeanor theft in June. So … jail tonight, trial to come … I guess today turned out NOT to be a very good Friday for Lindsay after all :/
Back in February we got to see an adorable Volkswagen commercial that debuted during the Super Bowl that featured a little Darth Vader running around his house using “the force”. Today we get to see a new commercial from Marvel Comics that features a cute little Thor running around his house using his magic hammer. Ever since little Zachary arrived nearly four months ago the world has been watching how Sir Elton John would take to parenthood. And for the first time we can see touching video footage of how the 64-year-old singer songwriter interacts with his little bundle of joy. In a clip taken from his first major television interview with U.S. TV legend Barbara Walters which airs in America tonight, we see Elton wind Zachary and sing him an impromptu lullaby. The 68-year-old singer is wearing his dressing gown as rubs his sons back and burps him before bouncing him gently and singing a song. Elton says: 'Oh you got windy pops oh there's a good one there's a little burp. Good one.' He then gushes over his little bundle and gives him a tender kiss before breaking into song. The singer, who is seen wearing a pair of rose-tinted glasses, croons to Zachary: 'I love my little boy he's my little pride and joy he's the gorgeous little babba in the world.' The clip was posted to the ABC website taken from the chat the 81-year-old U.S. presenter, which will air in full tonight. Elton is to detail why he and partner David Furnish wanted a child, how they kept him a secret until after he was born, and how fatherhood has changed them. Elton, 64, will be joined by David also dressed in a dressing gown, 48, and viewers will also get to see more Zachary.

OMG … so cute! This is an ep of 20/20 that I can’t miss … I need to see this little boy in action. It’s obvious his fathers are very much in love with their son … it’s really cute to see. These clips are adorable, I can’t wait to see the interview in full.
David’s and my time in NYC has come to an end and we have already made our way North to his parent’s home in Connecticut. Yesterday was pretty much a work day that turned into a travel day. Yesterday afternoon, we boarded an Amtrak train and made our way to David’s home state for the Easter weekend. It wasn’t an eventful trip … but because I rarely get to ride trains, it was a blast for me.
David’s family celebrates Passover the same weekend that they celebrate Easter … so we’ll be having Seder Dinner tomorrow night and then we’ll be dying Easter eggs Sunday morning … before we pack up and fly back home to SoCal. Because we’re out in the boondocks right now, I don’t expect we’ll get into anything too exciting … but, let me tell you, it’s nice to spend a couple days in the country away from the franticness of the city. I hope all y’all are having a nice Good Friday today … and will have a Happy Easter weekend ahead!!

I understand that Lindsay‘s defense will do everything possible to get the charges brought against her lessened … so my guess is that that will be their first stage of attack. It’s pretty remarkable that Lindsay has managed to not only stay out of trouble in recent months but she even got herself a job! If she is unsuccessful in this trial, all of that “good work” will be for naught so … we’ll have to see if she can get herself out of this mess and stay out of prison. This trial shouldn’t last too long … we should know fairly soon if Lindsay will pay for this alleged crime … or if she will get off scot-free … again.

Have you auditioned any of the others besides Britney? No, I mean, Britney was several years ago, for another movie.
It wasn't for The Fighter. [Laughs.] No. She could have played one of the sisters when she was in her rough period, but not now.
Did you go to any of Britney's concerts? I went to the Circus concert.
Was it good? Yeah. I think she's a great entertainer.
Do you have her latest album? You're just getting me more and more in trouble. Yes, I do. It's on my iTunes. Yeah, I'm rooting for her.
Favorite song from her album? Um, is Femme Fatale the title track or is that the name of the album? There are a couple of good tracks; I can't remember their names, there's a couple of tracks. I also love Rihanna. I would work with Rihanna in a second. I think Rihanna was hilarious on Saturday Night Live, and I also have Rihanna's album. And I like Rihanna's work with Kanye. Maybe we need to add them to that movie. [Laughs.]
Wow. This is very unexpected. At first I couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not … but as he continued to answer, it really became clear that he is a Britney fan. I love that he, like so many people out there, is “rooting for her”. I honestly cannot imagine a project where David O. Russell and Britney Spears might collaborate … but stranger things have happened. Altho I’m not really holding my breath for any such collaboration to ever take place, I am really hoping that Russell does end up working with Britney in some capacity. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
The Jason Bourne film franchise will live on with a NEW Bourne character that will be introduced in a new film titled The Bourne Legacy … a character that will be played by Academy Award-nominated actor Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town). There has been much talk in recent months about getting Matt Damon to reprise the role of Jason Bourne for a new series of films but, apparently, that plan fell by the wayside. The franchise will be rebooted with a new character and a new lead actor in Renner. Read below for the known deets about this new Bourne franchise.
The search is over. Universal Pictures has formally offered Jeremy Renner the lead role in the Tony Gilroy-directed The Bourne Legacy. Renner, who has been nominated for Oscars the past two years for his work in The Hurt Locker and The Town, is expected to sign on quickly to play a new character in the spinoff film that begins production in September. Like the Jason Bourne character played by Matt Damon in the first three The Bourne Identity thrillers, Renner will play an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne. Renner was one of the names rumored as the studio went through two cycles of tests over eight weeks to find the right guy. That decision was made [Thursday]. Even though Renner plays an operative in the upcoming Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol, the studio felt clearly that he was in a position similar to where Damon was when his career took off with Bourne. Renner is not a kid, but he is really hitting his stride and poised to become a big star after numerous strong performances.
Brilliant … perfect casting. As much as I love the Jason Bourne films, starring Matt Damon, I think Jeremy Renner will make an EXCELLENT replacement. I absolutely agree with producers that Renner is hitting his stride in Hollywood and this is the perfect vehicle for him to break out even more. He will be featured in the upcoming superhero film The Avengers (as Hawkeye) and, as mentioned above, alongside Tom Cruise in the new Mission: Impossible sequel so he is deffo in a great place professionally. With Jeremy Renner on board, I am now very much looking forward to a new generation of Bourne films … are you?
On breast pumps: "Yeah, the thing’s upsetting. I would try to pump milk while watching Entourage on demand. And that was the worst possible way to do it. Like, I had the pump on, and I’d hear Turtle on TV: Yo, E, you ever fuck a girl when she has her period? I just sat there thinking: Oooh, this is not how this is meant to be."
On whether or not she thinks Liz Lemon is ugly: "It’s never that she’s ugly—I mean, she is sometimes slovenly. But for me, it’s always been kind of the opposite of what people have said about her. It’s about how other men see her, and has nothing to do with how she really is. When Jack is like, “Ugh, you’re a mess,” it’s because of what his brain wants a woman to be. It has nothing to do with the physical symmetry of her size or anything. So no, she’s not ugly. She’s kind of sloppy. But all the clothes that Liz Lemon wears are much nicer than what I would wear on a writing-hiatus week."
On lady blogs exploding after the episode with the Liz-hires-a-feminist-comic thing, (in reference to Olivia Munn being hired by the Daily Show): "I was actually really pleased that Jezebel got that it was about the whole Olivia thing, because the treatment of Olivia was weird on that site. She just kept getting reamed! And it was this weird mix. They would go after her, and then the next thing would be like, “Defending the Rights of Sex Workers.” And I was just like, “Well, why can’t we just say Olivia’s a sex worker? Leave her alone!”
Tina Fey is just awesome. It is SO refreshing to have an intelligent and extremely witty voice like Tina‘s in the world of Entertainment these days. She is someone that EVERYONE can look up to. She really has it all — earned from hard work and determination — and she always sounds appreciative for the life she enjoys. Tina just rules, period.
Perhaps in an effort to celebrate her new acting gig in the upcoming Gotti biopic or maybe to take her mind off the fact that she has to be in court today to answer to Felony Grand Theft charges but Lindsay Lohan and her younger siblings — Michael Lohan, Jr. and Aliana Ali Lohan — made their way to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA yesterday to ride some roller coasters and enjoy a bit of family time together. My fave photo is the one where Lindsay and Ali are trying to hide their faces from the photogs. It’s silly enough to think that Lindsay doesn’t really love the attention but it’s absolutely ridiculous that Ali thinks the photogs are seriously trying to get pictures of her. Silly, silly. That being said, Magic Mountain is a pretty kickass amusement park with some really fun roller coaster rides so I can appreciate that the Lohan kids wanted to partake in the fun together. It’s a shame that the littlest Lohan, Cody, wasn’t included. But, as I mentioned above, yesterday’s fun is over … and today Lindsay will haul her cookies into court to begin her trial for Felony Grand Theft. At this point, anything could happen … ranging from a conviction and prison sentence to dismissed charges and no punishment at all. I guess we’ll have to wait with bated breath to find out what will happen. Day 1 of her trial will begin later today.
We are now just one week away from the Royal Wedding of Prince William of Wales to his ladylove Kate Middleton and today we learn that his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, II — the ruling monarch of the United Kingdom, has formally given her consent for the prince to marry his fiancée. Because of the nature of royal protocol, the Queen must formally give her stamp of approval for the royal wedding to take place … so in a very official way, Queen Elizabeth signed a fancy document “in her own hand” so that the Royal Wedding can take place next weekend. The Queen’s historic formal consent to Prince William’s forthcoming marriage to Kate Middleton was unveiled today. Under the Great Seal of the Realm, she signed an elaborate notice of approval which proclaimed, in transcribed calligraphy, consent to the union of ‘Our Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales, K.G. and Our Trusty and Well-beloved Catherine Elizabeth Middleton’. Tied to the bottom of the approval by gold braiding is a large red wax Great Seal of the Realm. William had to ask his grandmother’s consent to marry because of a law dating from the 18th century. Under the Royal Marriages Act 1772, all descendants of George II must obtain the sovereign’s agreement before they wed, otherwise the marriage is invalid. The ‘Instrument of Consent’ features decorative artwork chosen by the artist to represent the groom and bride-to-be. There is a gold cipher of the couple’s entwined initials beneath the prince’s coronet, but St James’s Palace said this was not the couple’s official symbol. A white lily represents St Catherine of Siena, whose feast day falls on April 29th and with whom Miss Middleton shares her name. Beneath it is a Welsh leek surrounded by William’s white three-pronged second in line to the throne label and a tiny red escallop from the Spencer family Arms. There is also a red dragon – the heraldic symbol of Wales, the UK’s floral emblems – the rose, thistle and shamrock – and the Garter belt, William’s blue and gold Order of the Garter belt, as well as a large gold E for Elizabeth. The Queen’s signature ‘Elizabeth R’ can be seen at the top right of the Instrument of Consent, which is dated ‘the ninth day of February Two Thousand and Eleven in the Sixtieth year of Our Reign’. It was signed ‘by the Queen herself, signed with her own hand’ at a Privy Council meeting after the monarch made a formal Declaration of Consent. It reads: ‘NOW KNOW YE that We have consented and do by these Presents signify Our Consent to the contracting of Matrimony between Our Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales K.G. and Our Trusty and Well-beloved Catherine Elizabeth Middleton.’
OMG … this is SO cool! While some are getting annoyed with the attention being given to this Royal Wedding, I am eating up every bit of info that we get. This document is straight out of fairytales, complete with the red seal and everything. I know it must seem really silly to many people in this modern age for such pomp and circumstance to surround something as simple as a wedding but I think it’s totally cool. Prince William‘s wedding to Kate next week is going to be a huge spectacle … one that I can’t wait to bear witness to. We are in the home stretch now … very soon we’ll be toasting and celebrating their royal highnesses MR. and MRS. Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales :)
