A Pokémon League Of My Own

Yes, I spent another few hours playing Pokémon SoulSilver but I was so close to finishing the game that I simply had to get ‘er done. After I downloaded the Special Events Mew that is available now until October 30 via the Nintendo Wifi Connection part of the game, I leveled it up from 5 to 40 and then took on the Elite Four and Big Boss Lance to become Johto League Champion of the game:


And as soon as I finished and was crowned champion, a whole new batch of 8 Gym Leaders popped up for me to take on in the Kanto Region of the game:


Which means I have a whole LOT more of the game to get thru before I really finish Pokémon SoulSilver. I’m pretty sure these video game updates are gettin’ kinda old for some of y’all but I had to see the game thru to the end! And now, I’m halfway there ;)

After playing Pokémon last night, David and I made the trek down to Manhattan Beach to hang out with Josh and Emma for a bit. We drank and snacked and just hung out, ’twas fun.

Tonight, I’ll be making my way to the Greek Theater to do red carpet and attend the 2010 Spike Scream Awards. It’ll be my first time attending the show so I’m excited. Happy Saturday!

Dina Lohan Reportedly Shopping An Interview About Lindsay In Rehab

On Thursday we learned of a report that made the claim that Dina Lohan, mother of the currently rehabbing Lindsay Lohan, was trying to sell a reality TV show about her daughter’s rehabilitation at the Betty Ford Center. Dina categorically denied that she was trying to sell a reality TV show. Today we learn that Dina isn’t actually trying to shop a TV show, she is actually trying to shop her first interview with the media about her daughter’s rehabilitation … and she’s reportedly asking for five figures:

TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan’s sainted mother Dina is shopping around an interview for after she visits Lindsay in rehab this weekend … and the asking price is in the five figures. We’re told Dina is trying to set up a deal that would include allowing cameras to film her as she went to the Betty Ford Center this weekend. Some reports have suggested that Dina is pitching a reality show based on the ordeal, but we’re told that’s not true. Our sources say Dina is asking “in the high five figures” for the interview. We’re told none of the proceeds will go to charity.

Yeah, even tho I wouldn’t put it past Dina Lohan to try and sell a TV show about her daughter’s rehab struggles, I wasn’t completely convinced that that was her plan. The woman may be fame and money-hungry but she’s not a total moron. The idea of selling a single interview, tho, makes a lot more sense. Dina can deny that she is trying to sell the interview but I am 1000% convinced that she WILL give an interview about her visit with Lindsay in rehab this weekend and whether she admits it or not, I’m pretty certain she will be paid for the interview. As for ex-hubby Michael Lohan, well, since no one will pay him a penny for an interview about anything … I think he’ll still be trying to worm his way into the Betty Ford Center to try and get a glimpse of his daughter … which he will prolly photograph and then try to sell. With parents like these, Lindsay Lohan is just doomed.

Even More Unreleased Photos Of Michael Jackson For Sale

Auction house Pierre Bergé & Associés will be orchestrating the sale of never-before-seen, previously unreleased photographs of Michael Jackson, shot by Arno Bani, in mid-December and today we get to see another new photo from the exclusive batch of photos being offered for sale at auction. Back in June, we got to see the photo that was originally supposed to be the album coverphoto for MJ‘s album Invincible. Just last week we got to see a photo of MJ that is titled The Sphinx. Today, we get our first look at the MJ photo titled La Main d’argent (The Silver Hand). Additionally, we get to read excerpts from an interview with Bani who sheds some light on these photos going up for auction and shares the experience he had working with the late Michael Jackson:

Michael Jackson moonwalked to Mozart's “Requiem” as Arno Bani's shutter clicked. Sometimes pensive, sometimes smiling serenely, the King of Pop opened himself to the young French photographer. Bani even took the liberty of having Jackson's hair cut short because he “liked him that way.” Afterward, Jackson let it grow back out. “He really didn't like his own face,” Bani said. “With longer hair, he could hide it.” Eleven years since the intimate session, one of the few artistic collaborations ever initiated by the singer, four striking series of photographs will go on the auction block in Paris on December 13. “We were like two boys playing on the floor, putting puzzles together,” said Bani, greeting ARTINFO France in his northern Paris apartment for a talk about the never-before-seen photographs that are today unveiled to the world. “I was a kid then, but he was ten times the kid I was. I would bring glitter pots and he would stick his finger in them and watch how it sparkled. We would spread it everywhere. The fashion design folders were like toy catalogs to him.” He added, “Michael Jackson wasn't just asking me to take pictures. He wanted me to build him a look for the next ten years.” Surrounding the pair was Jackson's entourage of artistic directors, clutching notepads, scribbling down whether the King of Pop liked the blue glitter better than the red. “It was the world in which he lived,” Bani said, “like seeing him in his little golden prison, discovering. He was extremely curious and cultured, but always humble, respectful, and kind. He would jump on the couch and clap when he fell in love with a new detail. He would give me hugs and bow with his hands together, Japanese-style. I had to ask him to stop thanking me, but I was really very touched.” The project came about by chance. Michael Jackson had spotted a fashion shot by Bani on the cover of the Sunday Times style section and immediately decided that he wanted to work with the young photographer. At first, Bani thought someone was prank calling him, before his lawyer friend confirmed that the King of Pop was inviting him for an audience. Bani would make six return trips to New York ahead of the three-day shoot.

The interview with Arno Bani continues HERE. It is a fascinating read if you are interested in these previously unseen photographs and want to know about them. I must admit, I’m curiously interested in these photographs particularly because they were taken 10 years ago and then were locked away in a vault so that they would remain completely uncirculated and unseen. It is my understanding that MJ was trying to forge a future image of himself that he have waiting for him in 10 years time … it’s a shame he didn’t live long enough to see the photos released. Of the photos we’ve seen thus far (HERE and HERE), I think this one is my fave of the bunch. I know there are many, many more photographs yet to be seen … photographs that will be sold to the highest bidder come December 13.

Christina Aguilera Makes Her Way To Hawaii

On Tuesday, it was reported that Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman were dunzo … On Thursday, Xtina filed for divorce from Jordy — making the dunzoness officially official. Shortly thereafter, Xtina boarded a plan and flew her ass to Hawaii to escape all the break-up drama here on the main land so that she would attend an event opening for the Waikiki Edition Hotel in Honolulu, HI last night:

Just days after announcing she’s split with her husband, Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera has jetted off to Hawaii for the opening of the ultra luxurious and private Edition Hotel, Ian Schrager’s new Waikiki-based hotel in collaboration with Marriott. “She wanted to get away,” a source tells Life & Style. “Christina landed late last night and is traveling with her producer, Tricky Stewart,” says the source. “She has a packed weekend ahead of her, including yoga, surfing lessons, hikes, lunches, VIP dinners and cocktail parties.” The pop singer left for the sunny paradise hours after she filed for divorce from Jordan. She was last seen in public taking, Max, her son with Jordan, pumpkin-picking in West Hollywood on Oct. 14.

It sounds like Xtina made her way to Hawaii just hours after she and son Max Liron paid a very public visit to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA on Thursday morning (the same day that she filed for divorce). It looks like Xtina plans to stay as active as possible until the divorce biz cools down. In Hawaii, she can escape all the drama and can enjoy the relative peace and quiet that she couldn’t enjoy here in SoCal. It’s unclear how long Xtina plays to stay away but I wouldn’t’ count on her getting back to LA for a few days.
