Breezy ‘Will Always Love’ Rihanna. She’s ‘F*cking Annoyed.’ Posted: 29 Nov 2010 05:53 AM PST After finding out that Rihanna has once again used an interview to remind the world how much she hates talking about him, Chris Brown took to Twitter, of course, to let the world know about his unwavering love. Of course, Chris has since deleted his little bleeding heart tweet. But not before the it was retweeted by Rihanna stans, and favorited by him. You can imagine #TeamBreezy went nuts, starting a little war of words between with Rihanna fans. Which didn’t end until Chris and his momma got involved. But the Browns weren’t the only ones speaking to their fans about “The Incident” and the need to let it go yesterday. One of Rihanna’s fans managed to get her to talk about how much she hates talking about it again on Twitter. Can some another celebrity couple create a scandal to dead this already? Without anyone going to jail??

Remember Me??? Montell Jordan Decides To Trade In His Music Career To Get It Crunk For Christ Posted: 29 Nov 2010 05:34 AM PST Good for him: While people were stuffing themselves with turkey and dressing over Thanksgiving, Montell Jordan was coming to peace with a major career change. For more than a decade he’s been known as the backwards-hat wearing hip hop artist behind the Grammy-nominated, mega-hit “This is How We Do It”. All that will change after his final concert New Year’s Eve. After that, Jordan says he will only step foot on one stage, the dais of World Victory Church in Norcross. “It’s just been an amazing career. And it has been great,” Jordan said, returning from a three-city swing, one of hihis last. “But it’s a calling that’s probably been with me all my life since I was a child. And I’ve known it. A lot of people in the business know it and have the same calling but that leap of faith is difficult.” The day before Thanksgiving, Jordan broke the news through a litany of tweets on his Twitter account. “The teaching at that church is very strong and it’s very real. It’s a practical, multi-cultural church, multi generational,” Jordan said. “You’re there worshipping with different people of different nationalities different ages and that’s my idea of what heaven really looks like.” Jordan says he has no problem borrowing from his charisma and fame as a singer to help bring more people into the faith. “I’ve travelled all over the world and I know there are a lot of people out there who are hungry for God and I think I have an opportunity not just to reach people who know God and also people who don’t know God.” Jordan has yet announce a location for his final concert. Hopefully he won’t turned out like Pastor Mason Betha and end up on G-Unit or something 3 years from now. Source

Football Suicide??? Man Seen Jumping Off Soldier Field Ledge Dies From Injuries Posted: 29 Nov 2010 05:16 AM PST Police are still investigating the death of a 23-year-old man following his fall at Soldier Field in Chicago yesterday during the Bears vs. Eagle game. But, let the witnesses tell it, this might not have been an accident. A man died Sunday afternoon after he fell out of Soldier Field and landed on a rooftop on the west side of the stadium, officials said. The incident happened about 4:55 p.m. as the Bears and the Eagles were playing, according to Chicago police and fire department officials. Stewart Haverty, 23, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 5:24 p.m. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not know Haverty’s hometown. The victim fell about 20 feet and landed on a small rooftop on the west side of the stadium near Lake Shore Drive, fire spokesman Joe Roccasalva said. Haverty was taken in critical condition to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, officials said. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The fire department needed an aerial tower with a basket to get him down, Roccasalva said. Witnesses told emergency personnel that they saw the man run up to the ledge and jump. So sad. We hope his family gets some answers. By the way, that makes two random falls and the loss of two young lives at a sporting arena. We’re waiting for the modifications to buildings and/or the access fans have to these ledges. Source

One Out Of Three Men In South Africa Is An Admitted Rapist. Could The Same Thing Happen In The U.S.??? Posted: 28 Nov 2010 01:25 PM PST Some statistics are just sad beyond words. A study commissioned by the Medical Research Foundation, a group funded by the South African government, has wielded some disturbing findings about violence against women. According to the study, more than 1-in-3 men of Johannesburg have committed rape at some point in their lives. Roughly seven percent of the men sampled admitted to participating in a gang rape. The study also found that over 51 percent of the 511 women surveyed had been victims of violence from men. Also, 78 percent of men admitted to committing a violent act against a woman. One fourth of the women in the survey said that they’d been raped, but only about four percent of these rapes are reported to police. These findings are similar to a 2008 study that found that 28 percent of the men in Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces had committed rape against a woman or girl. Also, one-third of the men said they did not feel guilty for what they’d done. Two-thirds of the men claimed to have committed rape out of a sense of entitlement, and others raped out of boredom or a desire to punish women who’d rejected them. The study’s author, Rachel Jewkes, said that apartheid may have played a role in creating a culture in which violence against women has been trivialized. “Apartheid has contributed to culture of impunity surrounding rape in South Africa,” said Jewkes. She also says that men who experienced trauma or were abused were much more likely to commit rape than other men. If racism is partly to blame for these statistics, could the same thing happen here in the U.S.? Source

Alicia Keys Talks Celebs Into Boycotting Facebook & Twitter For The Greater Good Posted: 28 Nov 2010 12:23 PM PST She might still be on maternity leave, but Alicia Keys is already back to her karma-balancing, do-gooder ways. And of course charity’s always more fun when other rich people get involved. [Lady] Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Usher and other celebrities have joined a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice on behalf of Keys’ charity, Keep a Child Alive. The entertainers plan to sign off of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday, which is World AIDS Day. The participants will sign back on when the charity raises $1 million. “It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” Keys said in a phone interview from New York last week. For the campaign – which also includes Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae and Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz – celebrities have filmed “last tweet and testament” videos and will appear in ads showing them lying in coffins to represent what the campaign calls their digital deaths. “It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up,” Keys said. “It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that.” The campaign, she said, puts the disease in perspective. “This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention,” said Keys, who has more than 2.6 million followers on Twitter. The foundation, which began in 2003, will accept donations through text messages and bar-code technology, which is featured in the charity’s Buy Life campaign. Raised efforts support families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. “We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?” said Leigh Blake, the president and co-founder of Keep a Child Alive. “It’s about love and respect and human dignity,” she added. Of course Kimmy Cakes is the first to leak her ad… Source
