Kanye West's Secret NYC Show + Willow Smith's "Stylist" Accused Of Ripping Off Designer

Kanye celebrated the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy with a secret NYC concert yesterday. We've got the deets and pics when you read on...

 

 

Ye' took the stage right after midnight at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan. He performed the CD's intro 'Dark Fantasy' with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Teyana Taylor, who sang the chorus. Kanye went through several songs off the album including, 'Gorgeous', 'Power', and 'All of the Lights.' 

Nicki Minaj joined Yeezy on the stage to perform 'Monster', although Jay-z didn't show. Rick Ross joined Kanye to perform 'Devil In A New Dress' and Pusha T hit the stage for 'Runaway'. Some celebs in the audience included Diddy, Selita Ebanks, and Lyor Cohen.

Kanye performed for over an hour and then talked to the audience. The Chicago rapper said,

"As you know, it's been an extremely hard year for me," he began. "But getting back to music, G.O.O.D. Fridays, and the album ... I never thought I'd say this, I wanna thank the magazines for perfect scores across the board. I always felt like I could do anything."

"To do 100,000 digitally," Ye continued,  "And slated to do 600,000 the first week. I'm not here to do mother----ing politics. I'm here to make music. I'm not here to talk in no interviews; no one ask me any stupid f---ing questions."

SMH.  That's our Kanye.

 

On a fashion note, whomever styled Willow Smith for the 2010 AMAs is accused of stealing...the design that is.  Willow wore a funky yellow harness that Mother of London designer Mildred Von Hildegard says is a rip off of her original idea.  She spoke to website Haute Macabre saying:

"I'm disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business. My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else's work, and it's very hurtful on both...personal and professional levels. I hope this can be resolved, and I wish nothing but the best to Willow."

So who ripped off Mildred?  No one seems to know because Willow worked with a new stylist that night and no one is fessing up.  According to Mariel Haenn, Willow's sometimes-stylist, she tweeted,

"Just an fyi, we only dressed Rihanna last nite. I don't like when people try to credit me for work that's not mine." 

She then emailed COILHOUSE Magazine:

"To be honest I have no idea who 'styled' her or the designer. Wish I did. I don't ask my clients who they used when I'm not available."

MAGAZINE FAB: Kanye West Interviews Rihanna For "INTERVIEW" Magazine

Though they have collaborated on a number of projects, when Kanye West sat down to interview Rihanna for INTERVIEW Magazine, it proved they don't have much in common at all.  See highlights from the weird interview plus what Rihanna has to say about her "future" daughter inside...

 

We all love/hate Kanye, the"artist, because he is so "different" and now we know Kanye, the interviewer, is also on another level.  When he interviewed Rihanna, it seemed as though they were having two different conversations as he was on one level...and she on another.  She barely seem to understand what he was asking her and sometimes even she was confused by the questions.  See the highlights and pics below...

Kanye: How did you get signed?


Rihanna: Well, I met Evan [Rogers] and Carl [Sturken], these two producers who live here in New York. They are both married to Barbadian women, so they go there to vacation all the time. My friend introduced me to them, and I sang for them, and we talked, and they had me and my mom come back a couple of days later. After that, we started traveling to New York, working on a demo. Within a year, it was done, and we sent it out. Def Jam was the first label to call back. We got other calls, but they were the most enthusiastic. It was so nerve-wracking, though, the whole experience.

Kanye: Why?

Rihanna: I mean, I was 16. From Barbados. Like, you would never … the chances of ever meeting somebody famous or ever being signed — that was just a deadly combination. Like, I had to meet Jay-Z and audition for him at the same time.

Kanye: Do you know any famous people now?

Rihanna: Huh?

My thoughts exactly Rihanna.  Of course she knows famous people. 

 

And this one:

Kanye: So what inspired you to have that pink tank on your last tour? That was amazing, when you were sitting on top of the army tank.

Rihanna: I love to combine femininity with a kind of extreme masculine egde, and I felt like the tank is just not a typical thing that you think of when you think of a girl — or in any kind of relation to a girl. Then we made it hot pink. We just added that touch.

Kanye: I mean, people really need to see a photograph — the entire tank was pink. That was a great piece of commercial pop art. Was the idea of that to kind of portray an American Dream — like the fantasy of a this hot black girl sitting on a top of a pink tank?

Rihanna: I never actually thought of it like that.

Kanye: How does it feel to know that you could have any man in the world. Or woman. How does it feel to know that you can turn straight women gay?

Rihanna: Is that a real question?

Kanye: Yeah.

Rihanna: Well … Thank you. I don’t know how to feel about that. I guess that’s flattering.

Kanye: But just to have that level of power. How do deal with it? No one woman should have that much power.

 

I see where Kanye might have been going with the metaphor of a black girl atop a masculine weapon of destruction.  But Rihanna was not ready for that. 

On a lighter note, Kanye asked if she was ready for kids.  She said:

“I don’t really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right.  I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know."  She continued, ”If I had a girl, she’d probably be really rebellious.  She would be like a bundle of karma.”

I do like these pics though.  It's nothing out of the ordinary but the fashions are hot.

FOOLYWANG MATERIAL: Dennis Rodman Receives Oral Sex During Radio Interview (AUDIO)

Dennis Rodman did a radio interview while he was receiving oral sex. We've got the story and audio when you read on...

 

 

While playing in the NBA, Dennis was known for his wild antics and things haven't changed much since he left. He recently called into a Miami sports radio show to discuss the problems with the Miami Heat. And during the interview, he kept speaking to a woman who was "allegedly"  performing oral sex on him.

Seriously?! This is just disrespectful to the radio host. Dennis couldn't even focus.  SMH.  He couldn't wait till the interview was over?

Stacey Dash brought her 20-year-old son Austin (yes--20!) and her 7-year-old daughter Lola to NYC this week.  The fam was spotted walking the streets Tuesday afternoon:

ALMOST: Kyle Massey Cops Second Place "DWTS" Win!

"Dancing With The Stars" crowned their winner tonight. Read on for the deets...

Well we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the Tea Party (or a conspiracy) didn't infiltrate "Dancing With The Stars".  Bristol Palin came in 3rd out of the final 3 couples. 

And Kyle Massey and Lacey placed second.  He did a fab job this season so it's nothing to be shamed of.  And I'm sure tv time and more roles for the talented actor are going to follow.

And 50-year-old Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey (can you bah-leeve this chick is 50??) copped the first place slot.  Not mad at that at all--chick worked it out the whole season.  She's now taking home the Mirror Ball trophy with her partner Derek Hough.

Diddy & Cassie Have A BOA Date Night

Date night for Diddy and Cassie!  The twosome who act like they're not a couple were spotted leaving BOA steakhouse last night after a dinner date.

Aside from focusing on Diddy looking like he's straight out of one of his own late 90's metallic bubble suit wearing videos, we noticed Diddy left the same dinner spot as Cassie last night.  Even though they tried to leave separately:

And Cassie looked furry and cute while leaving out.  Cute look.

 

Nicki Minaj Promotes "Pink Friday" Lipstick At MAC + Kanye West Covers COMPLEX Magazine

This week the music industry is pink with Nicki Minaj fever.  She hit up the MAC store today in Times Square, NYC to promote Pink Friday Lipstick, part of another promotional tie-in to her album release.  See pics inside plus the new Kanye West cover for COMPLEX Magazine...

 

At her MAC launch, Nicki rocked a white mink coat with rainbow tresses and a black and tan dress.  

Pink Friday lipstick goes on sale on MAC's website beginning November 26th, with the limited edition  only available on the four Friday's in December 2010.

 

Nicki’s new documentary “My Time Now” is hitting MTV airwaves on November 28th at 10pm Eastern. In it she’s revealing her more private side as Onika Miraj.

Nicki explained,

"They're gonna meet Onika. Everybody sees Nicki Minaj; they're gonna meet Onika. They're gonna hear my story, and it's such an inspirational story, which I never really wanted to tell. 'Cause everyone always feels like you don't want people to know too much. But when I saw what [MTV and production company @radical.media] did, I thought, 'People need to see this.' It reminds you that everyone always feels like this is it, but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, and I feel like that's what the doc says at the end."

In the issue, some of the rapper's friends talk about working with him.

Nicki Minaj, who collaborated with him on “Monster” said:

“He’s a legend in hip-hop and in pop culture and to be on his album is a blessing. I don’t even remember him ever working with a female rapper, so to be on an album and on a record this monstrous? I couldn’t have planned it better in a perfect world.”

Kid Cudi talked about the studio process with Kanye:

“It’s very casual; we’re all creative people, so it’s not a stressful thing for us to create in the studio. We’re not in there pulling our hair out. We all have good ideas, and that’s why the records usually come out the way they come out - everybody adds their flavor, and it ends up being a masterpiece.”

SPOTTED: Fantasia's Lover Antwaun Cook Leaves Court With Wife Paula, Trial Date Set For December

Fanny's lover Antwaun Cook was spotted leaving the courthouse in Charlotte yesterday.  And after Fantasia's shocking admission, both he and his now estranged wife, Paula, looked like they'd had a rough day.

 

The judge also ruled that the trial will go through December.  Pics when you read on...

Fantasia Barrino's married lover and his soon-to-be-ex-wife appeared at Mecklenburg County Courthouse, Charlotte, North Carolina, for a hearing over their bitter divorce. Paula Cook and Antwaun Cook, who have two young sons, were spotted leaving the court after the day-long hearing. During the hearing, according to courtroom reports, Fantasia testified that she had aborted her and Antoine's baby.

 

Both Paula (above) and Antwaun left the court through separate exits following the hearing. The case was to determine which date they separated, and will continue in December.

Well this will be an interesting Holiday season for these folks.....

Ed Lover OUT, Angela Yee & Charlamagne IN+DMX Speaks From Jail

Now that Ed Lover and Free have been fired from NY's Power 105's morning show, the new regime has neen named.  Shade 45's Angela Yee, mixtape dj and radio personality DJ Envy, and Wendy Williams' former sidekick Charlamagne da God are all set to take the reins.

Ed Lover has been tweeting for days about getting fired from Power 105.  He says he doesn't know why other than new execs came in and wanted "structural changes".  But he's lending his support to the new morning team that was just named.  His tweets:

 

Angela Yee is leaving her 6 year post at Shade 45's "Morning After" show.  And Charlamagne's found himself a new gig along with DJ Envy.  Charlamagne doesn't have the best record with keeping a job on the radio, but this seems like a good market for him.  Congrats to them. 

 

 

 

Not sure why DMX thinks we believe anything out his mouth anymore, but here he is speaking from jail after his umpteenth arrest a couple days ago....

Nicki Minaj & Her Rainbow Wig Hit "106 & Park"

Nicki's always looking for a way to make people talk.  And I guess these multi colored wigs and ASSet baring outfits made up of different textures and patterns and colors all slapped together is her way of doing that.

 

We've got pics of her hitting up "106 & Park" to say wassup to the kiddies and pub Pink Friday when you read on...

Now that her album Pink Friday is officially on shelves, Ms. Minaj is still making her rounds on the scene:
