Jesse James announces engagement to Kat Von D: “I fell in love with my best friend” Posted: 20 Jan 2011 08:38 AM PST Kat Von D and Jesse James are engaged. For real this time - it's in People Magazine. Jesse actually spoke to People, like he was deigning to confirm something very big and exclusive, like he's an A-list celebrity. Bitch, get thee to In Touch Weekly. Sorry, anyway… Kat and Jesse are going to get hitched. Good. They deserve each other. She's a psycho and he's a womanizing neo-Nazi bastard. Start your engines. Motorcycle king Jesse James and tattoo artist Kat Von D are going to be married. “You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs,” James tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a f—-n’ blast!” The pair have been dating since last summer, following the collapse of James’s marriage to Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. Their divorce was finalized last June. “There is no one else for me. He’s the one,” The LA Ink star tells PEOPLE. Asked if she will move from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas, to be with her fiancé, Von D replied, “If only it were that easy. Having two places we call home will be good for now. In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart’s with him.” James, 41, and Von D, 28, have been engaged in Twitter PDA in recent weeks. On Jan. 13, James Tweeted: “They say True love will always shine through. The only reason I started Twitter again? so I could publicly profess my love for @thekatvond.” She responded: “Thank you always supporting me and believing in everything I do. But most of all, thanks for being my best friend.” [From People] Well… they sound happy. Good for them. Do you think she's pregnant? I'm surprised, quite honestly, that a baby announcement didn't come before an engagement announcement. Also… my theory: Jesse is just one of those men who always needs to be with a girl, or multiple girls. He can't be alone. Ugh. He just goes from wife to wife to mistress to girlfriend to wife. You've got to wonder… why is he so afraid of being alone for two seconds? Photos courtesy of WENN. |
Pete Wentz is no longer flat-ironing his hair: better or worse? Posted: 20 Jan 2011 08:03 AM PST Pete Wentz changed his hair over a week ago, but these are the first photos of his new style that we've had access to. Remember how Pete was stuck in flat-iron hell for… well, pretty much as long as he's been famous (five years? Longer?). So it looks like Pete's new "look" is to finally kill his flat iron (or donate it to The Jennifer Aniston Flat-Iron Foundation) and let his hair go natural. Who knew that Pete's natural hair was such a frizzy hot mess? That being said, I do prefer the white-boy afro to the mess that Pete used to have. Pete used to look like he never bathed, and just applied new layers of eyeliner and grease product on top of the old layers, all in lieu of bathing. Now he actually looks kind of clean. And he also looks like Mr. Middle-American Daddy At the Park. It's rather nice. Also, I can't help it, I think Bronx is adorable. I don't really care for his parents, but that kid got the best of his mom and dad. Photos courtesy of Fame. |
Michael Fassbender was sent out to appease the X-Men fanboys Posted: 20 Jan 2011 07:31 AM PST As I talked about yesterday, an image of the cast of X-Men: First Class was released a few days ago, and the lack of quality of the image seemed to piss off the fan boys. Fangirls were also disappointed - that stars Michael Fassbinder (Magneto) and James McAvoy (Xavier) were not making out, or embracing, or looking at each other tenderly. What? Fangirls are all over the homoeroticism, and with the Fassdong and McAvoy sharing a screen together, there better be something sexy and intimate for the ladies. Anyway, people were confused by the poor quality and general budget-ness of the first image, so the studio sent out three nicer promotional images to tease the fans. They also sent out Michael Fassbender to give an interview. The whole piece (here) is all about X-Men, and there's nothing about the Fassdong (boo!), but I still enjoyed it: MSN: What drew you to play this character and take on the challenge of assuming a role established by Ian McKellen? Michael Fassbender: Hopefully I won’t disappoint the fan base out there, because I know that what Ian McKellen did sort of latched onto a lot of imaginations and was very successful. But what drew me was the script and Matthew Vaughn and the fact that James McAvoy was going to be playing young Xavier. I thought it was a fresh take on the whole story. I’ve never been a big comic book enthusiast, but I thought it was an interesting concept to go back to when they were both friends and initially came together. After you signed on for the role, did a box come in the mail packed with hundreds of “X-Men” comics for you to peruse? Yes, it did, and I got knee-deep into them once I got involved. That was all my source material, because it’s all there in the comic books in terms of a backstory and formulating the character. I did also watch the other films and took notes from those, but took most of my references from the comic books. As someone coming to this from a sort of open perspective and not really being a fan, what did you learn about this character? He’s such a complex character, really, and the idea of him being a villain is interesting considering his history (Lehnsherr is a Holocaust survivor who lost his family in the camps, and later lost his wife and daughter) … he’s a very solitary individual, and the pain and grief that’s gone on even before we meet him in this film is an interesting pool of information to draw from, in coming up with this Machiavellian character for whom the ends justified the means. You can see where he’s coming from. Human beings don’t have the greatest track record in what they’ve done throughout history, so his point of view is, “Well, we are the next stage of evolution — (humans) are to us what Neanderthals were to Homo sapiens.” He’s always been a fascinating character because he’s not completely wrong, but thinks that everything he does is right, no matter what the cost. He’s an extremist, and that’s always a dangerous place to be. By the time we leave him at the end of this movie, he’s become very clear about what he wants and his decisions and his game plan. Early word on the movie’s story line draws parallels between Xavier and Lehnsherr and Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X in terms of the methods they use to achieve their goals. Did that comparison come out for you while making the film? You don’t set out to play these things that way, but it’s a good parallel to have in the back of one’s mind, as something to take from real life as a reference. I didn’t study any Malcolm X videos or anything like that. But it clarifies where both these characters are coming from. Hopefully by the end of the film, the audience is like, “Damn, why didn’t these two guys stay together?” They have enough in common and not in common to keep each other in check, and hopefully the audience will feel like they could have worked together for the greater good. The words “reboot” and “prequel” are thrown around so much these days, and are sometimes even used interchangeably. Is this a reboot of the entire “X-Men” franchise, or a true prequel where you could watch this and then sit down and watch the three earlier films and see a connection? I think the fundamentals are the same. The main thread of the story is still the same. I don’t really know how to answer the question because I haven’t seen this one yet, so I haven’t had a chance to watch it side by side with the other ones and see if they’re relative to each other. Hopefully they are, I think, but also we want to do something fresh as well and open a whole new chapter with this without totally betraying what was laid down before. The film is set in the ’60s and Vaughn has said he wanted to capture a certain look — specifically referencing the James Bond films of that era. He has also said that the costumes will be more like the comics’ versions and not the black rubber look of the other “X-Men” films. Can you comment on both of those ideas? There’s a scene where they just sort of transformed this hall in London into Buenos Aires Airport, and I just looked around this mock airport and said to myself, “My God, I’ve just had a feeling of being in the ’60s.” From the colors to the costume designs to the production design itself, there’s a sort of nostalgia in the air when you look around the room. It’s just from my own perception of the ’60s, and all that came with it in terms of the music and the fashions and so forth, but all of that comes across in the visual references that we all have. All of that is there to encapsulate the feeling of that era, for sure. As for our costumes, we went back and forth on so many things. We added things that worked in the comics, took them away again, and stripped them down again. … When it came to the Magneto suit, you know, there’s various stages of what has been done with it, but you will have something that is traditional to the comics. There is a helmet (laughs), which is of course essential to keep Charlie-boy out of my head, and the colors are also kept traditional to the comics, that sort of red and purple. I don’t know if I’m giving you too much, but I’ll say it anyway (laughs). Fans of the “X-Men” franchise were not completely happy with the way that the third film, “X-Men: The Last Stand,” was handled, even though it was financially successful, and there were grumblings about the “Wolverine” film as well. Is there a sense that you’ve set out to earn back the fans’ trust with this one? I certainly hope so. My face is gonna be up there and my name is gonna be attached to it. I’ve got a lot of faith in Matthew, and everyone is very passionate and working very hard to earn back any trust that’s waned a little bit from the last film. This interview is one of the first of the early stages of prerelease publicity for the film, which has been kept very much under wraps until now. Any other thoughts that you want to get out there about the movie at this point? Well, I just hope that this and some of the photos that are being released will whet the fans’ appetites for the summer. Hopefully they’ll be excited. [From MSN Entertainment] Yeah, Fassbender is a pro, and he cares about making the fanboys happy. But I still have a bad feeling about this - and I think it's interesting that the studio didn't sent McAvoy out as well to do interviews. I wonder if they tried and McAvoy refused? Perhaps because McAvoy knows this thing might be a train wreck? I want to believe it could be good though - I loved two of Matthew Vaughn's films, Layer Cake and Kick-Ass. I wish he would make another movie like Layer Cake, honestly, and stop messing around with these big-budget messes. Oh, these images come from the Los Angeles Times - they got an interview from the set with Matthew Vaughn. It's an interesting read too. Promotional images courtesy of the Los Angeles Times. |
Has Megan Fox lost too much weight, or gotten too much plastic surgery? Posted: 20 Jan 2011 07:00 AM PST These are some new photos of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green exiting a sushi joint yesterday. As you can see, Megan Fox is still looking very small. Apparently, many people were commenting on her slender frame at the Golden Globes. Not just her body, either - Megan looked especially "worked on" at the Globes. Her face was all kinds of jacked. It's funny, the first Transformers movie was on a few days ago, and I watched it for a minute. I caught a scene where Megan and Shia LeBeouf are just talking to each other, and I was stunned for a moment. She has radically altered her face in just a few years. It's ridiculous, especially considering that she was very pretty to start with. Anyway, Megan, eating, etc. I think she's always been really small. Does she starve herself? Eh. I have no idea. But I do think that she's naturally so petite that when she loses five pounds, you can really tell. I'm also wondering if we got these paparazzi shots because Megan was reacting to something, some news that maybe hurt her in some way. A few years ago, many would have considered Megan the front-runner in any race to cast Catwoman, a role that just went to Anne Hathaway. That doesn't mean that Megan would have had a shot in hell, even in a perfect world, even if she hadn't spent the last three years giving moronic, unprofessional interviews. I think Christopher Nolan would have always wanted to cast an "actress" rather than a glorified model/music video girl. Speaking of, here's one of Megan's latest shots for her Armani ad campaign. Halle Berry is “controlling & vindictive” to Gabriel Aubry, say sources Posted: 20 Jan 2011 06:28 AM PST A few days ago, the news came out that Gabriel Aubry had filed court documents to be officially declared the father of Nahla, his daughter with Halle Berry. My guess is that since Halle and Gabriel weren't married at any point, the custodial issues involving Nahla are a bit murkier than they would be with a standard post-divorce custodial arrangement. According to most legitimate sources, Gabriel filed the paperwork simply as a way to protect his legal rights as Nahla's father, and to have access to Nahla through a formal, legal joint custody arrangement. Now Radar has a report about what is happening behind the scenes - and they picture they paint is not pretty. Lots of drama. Don’t believe all those reports that everything is peachy between ex-couple Gabriel Aubry and Halle Berry — the reality is far from it. A source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that Gabriel has been subjected to a number of nasty screaming fits by the Monsters Ball star, along with a number of angry meltdowns, and even believes that Halle has hired a private investigator to tail him. The situation has gotten so bad that Gabriel felt “forced” to file a petition on December 30 for custody of their two-year-old daughter Nahla, to ensure his legal rights to visitation, something, the source says, the Canadian born model is anxious to establish. “Basically whenever Gabriel doesn’t do exactly what Halle tells him to do, or if he does something she doesn’t approve of or like, she goes crazy on him, screaming and shouting,” the source says. “Contrary to public perception Halle has a particularly nasty temper, and she can be really controlling and vindictive. I’ve been with him when he’s gotten these insane calls from Halle — with her screaming at him and going crazy, when the poor guy hasn’t done anything!” The source says the couple’s troubles really came to a head towards the end of last year when Gabriel started dating other women. He was photographed out in public on dates and a number of magazines ran stories about him dating and enjoying the single life. “Halle was absolutely furious and had a complete melt-down. She basically gave him an ultimatum — to choose between dating other women and carrying on being on her good side. She was particularly angry that he had been so public, even going to a Lakers game one time, and she totally berated him, basically telling him that if he has to date, just date a nobody waitress that nobody will care about. Gabriel is one of the most laid-back, nicest guys that I know, but in the end he just got sick of being bossed around and told what to do by his ex-girlfriend.” The source says that Gabriel is keen to legally establish his visitation and custody rights to ensure his future relationship with his daughter - and then move on with his life. But, although Gabriel has filed for legal custody he has no desire, or intention, to try to take Nahla away from her mother. In fact, despite his troubles with Halle he still maintains that she’s a good mother. He just wants to ensure he’s able to carry on being a good father. “At the end of the day Gabriel’s just sick of being told who he can and can’t date by Halle, and he’s had enough of it,” the source says. “It’s like completely hypocritical as well as she has been dating Olivier Martinez since last summer. But when Gabriel brought that up to her he said that she insisted it was different and that her relationship with Olivier was purely for business purposes. The situation is completely crazy.” And according to the source things could soon get even nastier — and crazier. “Gabriel told me that he believes Halle is having him tailed by a private investigator, and trust me, he’s not just some paranoid dude with a wild imagination. He said he’s noticed a car following him a few times now and that he’s just got this weird feeling that he can’t shake of being watched. Judging by Halle’s past actions and threats it wouldn’t surprise me, if Gabriel doesn’t follow her rules she’s going to fight nasty. But, if she thinks a PI is going to dig up anything salacious or scandalous I think she’ll be sorely disappointed. Gabriel’s one of the straightest, nicest, bordering on boring guys I know.” Meanwhile, you can expect Team Berry to go into PR overdrive when it comes to reports of troubles between the two, or of any bad behavior on the 44-year-old’s behalf. Halle is very protective of her image and those around her have already gone to great lengths to say that everything is great between her and Gabriel, often twisting the truth to portray Halle in a better light. In fact, last year when RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Gabriel had ended the couple’s five year relationship, a “source close to Halle” quickly fired back, claiming that SHE had in fact ended the romance months before it was announced, “kicking him out because he wasn’t able to pull his weight in the relationship” and that “she wanted to move on.” But, the truth will out eventually, and the fact that Gabriel has felt the need to take legal action to establish his paternity rights certainly points to there being trouble in paradise. [From Radar] Okay, I cracked up a little with "her relationship with Olivier was purely for business purposes." I believe Halle is being misquoted! I believe she said "My relationship with Olivier is all about my bidness." Anyway, yeah - I'll buy that Halle is a piece of work, and I'll also buy that she wasn't happy at all when Gabriel was hooking up with Kim Kardashian (no one was). I'll even buy that Halle has a bad temper and that Halle and Gabriel probably still get into huge fights. But I dislike how this Radar report paints Gabriel as the innocent little victim to Halle's path of destruction. It makes Gabriel “the source” seem really immature. Photos courtesy of WENN. |
Teen Mom’s Amber on Kim Kardashian: she made a sex tape and she’s bashing us? Posted: 20 Jan 2011 05:56 AM PST Kim Kardashian is now an expert on teen pregnancy, having briefly paid attention to something other than women’s foundation color and which toilet she’s supposed to attend the opening of this week. Kim posted a preachy missive on her blog about the case of 90 teen pregnancies in a high school in Memphis, Tennessee, which she claims to have learned about from a segment of The Today Show that aired on the same day she appeared on the show with her sister. Kim blamed MTV’s Teen Mom for the spate of pregnancies in Memphis, which is strange considering that the teen pregnancy rate has been on the decline since Teen Mom started airing. If Kim had paid attention to the Today Show segment, she may have realized that all the pregnant teens at that one high school may have more to do with the fact that at least 3 dozen of them transfered to the school to get special services they offered to pregnant students. Today also mentioned in that segment that the birthrate for US teens is down 6% this year. There are still too many pregnant teens of course, and Kim blames MTV for it. In response, Teen Mom’s notorious baby-daddy basher, Amber Portwood, pointed out that the teen pregnancy rate has declined. She also mentioned that Kim got famous for a sex tape and isn’t one to talk. I can’t stand Amber but she gets props for this: After seeing a “sad and disturbing” report on Today about a high school in Memphis, Tenn., that counted 90 students who were pregnant or had given birth in the past year, the E! star took to her blog and Twitter Wednesday to tell her fans that getting pregnant at a young age is not something to aspire to. “It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls,” she wrote on Celebuzz. “The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!” So, what do Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood and Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans have to say about that? “There’s actually a study that shows since the original 16 and Pregnant aired, the number of teen pregnancies have gone down,” Portwood exclusively tells E! News. “Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the internet and I’m pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it,” says the mother of 2-year-old Leah. “She made a sex tape when she was younger and she wants to bash the girls on Teen Mom? If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn’t glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we’ve all gone through. “We may be 'celebrities’ because our face is out there, but it’s only because we’ve done some bad things. That’s not glamorous.” Well, the paycheck is a little glamorous… “When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby,” Kim continued in her blog. “That thought wouldn’t even have entered my head. Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make and while I’m not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do.” [From E! News] E! also asked the new bad mom on the block Janelle about this controversy, and she said simply “sh*t happens.” See, Kim was once a teenager and she didn’t get pregnant so she should serve as a role model, not these Teen Moms who are stealing her reality show thunder. They don’t rate magazine covers, she does! I agree with Amber that Teen Mom doesn’t glamorize what these girls go through. The money and tabloid covers they get glamorize it, though. It’s not that I agree with Kim Kardashian at all. She’s such a dimwit she missed the whole part of the story where they said that the teen pregnancy rate was down across the US. It’s just that these anecdotal stories arouse Kim’s feelings of frozen-faced superiority, and that’s so much more compelling than statistics or facts. Kim is shown on 1/14/11 and 1/18/11. Natalie Portman: Romantic comedy clichés “offend me” Posted: 20 Jan 2011 05:56 AM PST Natalie Portman is still talking. Bless her heart. Little Miss Privacy is campaigning for an Oscar, and we will hear the gushy clichés about her bump and her glow and how she's "fat" and happy from now until the Oscars. After that, hopefully Natalie and her Ballet K-Fed will simmer down. That's Natalie's plan - she tells People Magazine: "I hope I'll get to lie in bed and eat popcorn and watch TV for the rest of [my pregnancy]. Not always be out in public looking like a whale, but it's all nice energy that everyone is showing." Not that Natalie regrets stepping out in her condition and having everyone fawn over her: "I feel happy and I think when you're happy you're always glowing." Not only is campaigning for that Oscar, she's also promoting that horrible-looking romantic comedy No Strings Attached, with Ashton Kutcher. But don't call it a romantic comedy! You see, in the film, Natalie plays a doctor, not a fashion girl. And there's no makeover. Thus, this romantic comedy is different! Because if romantic comedy characters like clothes and need a makeover, that "offends" Natalie's delicate sensibilities. Aside from being engaged and pregnant, Natalie Portman is trying something else new this year, by starring in a romantic comedy. Natalie has taken on the challenge of starring in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached with Ashton Kutcher because it finally fit her type of chick-flick. "I've always wanted to do one," Natalie tells Entertainment Weekly. "But the girls are always in fashion, and it's always about their clothes. They always want to get married at the end. There's some kind of makeover scene. That stuff offends me." But No Strings Attached left that "stuff" out. "[Screenwriter] Liz Meriwether writes women so specifically and smartly," the Black Swan star says of the film. "My character is a woman who's working, who's trying to create her own construct for relationships, who's funny herself — and isn't just the girlfriend of a funny guy." And Natalie is working on making some romantic comedy-type films of her own through her production company, Handsomecharlie Films. "Natalie wants to build something that's different from your usual production company," Annette Savitch, her producing partner, says. "We want to do movies that are female driven, from a fresher perspective. So if it's a comedy, it's not just about women out to find husbands. I think that's really lacking today." They're currently working on Best Buds, a "stoner roadtrip comedy," and BYO, a "female Superbad." What do you think of Natalie's romantic comedy opinion? Are you offended by them or is that "stuff" she hates the part you love? [From OK! Magazine] No, Natalie has a point, she honestly does. There is a lot of stuff in these interchangeable rom-coms that I find offensive. And yes, Natalie has every right to point out that all women, and all romantic heroines in film, don't need to ring and don't have to give a crap about fashion. But is Natalie the right person to get on her high horse about this? You know what offends me? One of the best actresses of her generation, a Harvard-educated beauty, who says crap like, "Thank you to Benjamin, who is helping me continue this creation of creating more life. Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, ‘Would you sleep with that girl?’ And he’s like, ‘Pffsh, no.’ He’s the best actor. It’s not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!” So much of that offends me. Of course, I'm also offended that Natalie is shilling her rom-com by pretending she's selling anything other than her engagement and her bump - looks like that is what ALL girls want, isn't it, Natalie? Also, rose-boobs offend me too. Just a personal quirk of mine. Photos courtesy of WENN. |
Did LeAnn Rimes “protect” her Twitter feed so she could go crazy on Brandi Glanville? Posted: 20 Jan 2011 05:23 AM PST CB sent me this Amy Grindhouse post - it's a complicated story about LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville, and I won't be able to do every single nuanced, psychotic turn justice, so if you want the full story, go here to Amy Grindhouse. It seems that in the wake of her engagement and the debut of her new tittays, LeAnn Rimes has decided to "protect" her generally psychotic and rabid Twitter account. This is unfortunate for bloggers and professional gossips, because LeAnn's Twitter feed was always good for "Isn't this bitch crazy?" post, especially because LeAnn couldn't fart without sending ten tweets about it. When someone "protects" their Twitter feed, it means that only the people they want to "follow" them are allowed to see the tweets. Not only did LeAnn protect her feed, but according to Amy Grindhouse, LeAnn has also been dropping "followers" right and left. But that's not all! According to some of the people who have access to LeAnn's tweets, LeAnn has apparently been especially insane about Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville. There's some stuff in this report that I already knew - LeAnn is cyber-stalking Brandi, LeAnn copies whatever Brandi is doing, LeAnn is Single White Female-ing Brandi, etc. Something new, however: LeAnn's tour manager Bradley Moore has also been cyber-stalking Brandi, and Bradley seems obsessed with mocking and criticizing Brandi's every move as well. See some of the screen-capped tweets here. Photos courtesy of Bauer-Griffin. |
OK! Mag: Eric Johnson’s K-Fed-ness embarrasses Jessica Simpson Posted: 20 Jan 2011 04:54 AM PST OK! Magazine has an absolutely hilarious story in this week's print edition. It's all about how Jessica Simpson is embarrassed by Eric Johnson! Not the other way around - Farty McCorndog isn't embarrassing Eric, HE is embarrassing HER. Because he's like K-Fed. Or the "ballet K-Fed". Eric needs a catch-phrase too… "the football K-Fed". Something like that. Anyway, apparently Jessica is coming to the slow realization (her only kind of realization) that Eric is jobless and that she pays for everything, and that if they get married, it will probably only get worse. What's especially funny is the story about how Eric got all judgy about Jessica wanting to buy a $4000 Fendi bag. It's her money, bitch. She can spend it how she wants! If Eric Johnson is going to marry Jessica Simpson, he'd better learn the importance of an "It" bag. The couple went shopping in the Fendi store in Aspen over New year's, and a fellow shopper spotted them looking at several $4,000 bags. "Her fiancé made a comment that he didn't get what made the bag so expensive - it was just a name - and why did she need it?" the eyewitness says. "Jess rolled her eyes and gave him a dirty look. She tried to laugh it off in front of the salesperson, but you could tell she was mortified." It wasn't the first time Eric embarrassed her. In fact, Eric got so drunk at one of Aspen's trendiest restaurants, he literally fell to the street as he stumbled out. And even after that, much to Jessica's chagrin, Eric went on to drink at another restaurant. And while the couple seems to be in love, his lack of sophistication, style and funds seems to put up a barrier between them. While Eric was once an NFL football player, his career was plagued with injuries and short-lived. Now he's jobless and Jessica's fashion business made almost a billion dollars last year. Jessica is beginning to grow concerned because she pays for everything in the relationship. A source even says: "Jessica wants a super huge wedding, so that means it will be up to her to put up the cash." But other friends are concerned that Jess may be realizing she's made a mistake with Eric. "The thing is, as much as Jess could not wait to get engaged, she hasn't actually set a date yet, not has she begun to make plans," says the source. "It makes you wonder if the wedding will actually come off, or if Jess will get tired of paying the bills and look for a man who is more of a financial equal." [From OK Magazine, print edition] I have two big reasons why I think this report isn't the whole truth. First, the story about Eric being drunk off his ass. If that happened (probably), it was likely because he was trying to keep up with Jessica and her extremely high tolerance for liquor. Secondly, Jessica isn't going to call off the wedding. She just isn't. Let's be honest, here. She isn't. Photos courtesy of Fame. |
Khloe Kardashian’s YBR Mag photo shoot: trashy, embarrassing or inspired? Posted: 20 Jan 2011 04:45 AM PST I'm sure you've already seen Khloe Kardashian's cover appearance on the new issue of YRB Magazine. This is honestly the first time I've ever been aware that a "YRB Magazine" exists, so… is Khloe their normal kind of cover girl? Oh, I just looked it up. They've had Kellan Lutz on the cover before! KELLAN LUTZ. That says it all. Anyway, Khloe did this completely strange and unflattering photo shoot with the magazine, and towards the end of the photo gallery, I really just wanted the pain to stop and for someone to shoot me in the face. And I actually like Khloe! She can look pretty if she's styled correctly. These are just not attractive photos. Here's what Khloe had to say about the shoot: Hi my loves. I am so excited to finally be able to share with you my spread in YRB magazine!!! Isn't it fab?! It's so different from anything I've ever done, which was what made the shoot so fun for me! YRB is known for being very wild and crazy with the content they publish, so I jumped at the chance to work with them! I love experimenting with different looks and this was the perfect opportunity for me to do that. This shoot was actually part of the inspiration behind my decision to dye my hair red. I had been considering it, but then the shoot went so well so I decided to go for it that day! I guess I was just in changing mood LOL. Mike Ruiz was the photographer and Darius Baptist, the Fashion Director of the magazine styled the shoot. They both did such a fabulous job!!! I mean, can you believe those outifts?! And those shoes?!? I die for every single thing Darius dressed me in. [From Khloe's Celebuzz site] There's one outfit in particular that reminded me of something in Star Wars. Help me out, nerds. What is this? What is the Star Wars reference? It's somebody in Jabba's coterie right? That's what you get, Khloe. You try some highly-stylized photos, and you get a Jabba reference. Ugh: Photos courtesy of YRB/Khloe's Celebuzz blog. |
