Grey's Musical Episode Was A Hit! Posted: 01 Apr 2011 12:40 PM PDT And quite a hit it was! Check out these ratings! The very unique, actually-pulled-off episode of Grey's Anatomy managed to rake in 12.7 Million in viewers and a 4.8 demo rating! That's actually incredible for a mid-season episode, delivering a 26 and 32 percent jump respectively! Also, it got more viewers AS IT AIRED, and ended up being the most watched episode since the season premiere! They took a chance, and not only did it turn out really well, but it paid off big time in terms of ratings! Goes to show that finding a unique way to tell a story is almost always worth the risk! How do U feel about the musical episode?? |
New Phantom Tour Coming Next Year! Posted: 01 Apr 2011 12:30 PM PDT Back in January, we were very impressed to hear that the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera had a killer week where it grossed $1,390,530.53, which was its highest weekly gross in 23 years! Now, theatre producer Cameron Mackintosh will breathe new life into the show The new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's play will be helmed by Laurence Connor, and it will feature "new sets and costumes by Paul Brown and lighting by three-time Olivier Award winner Paule Constable." Should be inneresting to see how this version differs from the Broadway musical. Will U check out the new Phantom tour next year when it plays near you? |
Yes! Parker Posey Joins The Cast Of The Big C! Posted: 01 Apr 2011 12:20 PM PDT Yeah, it's pretty much safe to assume that The Big C will NOT have to worry about any kind of sophomore slump! We reported yesterday that both Alan Alda and Hugh Dancy had signed up for roles on the Laura Linney Showtime dramedy's second season, and right on the heels of that, it was announce that our beloved Parker Posey will also be appearing in four episodes! According to sources, the actress will be playing Poppy, an older woman who develops an interesting relationship with Linney's character's son, played by Gabriel Basso. Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Dancy will play Lee, a cancer patient who becomes friends with Linney's character while they take part in an experimental drug trial! Excellent! Both parts sound pretty effing inneresting! And both of them are MORE than capable, so we cannot wait to see them really stick their teeth into the roles! It's gonna be GOOD. What do U think?? Will U be watching The Big C when it comes back in June?? [Image via WENN.] |
Coming Soon To SyFy - Piranhaconda! Posted: 01 Apr 2011 12:10 PM PDT Yes! YES! YES! First they brought us the glory of Sharktopus! Then we treated to our beloved Debbie Gibson and Tiffany duking it out alongside Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid! Now, SyFy has a new creature feature ready to blow our minds with its sophisticated CGI, thought-provoking, multi-layered screenplay, unprecedented acting skills, and a budget that only the Ark Music Factory could successfully work with - and it's called Piranhaconda! That's right, an anaconda/piranha hyrbid! According to a plot synopsis, the flick stars Michael Madsen and Rachel Hunter, and involves "a low-budget horror movie crew, inept kidnappers and a reptile expert battle a monstrous anaconda/piranha hybrid in the Amazon jungle." And check out what that little beastie is going to look like (above)! LOLz! Oh man. That is some straight up camp, right there. And we couldn't be more thrilled! SyFy really struck gold when they realized how marketable these messes of films could actually be! Who doesn't love creature features?! OUR PIRANHACONDA DON'T WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT BUNS, HUN! LOLz. Sorry, we're just really excited for this. What do U think?? Will U be tuning in for the amazing, once in a lifetime amazingness that will surely be Piranhaconda?? |
Reese Witherspoon And Chelsea Handler Do Dinner Posted: 01 Apr 2011 11:50 AM PDT Back in October, we heard that Reese Witherspoon and Chelsea Handler were set to co-star in the McG-directed comedy This Means War together. Guess working together has brought them close, because the two were seen heading out to dinner together (above) in El Lay last night. Why didn't you bring Tom Hardy along with you? He's starring in your new movie too, right? Hope you two had a good dinner! …Bring Tom next time. Ha! [Image via Fame Pictures.] |
The Hangover Part II Has A New Full Trailer! Posted: 01 Apr 2011 11:40 AM PDT This looks so awesome!! Check out the brand new full trailer for The Hangover Part II above! We LOVE that they're going with shifted recurring jokes in addition to new ones. Tattoo vs. Tooth, Monkey vs. Baby, Asian Brother Lost vs. Justin Bartha… it all looks like they're going to hit the hilarity mark! That's good news too, because this movie is really anticipated and anything less that an A-Game home run would sadly be disappointing! Plus Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis are back being super seksi! Watch it and let us know what U think! |
Shaki Helps Rebuild School In Haiti Posted: 01 Apr 2011 11:30 AM PDT She has such a good heart. Shakira's Pies Descalzos Foundation, along with the Interamerican Development Bank, will help in rebuilding one of Haiti's historic public schools, The Elie Dubois school, by contributing $800,000 for reconstruction and new supplies. After the school was destroyed in last year's earthquake, the Haiti government was in desperate need for financial assistance to rebuild the public school. Both Shakira and the IDB believe that reconstructing the school will help transform Haiti's entire educational system. "I am convinced that the only thing that will change the fate of Latin America and the Caribbean will be governments placing themselves at the center of the investment towards a quality education for all boys and girls, from birth and thereon in," said Shakira. Hear hear! Good work, Shaki. We always so inspired by your endless charitable contributions. [Image via Epic Records.] |
Courteney Cox Continues To Have Fun In The Sun (Platonically) With Co-Star Posted: 01 Apr 2011 11:20 AM PDT Hmm. The longer they stay there, the more suspicious we get about the "platonic" nature of this vacation. Courteney Cox was spotted taking a splash yesterday with her Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins in St. Barths. The two have been in France most the week, along with Courtney's daughter, Coco, taking in the rays and generally looking like they're having a good time. We want to believe that they are nothing more than just friends…if for no other reason than to spare David Arquette the crushing blow of heartache. What do U think? [Image via Fame Pictures.] |

Posted: 01 Apr 2011 10:50 AM PDT Earlier this week, we were sad to report that Madonna is currently being slapped with an unfair dismissal lawsuit from former employees of her Raising Malawi charity, now that plans for her new girls school in the country fell apart. Now, Kabbalah leaders are claiming that former disgruntled members "have now turned against us," and they believe these people are involved in Madonna's current troubles. Here's what Karen Berg, wife of Kabbalah center founder Philip Berg, wrote about it in an email to members:
More from Karen Berg on Madonna's Raising Malawi charity, which Madge formed with Berg's son Michael:
Dark stuff! We just hope everything gets worked out for Madonna, whether or not former Kabbalah followers have in fact contributed to her current woes. Do U think disgruntled former Kabbalah members have it out for Madonna? [Image via WENN.] |
