Hot Shot: So Rory Culkin Got Cute, Eh? Posted: 14 Apr 2011 11:55 AM PDT Oh man, we’ve finally decided on the cutest Culkin. It’s totally Rory, who’s been sporting a long-haired surfer look these days. Look at those cheekbones! The 21-year-old actor has a role in Scream 4; one more reason to see it! Post from: Crushable |
Crushable Quotable: Nicki Minaj's Style Icon Is Marge Simpson Posted: 14 Apr 2011 08:56 AM PDT Rapper Nicki Minaj is totally fearless, both in her lyrics and her look. Lately, she’s been sporting a sky-high new wig. She told People StyleWatch that the ‘do was inspired by none other than Marge Simpson.
For Nicki’s next look, might we suggest Pebbles Flintstone? Girl would look great with a bone in her hair. Post from: Crushable Crushable Quotable: Nicki Minaj's Style Icon Is Marge Simpson |
Sex on the Wire: This Just In - Women Don't Want Expensive Dates Posted: 14 Apr 2011 11:35 AM PDT Women spend more money grooming before a date than men. No shit, Sherlock. (PR Newswire) Yes, you can watch porn at the library. (TresSugar) Are you open to the idea of opening up the back door? (College Candy) Would you go stag to a wedding? (Betty Confidential) Who woulda thunk it: sexual desire seems to be a motivator for men to go into the military. (YourTango)

Am I Right Ladies? Choose Pro-Lady! Posted: 14 Apr 2011 10:55 AM PDT This Planned Parenthood debate is Kyl-ing me, amirightladies? Normally the closest thing to political I ever get is writing elaborate Joe Biden fan fiction, but this whole mess in Washington DC over funding Planned Parenthood has gotten my waist-high panties in a french twist. What is it with all these men in suits named John trying to trace every single abortion back to Planned Parenthood? I mean come on, the pap smears there are so affordable and the nurses will give you all the free condoms you want even if you just told them you haven't had sex in three years and probably won't for the next three. What's not to love? I can't quite buy that the GOP hates womyn, so the only logical explanation is that they just hate a good deal. Nobody puts baby in the bargain basement, amirightGOPwives? Seems to me this one's for the girls to decide, but what do I know? I don't even have a date, let alone a boyfriend, let alone a husband, let alone a reason to worry when I miss my bi-monthly period. Speaking of which, I should get that checked out but I don't even know where now (Gailed It). Anyway, I said aloud to no one the other night, Gail, let's do some learning. Let's take a look at some of the "anti-abortion" messaging out there and see what all the fuss is about. Pro-life? If only I could find a man who is "pro-wife," specifically for me. The Daily Bieber: NAMBLA Wants Justin Posted: 14 Apr 2011 10:46 AM PDT Uh Oh! It looks like the North American Man/Boy Love Association has its sights set on Justin Bieber. You guys think he’ll write back?? Post from: Crushable |
The Daily WTF: Kate Middleton Is a Total Jelly Face Posted: 14 Apr 2011 10:20 AM PDT Forget the Virgin Mary on a grilled cheese, we’ve got something way more topical. An eagle-eyed candy fan from Somerset spotted the face of Kate Middleton in his mango Jelly Belly jelly bean. He kept the bean and is planning to sell it to a collector over eBay. Paging the Ronald Reagan estate! Seriously though, the resemblance is uncandy, right? Post from: Crushable |

Celebrity Lookalikes: Casting 'Gotti: Three Generations' Posted: 14 Apr 2011 09:19 AM PDT Gotti: Three Generations is slowly putting together a cast. John Travolta‘s signed on to play legendary mob boss John Gotti, Sr. and Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in talks to play John’s daughter, Victoria. So who else should be cast in the tale of crime and New York City? Here are out choices. Post from: Crushable |
Posted: 14 Apr 2011 09:09 AM PDT This past Monday, M. Night School launched: The cheeky website is trying to raise $150,000 through crowdsourcing — asking just a dollar a person — to send M. Night Shyamalan back to film school at NYU. We spoke with the site’s creator, BBDO copywriter Chris Baker (@funkmastabaker), about what he and the other creators will do if they fail to raise the money, what could be responsible for Shyamalan’s creative downslide, and the negative backlash they’ve already received. This isn’t Baker’s first contribution to the Internet: In October 2010, he and several BBDO coworkers letter-bombed then-New-York-governor David Paterson’s Facebook page, spelling out “Sign the Autism Bill,” and provided a tutorial on how to do so yourself on other profiles. What inspired you to start the site? I got the idea awhile ago, when I went to see Inception; there was a trailer that played, for Devil. I don't know if you remember, but there was a video circulating [on the Interet] of the audience reacting to the title card that said "by M. Night Shyamalan." The audience I was with just erupted into luaghter when that came on. I don't remember when I sent the tweet out, but I said, "Does anyone want to help me build a website to crowdsource money to help send M. Night back to film school?" That's what spawned the whole thing, but my buddy Eric Roller said, "I'm in as long as we call it M. Night School." [Roller also assisted with copy for the site.] Vanessa Castaneda did the whole design, I hired some programmers… It took a while for us to put it together just because we were chipping away at it when we could, on the side. And then when he got back in the news two weeks ago, he announced his new film with Will Smith [1000 A.E., also starring Jaden Smith], we said, "We've got to get this thing out the door, even though there are few things we need to fix." So we launched it on Monday. That's fantastic. So what kind of work are you in? Do you have a connection to film criticism at all? I work in advertising. I do a lot of online stuff, interactive stuff and advertising. I am not a film critic outside of conversations I've had with friends about movies I like. But I am a huge film buff. I've never really been an M. Night fan. I did like The Sixth Sense, which I feel like everyone likes; some peple even love it. It's been so downhill from there. I think everyone's grown tired of the over-selling of plot twists. It's a case of being given too much of what we asked for. The first couple of rounds were great, but when the marketing boys in Hollywood broke out the beer bong we got sick. Post from: Crushable |
