Solange DJ's At "Black Is Never Absolute" + Meagan Good & Pooch Hall Talk "Jumping the Broom At FAMU

Solange Knowles attended Roberto Cavalli's "Black Is Never Absolute" photo exhibit in the Roberto Cavalli store at Crystals at CityCenter in Las Vegas last night. We have pics from the event plus Pooch Hall and Meagan Good visiting the campus of FAMU in support of their upcoming TriStar Pictures film "Jumping The Broom"....

Last night, Roberto Cavalli boutique hosted a Trunk Show for guests to view the new Fall / Winter 2011-2012 Collection. There was a  cocktail reception held  and an exhibit of Mr. Cavalli's personal photographs called “Black Is Never Absolute."

Celebrity DJ Solange Knowles spun Motown oldies while models presented the new collections.

Cute bohemian look.

I think she has found her calling.

 

 

Over in Florida...

Florida A&M (FAMU) welcomed a surprise as Meagan Good and Pooch Hall visited the campus to promote their upcoming film "Jumping the Broom by inviting the students to a free screening of the movie.

Meagan and Pooch rocked some laid back looks while hanging out with the coeds.

They also  gave a mini campus interview. 

And even took time to sign autographs for fans. Minimal makeup and all... Meagan Good looks gorgeous.

The "Jumping The Broom" HBCU Tour also hit up  NC A&T and Howard University campuses to promote their film. The movie debuts May 6.

COUPLES FAB: Kimora Lee And Djimon Hounsou Rev Up + Halle Berry And Olivier Martinez Wind Down

It's a celebration of love today and we've got pics of Halle Berry and her boo Olivier Martinez winding down after dinner, plus Kimora Lee and hubby Djimon Hounsou getting revved up at the racetrack.

Yesterday, Kimora Lee and her husband Djimon Hounsou attended the People Magazine Presentation of The PEOPLE Pole Award at The 2011 Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach.

I love sexy dressed-down looks with a tank and jeans and booties.

 

Kimora was there to cheer her hubby on and she gave his hot ride her blessing by touching it with her fabulosity.

 

As if Djimon could get any sexier....now he's racing cars.

Ming Lee was also there to cheer Djimon on.

While there, both Kimora and Djimon chatted up Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.

And Djimon posed with Tito Ortiz.

I hope he got some great footage because it looked like a fun day at the racetrack.

Halle Berry and her sexy boyfriend Olivier Martinez were spotted dining together at the Lemonade restaurant in West Hollywood.

Halle wore a revealing striped sun-dress that showed off her curves and assets.  Cute.

FESTIVAL FAB: Lauryn Hill & Cee-Lo Rock The Mic At Coachella, Usher & Girlfriend Grace Miguel Chill At The Fest

'Tis the season for great music festivals and The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival did not disappoint with its stellar roster of performers.  Come inside to see pics of Lauryn Hill and Cee-Lo Green entertaining music lovers from all over, and see Usher chilling with his lady Grace Miguel.

The Coachella Music Festival kicked off at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California yesterday with Lauryn Hill amongst the headliners.

 

As usual, she did a number of her hits.....remixed.  Sometimes the fans like them and sometimes they don't.

But she looked great and as "normal" as we have ever seen her.

And Cee-Lo Green was there to spread his musical message.

 

Cee-Lo is one of the mentors on NBC's new music competition show "The Voice."
 

Also at the festival....

Usher was seen walking around with his girlfriend Grace Miguel (in the far left corner).

It looks like the couple came with an entourage.

 

Usher recently returned to the States after performing in Australia and New Zealand.

While there, Usher ran into fellow artist Miguel.

And he took the time to snap a few pics with fans.  How sweet.

EVENT FAB: Miami Heat Stars & Girlfriends Do HAUTE LIVING For Adrienne Williams' Birthday

While a few pics already hit the net yesterday we've got lots more from Adrienne Williams' birthday dinner hosted by Haute Living and Dom Perignon.  It went down recently in Miami--and her Miami Heat fiance' Chris Bosh, his teammates, and the girlfriends like Savannah, Gabby Union, and others, came out to celebrate.

At Chris and Adrienne's Miami home, Deborah Cox, Chris Bosh, Adrienne Williams, Sarah Mirmelli, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Julie Gorelik, Savannah Brinson and Lebron James got together for the haute shindig to celebrate Adrienne's b-day.  Haute Living and Dom Perignon sponsored the intimate dinner to kick off of their Haute 100 celebrations.

The ladies looked fab at the event.  Even though I'm not sure about the asian inspired look Savannah was going for.

Gabby and her perfect skin looked cute.

The trio of besties--Dwyane, Chris, and LeBron--all kicked it.

Former Heat star Alonzo Mourning was in the mix.

And he brought his fab wife Tracy along.

Well aren't they cute.

Adrienne even had an Hermes bag and box birthday cake.

Fab times for the ladies.  Since Adrienne already has wedding plans complete, we wonder who will be the second of the trio to tie the knot with their man....

Jennifer Hudson was spotted walking around L.A. sans makeup recently.  The brave Ms. Hudson looked took a stroll of freedom and you can see pics inside, plus the latest cover of KONTROL Magazine with The Braxtons.

Clearly, Jennifer Hudson is not afraid to show folks what she looks like without makeup.  The "Where You At" singer was recently spotted in L.A. looking casual and free..

 

 

And on magazine racks.......

The Braxtons appear on the May issue of KONTROL Magazine.  Toni, Tamar.com, Trina, Towanda and Traci all got gorge for the cover of the new mag.  Loving all their looks.

New Orleans Hornets baller Chris Paul's fiancee/baby moms Jada got a sneak peek at what his bachelor party would be like last night. Nicki Minaj pulled him on stage for her nightly lap dance. Watch Nicki make Chris blush inside.....

The I Am Music Tour II rolled into New Orleans--Lil Wayne's hometown--for one of their largest tour stops.  And, of course, NBA baller Chris Paul was at the New Orleans arena to support Young Money.

Janet Jackson had an "intimate" moment with her fans during a recent tour stop in California.  Find out what happened inside and get the deets on Coolio's drunken performance and where Ciara took her crew after Supafest.

Janet Jackson took her "Number Ones" Tour to Universal City, CA yesterday and became emotional when a photo of she and big brother Michael Jackson flashed on the screen.


 

Many audience members clapped and cheered Miss Janet on during the very emotional moment which was a tour highlight.

She is such a fab chick.  Great to know her tour is doing well.

 

And down under in Australia...


 

We told you previously about Ciara shutting it down at SupaFest, but the "Ride" singer also found time to have a little fun.


 

While down under, she took her crew to the DreamWorld Amusement Park.

Coolio performed for "Hip Hop Thursdays" at The Lounge in Minneapolis.

"Fashion Rebel" Amar'e Stoudemire Discusses His New Line With Rachel Roy

In a new profile in WWD, Amar'e Stoudemire discussed his life as a "fashion rebel" and how he came to work with fab designer Rachel Roy.  Get the deets on their partnership inside...

We told you previously about the new fashion line being created by New York Knicks star Amar'e Stoudemire and designer Rachel Roy, and now we know a little bit more about their partnership.

In a recent fashion profile of the pair, Amar'e explained their partnership this way, "I pretty much let her drive the car and I am just being the maintenance man."

Amar'e, who sat front row at many shows during Fashion Week this year, says he has been a clotheshorse for as long as he can remember.

“I was never a designer or anything like that, but as far as putting together what I was going to wear, I was a fashion rebel, always mixing it up,” said Stoudemire. “As long as I remember, I always did something with my clothes. I would slice up the bottom of my jeans so that they would look different. I would change the design of my shirt and add an extra layer. I would wear two different tennis shoes."

And now, his success in the sports arena allowed him to hook up with one of the hottest young designers in the world.  And Rachel Roy herself seems to really enjoy their work together.  She said working with Amar'e helped jog her own artistic fire and put her in a different mindset saying:

"What does Gisele wear when she goes to see her man [New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady] play? What would Kate Moss wear? Those images are the inspiration as we’re designing.”

So what will it all look like?  We haven't seen a preview yet but I'm sure it will be fab. The line will retail between $45-$250 when it hits Macy's racks in September.
