McRapey went back to work for the first time yesterday and did the thing he does second best.

As mad as Steelers fans might have been with Ben Roethlisberger over the latest of his sexual allegations, they welcomed him with open arms yesterday… and didn’t regret having done so after his performance, leading the Steelers to a 28-10 victory over the Browns.

“I had a little bit of tears in my eyes,” Roethlisberger said. “I don’t think it hit me until I was pullin into the stadium. I started to think about it and everything, and then on the field before the game, I got a little emotional. I felt like it was a pretty good day. I felt like I left a lot of plays out there, missed some things here and there.”

He came in, took control of the huddle as he always does,” said Hines Ward, who caught one of the three TD passes, the others going to Mike Wallace and Heath Miller. “One thing about him, you look into his eyes, you know you have a chance to win the ballgame.”

Roethlisberger made a point of giving each of his teammates – and even the ball boys – a hug during the pregame warmups. Then he went out and completed 16-of-27 for 257 yards, getting sharper as the game went on. He admitted he was “antsy” early, overthrowing his receiver for a second-quarter interception.

Let’s not test the “third time’s the charm” theory, m’kay McRapey?

Jay-Z may be one of the most successful rappers of all time, but one project he will never accomplish, is working with singer Sade.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Sade reveals that Jay–Z and other MCs have approached her about rapping over her beats or having her sing the hook on their records, but she has politely declined.

Monica was spotted at last night’s “Black Girls Rock” awards/concert rocking rather impressive new piece of jewelry. And before the night was over, she confirmed her engagement to her laker boo Shannon Brown.

What Is Legendary Perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain Saying About Black People???

Even “lost in translation” can’t explain this one away.

Jean-Paul Guerlain was the fourth generation perfumer from the house of Guerlain, one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. He was recently asked about the origins of one of Guerlain’s most popular fragrances, “Samsara.” His choice of words to describe his work ethic is questionable to say the least.

Now, in Guerlain’s defense, the person writing the subtitles on this interview may have OD’d in his translation of ‘negre,’ which could just as easily be replaced in English by “negro” or “black.” (Remember: Black people in France can’t possibly be African-Americans… since they’re not American). And at 73, Guerlain certainly does come from a generation during which “negro” or “colored” was the appropriate term.

But still, what the hell was he trying to say with that statement? Do you feel offended?
