Rumer Willis looks so much cuter when she’s not trying so hard

Since it's a slow day, I literally debated myself about doing this simple, boring story about Rumer Willis. These are photos from Rumer's appearance in Berlin yesterday, where she was officially promoting the Windows 7 SmartPhone, which is supposed to be like the iPhone, I guess. I'm not a technical person, I don't really care, so if you want to correct me on that one, have at it. So Rumer got hired! For an actual job! Standing on a red carpet holding a phone. Good for her. She dressed up for the job too, where an outfit that it reminding me of Flashdance for some reason. It's a vague association… is it the rolled up sleeves with a hint of sweatshirt, maybe? But her hair looks cute, and she's still losing weight for some reason. I don't really get that - her figure was cute before, but this radical weight loss seems really strange to me.

Also, while in Germany, Rumer engaged in a habit I didn't know she had - she smokes! Beyond the cig, though - she looks a hell of a lot cuter in the candid pic, right? Because she's not TRYING so hard.

Helena Bonham Carter’s fashion sense is joyfully, excessively crazy

Wow, Helena Bonham Carter has some tittays, doesn't she? These are photos from the London Film Festival's photo call for The King's Speech, the film that will likely garner Colin Firth his Best Actor Oscar (not to jinx it or anything, but this needs to happen). While Colin did his best to look dashing and gorgeous, and Geoffrey Rush did his best to look like himself, Helena Bonham Carter (who plays Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in the film), looked all kind of weird. But it's a delightful weird. I think the suit is Vivienne Westwood, but HBC can make ANYTHING look like Vivienne Westwood. I can deal with the boots (hideous with this suit), and I can deal with the black glasses (kind of cute, actually), but what I find slightly ridiculous is that HBC has her tittays out.

By the way, I think Colin is still being styled by Tom Ford. That's the only explanation I have for those jeans, and that sexy face and the way he's carrying himself. I think Tom Ford has a vested interest in Colin Firth's style from now on. How could Tom Ford resist? Colin is so f-cking cute.

Christina Aguilera wants us to remember that she’s the victim, okay?

Oddly enough, Christina Aguilera has given an exclusive statement to Redbook about how she is doing post-split. Given Radar's wonky reporting on her situation, you'd think that maybe Christina would have taken some time out to either defend or criticize her estranged husband, or perhaps clarify whether or not she regularly trolled for girly strange, but NO. Instead, we get Xtina: Emotional victim. By the way, these photos are from October 14, a few days after the alleged "split lip" incident - Christina looks fine, right?

Christina Aguilera, on coping with the split: “It’s not easy, and there have been a lot of tears and sadness,” she said.

“It’s impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight. Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on. On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward.”

Now, maybe Xtina really is distraught. Maybe she's really going through a hard time and I should just be quiet. But this whole thing reads to me like Christina knows the tabloid stories aren't making her look like a "victim" so she just thought she'd emphasize it. I also think the stories are probably true - that she was having affairs during her marriage, and that she's now attached to Sam Ronson's Vadge of Doom.

Scarlett Johannson’s Mango promotional look: exhausted or cute?

God, I feel tired just looking at Scarlett Johansson in these photos. She was in Madrid to promote Mango, the co-sponsor of the Spanish Fashion Awards, because she's the corpsey face of the Mango label and has been for a couple of years. I usually hate her Mango ads because they tend to de-emphasize what is pretty about ScarJo, and leave her looking like some grey, frozen corpse, which I personally don't find attractive, and I don't think it helps sell clothes. So the idea was already in my head: ScarJo + Mango = Corpsey. So it's not shocking when she shows up at this event looking like hell.

Hell for ScarJo, obviously. Not the "hell" in which normal people often look like. She just looks exhausted, and this haircut - once considered cute - if kind of offensive in its badness now. It just looks like a stringy mess. ScarJo looks totally out of it too. Like she needs a nap. Shocking, because that's normally how I feel when I look at her. She's so… over-hyped.

I think I've mentioned in other posts that I recently saw Iron Man 2, but I don't think I've discussed my thoughts on ScarJo. Um… was anyone else expecting something completely different from her role? The way her part was being promoted and all of the hype around it, I thought she was going to have a major role, and she just didn't. She was just there until her big fight scene, and that was completely boring too, just boring in a different way. Ugh. I'm kind of over ScarJo.

Oksana Grigorieva has been boning her bodyguard for months

This is the latest from TMZ's "Oksana is always wrong, FOREVER" files. Apparently, Oksana's former bodyguard, a dude named Kristian Herzog, is now claiming that he and Oksana have been boning since May. Kristian was fired (I think) from his duties because he had a criminal history involving gun possession or something. Here is his website, The Bodyguard Group, and you can see that he's guarded many high-profile celebrities, though, so I don't get what that's about. Also: he's the big, beefy bald guy in these photos, and he looks like one of the Village People. Anyway, so Kristian and Oksana have been boning since May, and he has lots of texts and emails to back up his claim, and now he's going to write a book! Um, scandal? Oksana and Mel have been broken up since January/February… so she could bone anyone she wanted. I guess the scandal is that Kristian is going to "tell all" about what Oksana is "really" like?

Oksana Grigorieva's bodyguard had an intimate relationship with O.G. since May, and he’s writing a tell-all book that he says will rock the case.

Kristian Herzog — who was recently ordered to stay away from Lucia because of a criminal record involving guns — is telling people connected with the case he was Oksana’s boyfriend for months and still communicates with her on a daily basis.

Herzog is saying he has more than 1,000 text messages and more than 1,000 emails in which he communicates with Oksana about every detail of the case — Mel Gibson, evidence, witnesses, legal strategy and major conflicts between the players.

Herzog certainly had access — we know he was present during virtually every meeting Oksana had with her lawyers.

As for how Herzog can write a book — we’re told he never signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Suri Cruise will always be under-dressed, no matter what

These are new photos of Suri Cruise on the LA set of Jack & Jill with her mom, Katie Holmes. Katie and Suri seem to be staying in LA while Tom is in Europe, filming Mission: Impossible 4 with his boys. ZOMG SPLIT?!? Eh. I think that after however many years together (five?), Tom and Katie are at the point where they're just letting each other live their own lives. I don't think Katie gives a sh-t anymore. And Tom… well, I think Tom just has other priorities. Anyway, back to Suri. Her hair is getting so long! And I think her little jumper is adorable, and I LOVE that she's wearing little sneakers with the laces pulled out. Kanye is gonna steal this look.

However - everyone is saying that it's kind of chilly in LA right now, and Suri should have more clothes on, et cetera. But they always say that about her. She hates coats. And her parents always have to carry a blanket around so that they can cover her up with something. At this point, Suri is so consistently under-dressed, I think that she's just one of those people who "runs hot" as we say in the South. My mom is like that - she's always running a low-grade fever, and she always keeps her house like an ice box. Whatever.

Also, many, many outlets are running a story about how Tom is paying $6000 for Suri's pretty princess gown for Halloween, complete with jewels. I wrote that story up weeks ago! Copycats.

Jennifer Lopez makes her “sexyface” in cute new Gucci ads with her twins

These are the slightly decent-quality ads from Jennifer Lopez's new ad campaign for Gucci - she stars in the ads with her twins, Max and Emme. This is the twins' modeling debut! I think Emme is the one with the full head of curly hair. Now, I'm not saying that Jennifer's babies were in any way unattractive a year ago, but I will say that the babies have really grown into their looks, and they are now quite adorable. Right? I can see Jennifer in them now. So cute. And this ad campaign is working in conjunction with Gucci's continued support of UNICEF:

Shot by Mert and Marcus in Malibu, the amazing shots show the family hitting the beach, with little Max and Emme clad in their Gucci finest.

The new collection will be available in two age ranges, from 0-2 years, and 2-8 years, and will include everything from sunglasses to shoes, blankets and clothing.

Naturally, mum wasn’t missing out in the stylish action, and looks stunning in a selection of Gucci ready-to-wear.

To coincide with the launch, Gucci continues its support UNICEF and has pledged to donate $1 million to its schools for Africa initiative, with $250k of the pledge in la Lopez’s name.

“It’s the first time I have worked with my kids in that way,” Lopez, 40, tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now). “It was a totally special experience.”

In honor of the collection (with pieces ranging from $80 to $1,600, in stores in November), Gucci donated $1 million to UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative and $50,000 to Lopez's charity the Maribel Initiative, which promotes greater access to health care for women and children worldwide.

“It’s exactly why I’m excited to be a part of this,” says Lopez, who admits she and husband Marc Anthony were hesitant to have their kids participate until they learned of the charity connection. “Now there are two Gucci spokesbabies for a beautiful cause!”

Lopez tells Us the twins “had fun” posing.

“I did a photo shoot when they were 3 weeks old, but now that they are 2 1/2, it's totally different!” Emme is already showing signs of a fashionista.

Says mom, "Emme picks out her own outfits and likes to sleep in her princess dress.” As for her son, Lopez admits, “It's hard to get Max dressed. He prefers to run around the house with no clothes on.”

Was Christina Aguilera a battered wife before her split?

Radar has an extremely weird story about Christina Aguilera today. According to this report, just days before Christina filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman, she was admitted to the hospital with suspicious-looking injuries, including a split-lip, which needed stitches. Jordan went with her to the hospital, and he told the nurses that Christina had "fallen down." Now, Radar doesn't really spell it out (probably out of fear of being sued), but the insinuation is heavy - was Christina an abused woman? Or was she just clumsy (drunk?) and she really did "fall down"? Or did none of this really happen?

Christina Aguilera made a late-night trip to a Los Angeles hospital in the days leading up to her divorce from husband Jordan Bratman, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

“Christina was bleeding from her mouth and had a bit of a busted lip,” a source, who saw the couple at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said. “Jordan told the nurses she had fallen down.”

According to the witness, Aguilera was sporting “bumps and red bruises” along with her bloodied lip.

“Shortly after they arrived to Cedars, Christina’s ‘private surgeon’ arrived to put a few stitches in her lip,” the source added.

Adding to the mystery of why the singer needed treatment, on October 12, she was photographed wearing a hat pulled down over her face with what appears to be a small cut below her lower lip. That is the same day that she and Bratman announced the end of their five-year marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Aguilera’s rep had no comment when contacted by RadarOnline.com. The 29-year-old superstar asked for joint legal and physical custody of their two-year-old son Max and for any spousal support to be terminated. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the couple had an open marriage that, according to source, led to jealousy within their relationship.

“My understanding was that Jordan wasn’t involved when she [Christina] brought girls home, so maybe the divorce is because Jordan’s jealousy got the best of him,” the source told RadarOnline.com.

Since her breakup, the Beautiful singer has been leaning on close friends like Samantha Ronson for emotional support.

Christina and Sam grew closer as her marriage crumbled and eventually Jordan found himself unnecessary in his wife’s life.

I have mixed feelings about this - it's not like Christina has come out and tried to talk about this incident, or even explain the reasons for her split. Yes, it's none of our business, but the tabloids have been running a series of stories that put Christina in a negative light, what with her trolling for strange (but only with girls), and now maybe-probably hooking up with Samantha Ronson, whose vagina seems Xanadu for the land of misfit toys. Is it possible this story is a strategic leak? Sure. But I'll also give Christina the benefit of the doubt - her childhood was abusive, and she might have fallen into a similar pattern in adulthood. I have no idea.

Kate Moss’s new flat-ironed bangs/fringe: cute or tragic?

Don't ask me why, but I think Kate Moss has been looking like ten kinds of hell lately. Every time I breeze through photos of her, she looks like she's either coked out of her mind, or coming down off of a three-day crackhead bender. It's not about aging either - she could totally be an attractive, even beautiful woman as she gets closer to 40 years old. Her f-cked up appearance is, I believe, because she's still doing loads of really hard drugs. Anyway, Kate is in the news today because she just gave herself some bangs, or "fringe". I barely noticed the difference on my first glance, because… this isn't the first time she's had bangs, right? It's just the first time in several years. Even though the bangs look flat-ironed (are they?!?), I think they look okay. That's saying a lot for me - I have bangs trauma. I hate bangs on most adult women. But Kate has the rare face for some fringe.

In other Kate news, remember last week's news that she and her fiancé Jamie Hince had secretly wed in a cracked-out private ceremony? That news was later denied by Kate's publicist or something. But look! Kate is wearing something that looks like a wedding band:

So is she really married and she doesn't want anyone to know? What's the point?

GQ defends their too-sexy Glee photoshoot

Yesterday we heard that a parents’ advocacy group had condemned GQ for their overly sexualized photoshoot of Glee stars Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Corey Monteith. The photoshoot, by known predator Terry Richardson, took place in a high school with the actors posed suggestively and dressed in skimpy clothing to look like their teenage characters. It wasn’t appropriate, and the The Parents Television Council called out GQ and Glee for putting it out there, writing that “it borders on pedophilia.” Instead of acknowledging the mistake or at least accepting that there are parents who would be concerned by this, the editor GQ issued a defiant response indicating that it’s everyone else’s problem if they’re offended:

“The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy,” Jim Nelson, editor-in-chief of GQ, said. “As often happens in Hollywood, these ‘kids’ are in their twenties. Cory Montieth’s almost 30! I think they’re old enough to do what they want.”

I guess that’s what you can expect from the editor of a men’s magazine, but it’s still disappointing. Meanwhile 24 year-old Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray on Glee, has written a response on her blog to the controversy. Agron also appeared in the shoot, but she wore a little more clothing than her co-star Lea Michele and didn’t look as into the whole thing. She basically wrote that she was just doing her job and that while she wouldn’t have picked that particular setting or theme it’s not like she was going to walk out. She also apologized to everyone who took issue with the photos and said she understood their concern, which is more than the editor of GQ saw fit to do:

In the land of Madonna, Britney, Miley, Gossip Girl, other public figures and shows that have pushed the envelope and challenged the levels of comfort in their viewers and fans…we are not the first. Now, in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?

I was a very sheltered child, and was not aware of anything provocative or risque in the media while I was navigating through my formative years. When I was finally allowed to watch a movie like Grease, I did not even understand what on earth Rizzo was talking about!? I understand that in today's world of advanced technology, the internet, our kids can be subject to very adult material at the click of a button. But there are parental locks, and ways to get around this. I am twenty-four years old. I have been a pretty tame and easy-going girl my whole life. Nobody is perfect, and these photos do not represent who I am. I am also not the girl who rolls out of bed with flawless makeup and couture clothing. I am most comfortable with my hair thrown on top of my head, in sweats, laughing with my friends. Glee is a show that represents the underdogs, which is a feeling I have embraced much of my own life, and to those viewers, the photos in GQ don't give them that same feeling. I understand completely.

For GQ, they asked us to play very heightened versions of our school characters. A 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' version. At the time, it wasn't my favorite idea, but I did not walk away. I must say, I am trying to live my life with a sharpie marker approach. You can't erase the strokes you've made, but each step is much bolder and more deliberate. I'm moving forward from this one, and after today, putting it to rest. I am only myself, I can only be me. These aren't photos I am going to frame and put on my desk, but hey, nor are any of the photos I take for magazines. Those are all characters we've played for this crazy job, one that I love and am so fortunate to have, each and every day. If you asked me for my dream photo shoot, I'd be in a treehouse, in a wild costume, war-paint and I'd be playing with my pet dragon. Until then…..

She sounds so mature and well spoken. I don’t know much about Agron and have only read a brief profile of her in Vanity Fair. I do wonder if someone else wrote this statement for her. Either way it’s very well put. It also helps explain why her fashion is so hit or miss. Lea Michele may rule the red carpet, but it’s Agron who is winning us over with her attitude.
