BOSSIP Exclusive: Idris Elba’s Baby’s Mom Revealed…Details Including Her Occupation Inside!! Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:41 AM PDT Sources have exclusively revealed to BOSSIP that Idris Elba not only has a daughter with his ex-wife, but he also has a 6 month old son by Desiree Newberry, the young lady photographed above. Desiree, better known as Desi or Dezi, met Idris while working as a stripper at the infamous Magic City in Atlanta. According to our source, Elba moved a pregnant Newberry to his place in Miami and took care of her for a while before deciding to kick her out. After her “short-lived” living situation with Idris, Desi was forced to go back to stripping to support her son and is currently working at King of Diamonds (KOD) in Miami. More details to come, but in the meantime, check out images of Desi for your viewing pleasure below: |
How Important Is Your Future? Let It Be Known Today! Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:25 AM PDT As we reminded you yesterday, today is election day across the United States. And while it’s not as glamorous, this election is just as, if not more, important than the historic election that put President Barack Obama in office. With all 435 seats in Congress up for re-election, the ballot you cast today will most definitely make a difference in the kinds of laws and legislations that will be passed between now and the next Presidential election in 2012. The majority of you, 37 out of 50 states, will also be choosing a new Governor. There are 37 U.S. Senators also up for re-election today. Regardless of who you plan on voting for, know that every voice matters. If you’re a Democrat, you should know that a “CNN Poll of Polls” compiled and released Monday indicates that 51 percent of likely voters would choose a Republican candidate for Congress. If you’re a Republican, you should know that those numbers don’t mean much everybody that is eligible to vote doesn’t make it to the polls. U.S. midterm voters choose who makes decisions that touch millions of American lives. These issues range from taxes and national security to Social Security benefits and Medicare. And the decisions made in each state can have widespread effects on everyone in the country. Everything from education policy to health care and taxes goes through the U.S. House of Representatives, and which party is in control makes a big difference. The balance of power could hinge on who gets elected governor in states far from yours. We’re not here to tell you who to vote for. We’re simply asking you to exercise the right that so many people have died for you to have. Polls in most states are open from 7am to 7pm. If you’re not sure where to go or what to bring with you, there are several good resources online, like RaiseYourVote.com, that will give you all of that information, as well as let you know where to go vote. So get out there and take charge of your future. And remember: if you don’t vote, you can’t complain. |
Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:02 AM PDT On last night’s episode of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Kim Zolciak was a guest on Kandi’s sexy Ustream show “Kandi Koated Nights” and the topic at hand was CHEATING!!! It’s no secret that Kim was boo’d up with Lee Najjar for YEARS — yet when the subject of cheating came up Kim insisted that she wasn’t a cheater because she wasn’t married and she only knew what Big Poppa told her. She also argued that because Lee’s wife and kids live in Los Angeles, while he lived in Atlanta, it seemed to her that the marriage was over and that she was not destroying a happy home. Our question to you is — does it even matter whether or not it’s a happy home being broken up? Shouldn’t people (ahem Alicia Keys, Fantasia, Leann Rimes) have more respect for the law and in some cases — religion? Don’t they say — ‘What God has brought together let no man (or ho) tear asunder!’ Just sayin’… Then again it’s also been said that ‘All is fair in love and war.’ Is this an issue with any room for gray area — or is it a black and white thing where folks are either married or not? |
Bishop Long-Stroke’Em Finally (Kinda) Denies The Allegations Posted: 02 Nov 2010 04:54 AM PDT Bishop Eddie Gone-Wrong finally got his story together. And it only took a month and a half. The disgraced New Birth Missionary Church pastor and accused man-handler filed 30-page long responses to the four abuse allegations raised against him by his former “spiritual sons.” And he admitted that part of what they said was true.
Oh. So those hefty donations we’ve heard about are more like an investment? (Notice how he’s still admitting more than he is denying.)
We’re no legal experts, but we don’t think it should take 40-something days to tell the truth. We’re also a little suspicious of how everyone involved got super quiet about this whole situation. |

Rocsi And Free Are Going To Vote Tomorrow, Are You? [Video] Posted: 01 Nov 2010 05:02 PM PDT It’s been stressed before, but now that the 2008 Presidential Election showed the power of the young vote, a lot of organizations have put in a lot of resources to try to get people like you, our readers, to the polls. Tomorrow is “D-Day.” November 2 is mid-term election day across the country. And while most people pay a lot more attention to the Presidential Elections, this is your chance to have a say in what happens in your own backyard. The League of Young Voters Education Fund is one of the many groups urging you to get out there and cast your ballot tomorrow. They’ve enlisted the support of several recognizable faces to help get the message out. LYVEF has several additional resources available at both November2nd.org and 99Problems.org. And remember, if you’re anything other than a White Male landowner over the age of 45, people have fought to give you the right to vote! |
Posted: 01 Nov 2010 04:49 PM PDT We’ve heard it all before, but apparently Laura Govan has decided now is the right time to try and set the record straight about rumors that she and Shaq were gettin’ it in behind her “friend” Shaunie O’Neal and her fiance Gilbert Arenas’ back. In a new interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine Govan discusses her nine-year-relationship with Arenas, her master’s degree in psychology and her “REAL” reason for not joining the cast of “Basketball Wives”. Laura says that when Shaunie invited her on the show she recommended Gloria instead:
In the December issue of Sister 2 Sister, Laura denies the rumors of her and Shaq's affair and she also blames Shaunie for continuing to feed the frenzy over the story which she alleges both couples knew to be false (Gilbert denied the rumor on Twitter) and explains why she never called Shaunie. If you’re a “Basketball Wives” watcher, you know Shaunie talking much yang yang about Laura never calling her to clear the air. She also says they were not the “besties” that Shaunie and the show made them out to be. |
