Watch: The ‘Glee’ Version Of ‘Teenage Dream’

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 01:39 PM PDT

Earlier today we got our FIRST LOOK at Gwyneth Paltrow on the November 16 episode of Glee but right now we get our first look at one of the musical numbers for the next ep of Glee which will air next Tuesday November 9. In the ep, the Katy Perry song Teenage Dream gets the Glee treatment … and in this clip of the performance, we get to meet the guy who will become Kurt‘s boyfriend … check it out:

Okay … Katy Perry BUGS me to no end but I have to say, I kinda like the song Teenage Dream (which is catchy, and she had no part in writing at all) and I think it sounds really great sung by a bunch of male voices … so … well done, Glee.

As for the boyfriend … what do y’all think of Kurt‘s new man? HMMMM?

Miley Cyrus Gets Immortalized In Wax

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 01:32 PM PDT

Now … we’ve seen our fair share of wax statue effigies of quite a few celebrities here on Pink is the new Blog … some of them are amazingly lifelike and some of them are horrendously scary. A wax museum in Madrid, Spain called Museo de Cera has unveiled a wax statue of Miley Cyrus and, unfortch, it falls in the latter horrendously scary category … check it out:

Sorry for the nightmares, y’all. Eep!

The Brangelina Bunch Play In A Park In Budapest

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 01:23 PM PDT

Earlier this week we saw photos of Brad Pitt and his eldest sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien at the NYC premiere of his new film Megamind. Well, as soon as that premiere was over, Brad and the boys hopped on a plane and flew their bums back to Budapest, Hungary so that they could reunite with the rest of the family. Here are a few fun photos of Brad and Angelina Jolie with their children Pax, Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel at a very fun-looking park in Budapest earlier today:

Um … this looks like the COOLEST PARK EVER! None of the parks that I played in as a kid or have seen as an adult anywhere I’ve been looks as amazing as this park. In the US, parks are no longer allowed to have really tall slides or any equipment that can cause injury … primarily for legal reasons. I really love that this park in Budapest has zip-lining! Amazing. I bet the Brangelina bunch had a great time … as is plainly evident on Shiloh‘s really happy and adorable face :D

Lindsay Lohan Slips Out Of Rehab To Go Shopping

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 12:44 PM PDT

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve heard from or seen Lindsay Lohan out in public since she was ordered to spend the rest of the year in rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA last month. But … she’s back. Lindsay managed to get leave from her rehab center so that she could do a bit of shopping with a friend … and she made a beeline to Forever 21. An intrepid fellow shopper managed to snap a photo of Lindsay engaging in her retail therapy this week and RadarOnline has all the deets from her shopping excursion:

Lindsay Lohan got to indulge in a favorite pastime on Tuesday during a quick trip outside the walls of her rehab. The Mean Girls star headed to a nearby shopping center for some retail therapy, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. Lohan, who is currently in treatment at the Betty Ford Center, went to Forever 21 in Palm Desert, California with an unidentified female. “Lindsay came in two days ago with another young woman. Lindsay kept to herself, but was friendly. Lindsay bought a leopard sweater, a lot of pajama bottoms, and a ton of socks,” the store manager Tiffany Bennett told RadarOnline.com. “Her choices were for leisure wear. Lindsay spent about $200 total and she paid for the items herself.” Lohan’s shopping companion also did some damage, buying up around $300 worth of merchandise. “We were surprised that Lindsay was so low key,” Bennett said. “The only thing she asked us to do was to hold some of the items at the front until she was finished picking things out.” According to Bennett, the actress “looks really, really good” and added that locals often spot her at Starbucks. “She goes to the Starbucks next door all the time.”

HMMM … I guess it’s a bit surprising that Lindsay has free reign to leave her rehab facility whenever she likes to go clothes shopping or to grab a cup of coffee. My first thought is how easy it would be for her to procure other … substances … on these little excursions away from the rehab center should she choose to indulge. Let’s hope that Lindsay is really taking her sobriety seriously and these little jaunts are just innocent fun and nothing nefarious or dangerous is going on. What do y’all think … is it a good idea for Lindsay Lohan to be running around outside of rehab whenever she likes?

‘Fido’ The Right Thing

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 12:26 PM PDT

Last night I got together with Tam, Ollie, Rob and Caleb for an impromptu zombie movie party that we planned when we all hung out together last Monday night. For the most part, we kinda just hung out and talked but we did make some time to watch the hilariously funny zombie film Fido:

Apparently Fido wasn’t well revived when it was released in theaters back in 2006 because it wasn’t really promoted very well. Set in the 50′s, Fido tells the tale of a world where people keep zombies at pets/servants/whatever. It’s a pretty good movie and I think many people would’ve loved to have seen it in theaters but, again, I myself never knew it existed until last night. It’s worth seeking out … we all loved it.

I don’t have big plans for tonight just yet … I’m in desperate need of a haircut so I have to take care of that. I’m sure David and I will be able to think of something fun to do on our Friday night. It’s the weekend, y’all … have a great one!

Oprah Winfrey Previews Her Visit With Michael Jackson’s Mother, Father & Children

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 11:08 AM PDT

Last month we got our very first look at Oprah Winfrey‘s visit to the home of Michael Jackson‘s mother Katherine where she conducted an exclusive interview for The Oprah Winfrey Show. Earlier this week we got our first look at a promo image of Oprah with MJ‘s children Prince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince Michael Joseph, II aka Blanket from that ep of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Today we get to check out the first video footage released from the ep which will air here in the US on Monday November 8:

Their lives were shrouded in secrecy for most of their childhood, their identities a fiercely guarded secret behind masks enforced by their paranoid father. But since his death, Michael Jackson’s children have come out into the open, appearing at his televised funeral and enrolling in a normal school where they mix with other children. Now, Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, eight, have now taken the next step and are going public with an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey to be shown this Monday. It’s part of an ‘extensive’ chat the chat show queen has landed with the pop star’s mother Katherine. The children look remarkably happy, healthy and well-adjusted as they chat to Oprah just over a year since the death of their father stunned the world. In the sit-down, which was filmed at the Jackson home in Encino, California … Mrs Jackson will open up about the day the music icon died in June last year. The 80-year-old matriarch is also expected to reflect on Michael’s life as a child star. Her husband Joe appears along with their three grandchildren in a ‘backyard’ visit by Winfrey … There are online rumours that Harpo Productions are also trying to secure a taping with Debbie Rowe, the reclusive mother of Prince and Paris. Harpo has not commented on these claims. The highly anticipated interview is one of a string of sought-after exclusives produced by Harpo for Oprah’s final season.

Naturally, Oprah is NOT releasing too much footage from Monday’s episode just yet … but this quick tease is deffo worth seeing. Check it out, after the jump …

Dude … there is no way I’m not watching this interview. I can’t help but be HORRIBLY curious to hear what Katherine has to share about MJ‘s death and to hear what Papa Joseph Jackson has to say when Oprah questions him about MJ‘s feelings for him. But the biggest draw, of course, is Oprah‘s chat with Michael‘s 3 children. I honestly cannot wait to watch this episode of Oprah. Will YOU be tuning in as well?

‘Love And Other Drugs’ Premieres In Hollywood

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 10:45 AM PDT

Our dear Jake Gyllenhaal and his current leading lady Anne Hathaway strutted their stuff on the red carpet in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA last night for the premiere of their new film Love and Other Drugs, which opens in theaters here in the US on November 24. Here are a few photos of the couple lookin’ absolutely fabulous at their big event last night:

Anne Hathaway traded the classic little black dress for a tight white number at the Hollywood premiere of Love And Other Drugs tonight. The 27-year-old actress put her shape on show in the figure-hugging frock, which featured lace inset detailing and ruffled hips. She was joined on the red carpet by her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, who looked dapper in a sharp suit and tie. The pair, who starred in Brokeback Mountain together, play a pair of mismatched lovers who end up in bed for a large part of the movie. Gyllenhaal, 29, said he became ‘pretty intimate’ while filming nude scenes with Hathaway for the film. He said to UK’s Esquire magazine: ‘We talked about what we thought was sexy, about what were the things that interested us, and through the discussion became pretty intimate with each other.’ He added: ‘There’s something about the way Annie and I both work which is inherently very musical. It’s all about rhythm. There’s a rhythm to writing, there’s a rhythm to sports, there’s a rhythm to sex.’ ‘I was naked a lot in the movie. I was naked in more of it than was even in the final cut. A director’s cut? I don’t even know how that would be rated.’ For her part, Hathaway adds: ‘I don’t think there’s anything wrong with nudity in film, and I would hope that any actor that is asked to reveal that part of themselves has as loving and open an experience as we had.’

Um … HELLO, all we need to know about Love and Other Drugs is that Jakey poo is “naked a lot in the movie”. I mean, yeah, the man looks sharp as Hell when he’s all dressed up in suits but … the only suit I’m really interest in seeing him wear is his birthday suit. As I understand it, there is quite a bit of Jake‘s bare bum in the flick … I’m 1000% sold.

Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo Are Gettin’ Hitched!

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 10:31 AM PDT

Congratulations are in order for longtime couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo today … cuz the couple have officially announced that they are engaged to be married! La-Nessa have been together ever since Nick divorced Jessica and while Jess has run thru a string of suitors over the years, Nick and Vanessa have pretty much been one of the most stable couples in Hollywood. All these years later, I guess it’s time for the couple to say their I Dos:

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are taking their relationship to the next level: They’re getting hitched! “We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together,” the longtime couple announced in a joint statement. Lachey, 36, popped the question to Minnillo, 29, on Thursday “near a beach” in California, with an Asscher-cut diamond flanked with trapezoids from Bader & Garrin, a source tells PEOPLE. On Thursday afternoon, Lachey took to Twitter to write, “Hey all. If anyone’s heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love.” “They are very happy,” the source adds. “They make each other happy.”

Aww … yay! I’m so happy to hear that these two are finally ready to seal the deal and get hitched for real. You may recall that La-Nessa broke up for a short while in June of 2009 but they didn’t stay apart for long and have been happily attached ever since. I had a feeling these two would end up getting married someday … and, to be honest, I’m surprised it actually took this long. I can understand why Nick might be gun-shy about marriage considering how terribly his marriage to Jessica failed … but I think he and Vanessa will live a very long and very happy life together. Let’s send the happy couple our warmest congrats on a happily every after!

Alanis Morissette Has A Baby Shower . . . For Her Baby Boy

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 09:34 AM PDT

Pink reader Mark gives me the head’s up that the pregnantly plump Alanis Morissette was treated to a baby shower in Santa Monica, CA last week (before she and hubby Mario Souleye Treadway jetted off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on holiday last weekend) and photos from the shower make it clear that Alanis is expecting a baby boy. Here are a couple photos from Alanis‘s shower day and some deets from the party:

Singer Alanis Morissette celebrated her upcoming arrival with a baby shower … and it appears that the first time mother is going to be having a baby boy. The private soiree was held at a friend’s house in Santa Monica, California and friends and family all arrived with gifts wrapped in blue, with one gift bag exclaiming ‘It’s a Boy!’ on the front. Several hours into the celebrations, an assistant left the house carrying huge gift bags stuffed with presents – many of which were blue in colour. One even had ‘Baby Boy’ written on the front with pictures of trucks and boats, suggesting that Alanis and Mario have already revealed to their friends that their new arrival will be boy. The assistant loaded the gifts into the happy couple’s car before returning inside the party. Some of the gifts included stuffed animals, a diaper bag and Baby Bjorn rucksack carrier … The baby is due around Christmas time.

Squeeee! A boy … how exciting. I am quite confident that Alanis is going to be THE coolest mother ever and I cannot wait for her little man to grace us with his presence. If the baby is due “around Xmas” then we will be hearing about his birth very soon. It won’t be long now, y’all … baby Morissette-Treadway will be here before you know it. I.Can’t.Wait.

Conan O’Brien Talks To ‘Playboy’ Magazine

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 08:51 AM PDT

Conan O’Brien, who will premiere his new TBS late night talk show Conan on Monday November 8, gives the featured interview in the new issue of Playboy magazine. While Conan‘s appearance in Playboy does NOT include any nudie pics of the ginger comic, it does feature quite a bit of that Conan O’Brien charm that has endeared him to millions anxiously awaiting his return to late night TV. Here are a few excerpts from Conan‘s new Playboy magazine interview:

"I'm going for eight months on the air. All I want to do is break my Tonight Show record," says Conan O'Brien when talking about goals for his new show in Playboy's December Interview (on newsstands and available HERE on Friday, November 12). "I'm a guy who wants to say I did more push-ups today than I did the day before, and the good news is, I did only one push-up yesterday." After losing one of the most coveted jobs in comedy when NBC pulled the plug on Late Night, Conan went out with class by thanking the network, along with his staff, friends, family, and fans. It seems that his good spirits and positive attitude bought him many additional inquisitive viewers (ratings skyrocketed during his last few shows), an unofficial Facebook group dedicated to "Coco," and the greatest prize of all—his new show Conan, premiering Monday, November 8 on TBS. Playboy Contributing Editor Rob Tannenbaum caught up with O'Brien at his Burbank office, so new that it had little more than a desk, a few chairs, and a poster of his sidekick Andy Richter. "When I commented on the lack of décor," Tannenbaum says, "Conan's answer was, 'Everything in this office is designed to come down quickly, in case there's trouble and we need to get out of here.'" In the Interview, O'Brien talks about the shortcomings of his Irish heritage, paying people to watch his show, his need to please, and his old NBC cohort Jay Leno. Following are select quotes from the Interview:

On his impassionate parting Tonight Show speech, and whether he is bitter after the whole experience: "I wanted to end on an optimistic note. I thought it could end up being the most important moment of my television career. It still could be…I have had too many good things happen in my career to end on any kind of bitter note. I'm just saying this to you; we're alone in this office, and I don't have to say this: I am an incredibly fortunate person…And as crazy as this sounds, my career with NBC was overwhelmingly positive until this…The entertainment business has an amazing way of turning really lucky people into bitter, angry, rage-filled, jealous, resentful wretches who can't believe they got screwed. Some things have worked out great for me, some things haven't. You keep going…Doing those last Tonight Shows was a high. A lot of people tuned in, and I was really proud of what I was able to make in that situation. So this was good, this was bad, this was ugly, this was beautiful, this was f*cked-up, this was sublime. It was cherry, it was vanilla, it was frogurt, it was mocha chocolate chip."

On how close his new studio is to Jay Leno's, and whether or not they bump into each other: "We're in Burbank, and NBC is not far away…I think if I worked out and had help with hydraulics we could hit it with a tennis ball. [Leno is] a guy you hear coming a long way off. There aren't many three-cylinder engines in California that run on peat moss. And we hang out in different circles, so I don't think we'll be bumping into each other."

On inviting Jay Leno on his new show as a guest: "He can come as the musical guest, because that I want to see. No one knows he has an operatic range [sings as Jay Leno]. No, there are certain things I will not do, regardless of the price."

After the jump, read a few more excerpts from Conan‘s Playboy magazine interview …

On his new show Conan on TBS: "I don't want to get lost thinking how this show will be different from any other show I've done. Will I overthink it? Yes. Do I think I should? No. How's that? At the end of the day, it's going to be me doing whatever is in my power to entertain people for an hour. I'll break any rule. I'll use dangerous chemicals if I have to. I will meddle with the laws of God."

On why he wants another show so badly, after once saying "the pace will kill you": "The pace does kill you. You keep going back for that; there's no other explanation. There are probably 35 variables that make up a show…How's the audience, who are the guests, what mood am I in? Add all those things up, and you can never have back-to-back-to-back great shows. If you have a show that's less than great, you're desperate to have a great one. But when you have one you feel is great, you want that high again. And it's too late for me to become a neurosurgeon or a cobbler…So why keep doing it? I think there's this compulsion, the way a serial killer has to kill and kill again. Are these analogies helping me or hurting me? I'm just compelled to make people laugh—and then quickly move to another state where my DNA can't be traced."

On whether he feels like a comedy veteran after 17 years in the business: "I've actually been around long enough that when I look at a show from 1993 it looks ancient to me. Andy looks like a 13-year-old boy and I look like a 15-year-old girl. There's a whole generation now that has watched primarily reality television, and more and more they accept only comedy that looks like a real occurrence, whether it's The Office or Borat. They're suspicious of traditional comedy. Everything on YouTube is real—epic fail, guy falls down, Snooki gets punched. And so now there's this hypersensitivity to anything that's processed or fake."

On his Irish heritage: "Nobody cares if you make a disparaging comment about the Irish. It is the one ethnic group no one gives a sh*t about. 'Oh, those wife-beating drunks.' Irish people go, 'Yes! Ha-ha! We got mentioned.' They don't care."

On whether or not he drinks or has used drugs in the past: "I've tried pot, but it doesn't do much for me. And I'm not one of those people who gets high on life; life really does not get me high. The concept of me on cocaine is absurd. Here's a true story: I went to a doctor for a physical when I'd been on the air a couple of years, and he asked about drug use. I said, 'No.' He said, 'You don't do cocaine?' I said, 'No.' And he said, 'I've seen your show.' [laughs] He assumed I was coked up…I like to have a drink now. I like to have two drinks now. Two and a half to three drinks now. Five is just the right amount. Eight is perfect. Nine is too much, but then 10 is better and I become more focused, which is weird."

Conan O’Brien belongs on late night TV … he’s a very funny, extremely likable guy who you just want to root for and see succeed. In all honesty, I’m not a big fan of late night talk shows … even when Conan was on the air at NBC, I never tuned in with any regularity (usually, I would DVR eps just to watch the musical performances that I wanted to see on TV as opposed to on the computer). That will change when Conan hits the airwaves on Monday night. I really want to tune in and be a part of Conan‘s triumphant return to late night TV. We are just days away from the premiere of Conan. I am so already ready already.

‘Grimier’ Britney Spears Album Due For A Spring 2011 Release

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 08:09 AM PDT

Speaking at the Billboard Film & TV Music Conference this week, music producer Lukasz Gottwald (better known to the world as Dr. Luke) spoke publicly on the progress being made on Britney Spears‘s as-yet untitled new album! According to Luke (who will co-executive produce the album alongside longtime Spears collaborator Max Martin), Britney‘s new album will be “grimier” than her previous offerings … and will likely be released in the Spring of next year!!

Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, the producer behind pop smashes like Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” and Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” talked about the secrets to his chart achievements in a keynote Q&A at the Billboard Film & TV Music Conference. Of his many upcoming projects, the most anticipated might be Britney Spears’ follow-up to 2008′s “Circus,” which he is executive-producing alongside Max Martin. “She’s an icon,” Gottwald said of Spears. “She’s been around for a while and always delivers, so there’s a lot for us to live up to.” Dr. Luke, who co-produced and co-wrote the title track to “Circus,” said that he has not yet met with Spears to begin working on the album. However, the producer told the audience that he already has a few ideas in mind that will help shift the pop star’s musical style. “I want [the sound] to get harder in some ways,” said Gottwald, “and maybe a little more deep into electronic — grimier.” Spears has reportedly finished three new songs for the album, although Gottwald said that there’s no timetable for a release. “We’re early in the process,” he said.

Altho Dr. Luke doesn’t mention a Spring release in this article, a report from The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the timetable is to get Britney‘s album in stores next Spring:

The big draw of Thursday’s Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Conference was undeniably producer Dr. Luke, who not only packed the afternoon Q&A session moderated by ASCAP’s Randy Grimmett, but got bombarded by throngs of his own fans not a moment after the talk ended … he handled the unruly bunch with aplomb, but coming up next is perhaps his most stressful gig yet: as co-executive producer on Britney Spears’ forthcoming seventh studio album. Luke’s partner? Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, who’s been both a mentor and collaborator and has worked with Spears on and off since her 1999 Jive Records debut, …Baby One More Time. Dr. Luke contributed several tracks to 2008′s Circus … “She’s such an icon, I don’t want to let anyone down,” Dr. Luke told THR. “But most importantly, I want to make good music.” The LA-based Luke … says he’s just starting to wrap his head around the Britney album now. He anticipates it will be out in early 2011, while an insider tells THR, it will definitely hit stores before March 31, the end of Sony’s fiscal year. A Jive Records rep would not comment on a release date or confirm a timeline. Other producer-songwriters said to be working on it include Darkchild and, according to Luke, Montreal newcomer Billboard … [Says Dr. Luke,] “I’m excited to be co-executive producing with Max Martin, the person who kind of invented Britney, and to make good music. And she’s such an amazing vehicle to getting that music out to a lot of people in every country.”

At last … real news about Britney‘s new album that we can take to heart and wrap our heads around. Rumors spread like wildfire where Britney Spears is concerned, I’m glad to hear straight from the horse’s mouth what we can expect from Britney‘s next album … and when to expect it. I LOVE that Jive Records has paired Max Martin (a producer responsible for some of Britney‘s most iconic music) with Dr. Luke (the hottest producer in music right now responsible for the most infectious pop music on the air) for Britney‘s new album. The marriage of these two producers bodes very well for an amazing album of new material. OY! I cannot WAIT to hear more about the progress being made on Britney‘s album … Spring 2011 can’t get here soon enough for me.

Michael Jackson To Release His First Posthumous Album Of New Material

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 07:34 AM PDT

Great news Michael Jackson fans … the estate of the late King of Pop has announced that his first posthumous album of previously unreleased material is set for release on December 14. As you may know, it has been widely reported that MJ left a treasure trove of unreleased material in the care of his estate executors to be released after his death as a legacy for his 3 children. Not counting the soundtrack to Michael Jackson presents This Is It (the soundtrack to the behind-the-scenes concert film This Is It which only included one new track and was released last year, just months after his death), this new album is the first collection of previously released material to be released since MJ‘s death in June of 2009. Titled simply Michael, here is our first look at the album art:

The much anticipated album of newly completed recordings from Michael Jackson entitled MICHAEL will be released on December 14 by Epic Records in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson. [On Friday, November 6] an exclusive teaser for the project will appear on www.michaeljackson.com; on Monday, November 8th the world premiere of "Breaking News," a full track from the album, will stream on the site for one week only. The creative process never stopped for the King of Pop who was always planning for his next album; unbeknownst to many fans around the world Michael Jackson was writing and recording songs continuously everywhere from a friend's home in New Jersey to studios in Las Vegas and Los Angeles with a small group of handpicked collaborators. Now, through the unique stories that will be told about the songs that comprise MICHAEL, fans will get mind-blowing insight into how this artist worked and a chance to hear the songs he most recently created along with tracks that Michael had a desire to bring to fruition. "Breaking News," a never heard before song by Michael that appears on the new album was recorded in New Jersey in 2007 and recently brought to completion. Fans can begin pre-ordering the album on www.michaeljackson.com in the next 24 hours. The … image of the album cover of MICHAEL was created by painter Kadir Nelson in 2009. In the oil painting, Kadir – who is known for story telling through his art – takes us on a journey through some key moments and important people in Michael Jackson's life. Stay tuned for the worldwide launch of the official first single from MICHAEL later this month.

I know there are many MJ fans out there very excited to hear this new material … and to be honest, I’m terribly curious myself. But, not everyone is happy this album is being released. The Jackson family has announced that they doubt very seriously the validity that this “new music” from Michael Jackson was recorded by MJ … they are insisting that this new collection of music was NOT recorded by MJ at all:

Two of Michael Jackson’s children are adamant — some of the soon-to-be released MJ song tracks are frauds. As we have been reporting, Sony will be releasing a Michael Jackson album before Christmas, featuring 10 – 12 original tracks. We’re told 5 of the tracks were recorded at the New Jersey home of record producer Eddie Cascio. Michael and his kids stayed at Cascio’s family home for 4 months in 2007, when the tracks were recorded, along with remixes that were released on the Thriller 25 Album. The Jackson family believes the Cassio tracks in question were fakes — sung by a Michael Jackson sound-alike. We’re told Prince says he was upstairs at the Cascio’s house when many of the tracks were recorded and was able to hear the music, and none of what he heard matches the Sony tracks. We’re also told Paris is “adamant” — she does not believe her dad’s voice is on the tracks in question. But the estate claims there are sound experts who say conclusively the tracks are the real deal. People connected with the Sony project believe the kids are being “manipulated” by Katherine Jackson and other family members who don’t want the album released.

Sony Music, naturally, vehemently denies that the songs are fakes and are moving forward with the album’s release. While I’m more a fan of the music MJ created back in the 80′s (and I understand there is some material from that era that is meant to be released sometime in the future), I am REALLY curious to hear the music that MJ intended for his next album. If YOU would like to preorder the album Michael, you can do so HERE. My guess is that the album will be available for purchase at all the usual outlets but … I guess if you want to get the jump on preordering, you can do so now. What do y’all think … are you excited by the release of his new Michael Jackson album?
