Leah Messer and Corey Simms' Divorce: It's Official

Posted: 17 Apr 2011 10:30 AM PDT

Although I was hoping against hope that Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Messer and Corey Simms were not getting divorced, it’s increasingly looking true. According to the West Virginia Gazette’s register of official documents, Leah did file for divorce last week. Though the couple’s wedding didn’t air on MTV until this month, it actually took place last October, which means they’ve been married about six months. Sources tell Crushable that the two have been fighting for some time and posted angry messages on each others’ private Facebook walls, which were later removed. This information corroborates what In Touch Weekly reported last week, which is that Leah and Corey were fighting over who was entitled to the paychecks from MTV and that Corey had withdrawn a large sum of money from their joint bank account to pay for a new truck. (You’ll remember Corey crying on Leah’s 16 and Pregnant episode because he had to sell his truck.)

Though Leah’s costar Kailyn Lowry denied the divorce rumors on her Twitter account, both Leah and Corey had remained silent, leading many to believe that the accusations were true. I know it’s stupid to care this much about two teenagers who have a reality show, but I have to commend MTV’s editors for really making me think that this couple was going to make it. I assume season 2 of Teen Mom 2 is going to deal with Corey and Leah’s split, as well as decisions about custody for twins Aliannah and Aleeah.

Taylor Armstrong is the Hot Mess of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season Two

Posted: 16 Apr 2011 12:26 PM PDT

The colossal new hit that was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just ended, but already we can’t wait for season two! Thankfully, all of the six original Beverly Hills ladies signed back on for season two, and, allegedly, one more housewife is joining the cast. Reports speculate that the newest housewife is between Faye Resnick (the “morally corrupt” Faye Resnick, who Camille Grammer insulted at her dinner party, when she asked her about posing for Playboy after testifying at the OJ Simpson trial) and Ayda Field, who is an actress and also the wife of singer Robbie Williams.

Apparently, the hot mess of this season isn’t Kim Richards or even Camille; it’s Taylor Armstrong. We witnessed Taylor’s marriage deteriorating in the first season, and Taylor has said that they entered therapy after watching their relationship on the show. A source says that Taylor and her husband, Russell, are still fighting, and got into a loud argument at a restaurant recently. This same source told Hollywood Life, "Taylor's a sweet girl, but the housewives are all starting to get a little bit worried about her erratic behavior recently. She's not acting like herself." Daily Mail also reported that many people are concerned for Taylor’s health, as the already very skinny housewife recently lost about 20 pounds and is looking “borderline anorexic.” A weight loss expert guessed that she probably now weighs about 110 pounds.

I  hope that things improve with Taylor and Russell’s marriage, and, at the very least, she will be healthy and won’t lose any more weight. Real Housewives turns sad when you get to see glorified housewives dealing with real-life difficult problems. But, then again, that’s the beauty of reality TV.

The Royal Wedding Lifetime Movie Needs A Drink(ing Game)

Posted: 17 Apr 2011 08:45 AM PDT

On April 18, William & Kate, the Lifetime movie about a wedding that hasn’t even happened yet, will premiere in both the United States and Britain. So what are you going to do about it? Drink, of course! In celebration, our friends at HowAboutWe have come up with a commemorative drinking game to be reserved specifically for this occasion. Highlights include:

Anytime Kate cries, take a sympathy sip.
If the Queen comes onscreen, stand up and take a drink.
Anytime Harry comes onscreen and completely upstages his brother, take a shot, cause at least they made something accurate.
When William gets down on one knee and proposes to Kate with his mother’s ring, drink all the remaining alcohol and despair because that will never happen to you and you will never be a princess.

HowAboutWe did such a magnificent job with the rules of the game that we’re not really sure we can top them. However, we CAN offer a few fortifying cocktails to add to the two that HowAboutWe suggests. In addition to the Princess Kate Fizz and the Belvedere Vodka Wedding Punch, why not add one of these into the mix?:

Colour Me Royal:
3/4 oz (22 mL) Tanqueray Dry Gin
1/2 oz (15 mL) Maraschino Liqueur
1/2 oz (15 mL) fresh lemon juice
1 bar spoon Blue Curacao

Shake all ingredients (except Blue Curacao) hard and strain into chilled martini glass. Slowly pour Blue Curacao down the inside of the glass to lie at the bottom.

Regal CV:
2 oz Chambord Flavored Vodka
3/4 oz simple syrup
3 slices of cucumber (skin on)
3 fresh raspberries
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

Muddle the raspberries, cucumber, and simple syrup. Add to a shaker with lemon juice and Chambord Flavored Vodka. Add ice and shake vigorously. Double stain into a martini glass or a large coupe glass and garnish with raspberries.

Monice’s Shrine:
1.5 oz No. 3 gin
.75 oz elderflower liqueur
1 oz ruby grapefruit juice
.5 oz lemon juice
A float of sparkling wine

Shake & serve up.

The Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Spring Break-Up

You’ve got to hand it to the Degrassi writers; we know the new crop of characters well enough, and they (the writers) have set up enough juicy plotlines, that it’s exciting to watch it all come to a head. “Drop the World, Part 1″ had Holly J trying to break up with Sav, Fiona’s secret coming to the surface, Eli going crazy about his ex, Jenna and K.C. arguing about their impending parenthood, and Clare fearing for her life.
