Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Make Their Way To Brazil

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 01:11 PM PDT

Twilight co-stars and rumored lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have made their way to Brazil to film new scenes for the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Those of you familiar with the books know that vampire Edward Cullen (Pattinson) and human-turned-vampire Bella Swan (Stewart) get married and go on their honeymoon in Breaking Dawn. It looks like R. Pattz and K. Stew are in Brazil to film those honeymoon scenes … which, if memory serves, will include a fairly racy sex scene:

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arrived in Rio yesterday to continue filming the final instalment of the Twilight series. Wearing her usual getup of skinny jeans and a jacket, Kristen looked comfortable yet chic whilst Rob kept it low-key in beige trousers and a jacket. The couple were surrounded by security as they made their way through the airport, and in typical fashion avoided any public display of affection. Filming on the movie officially began three days ago in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. And it looks like the pair are in for a steamy time, as they will be filming Edward and Bella’s honeymoon scenes on the Isle of Esme.

While I wasn’t particularly impressed with any of the Twilight books I have to say that I really did not like the final book, Breaking Dawn. For me, the strength of the book series is found in the relationship between human Bella and her forbidden love for vampire Edward. Once she becomes a vampire and they have the freaky sex and really freaky baby birth, well, the whole thing kinda goes to shizz. That being said, I can’t help but be curious to see how they end up bringing the strange tale developments in Breaking Dawn to life. Is that wrong? I can’t be alone in my belief that Breaking Dawn is terrible, right? Are you looking forward to seeing the film get made?

‘Mind Stealers From Outer Space’

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 12:56 PM PDT

Last night ended up being a pretty quiet one for me. After a quick trip to get my hair did, I ended up staying in for the night. David and I talked about going to see a movie but it got kinda late and I got caught up in watching a Season 2 two-part episode of Wonder Woman titled Mind Stealers from Outer Space:

Desipte the fact that I had not seen this two-part episode since it first aired back in the late 70′s, I still vividly remembered much of the plot. Wonder Woman battled alien invaders called The Skrill and managed to foil their plan to steal the minds of the most intelligent human beings on Earth. For the most part, WW battled human villains but sometimes the producers would throw in some aliens and some horrible special FX to mix things up for a bit. As a kid, I loved every second of shizz like this … but what I can’t understand is how adult viewers were able to stomach the cheesiness. I’m just glad that shows like Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Buck Rogers in the 21st Century and more introduced us to the fun of Sci-Fi ridiculousness at such a young age. I still have quite a few WW eps to get thru before I start watching The Bionic Woman Season 1 on DVD :)

Today, we are getting out of the house. David has been sick all week long and he has gotten stir crazy … not sure the plan just yet but I’m sure we’ll think of something fun to do. Happy Saturday!

Matthew Morrison Reports For ‘Glee’ Duty

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 11:36 AM PDT

Glee star Matthew Morrison was spotted in Glendale, CA yesterday casually sauntering his way to the set to film new scenes for an upcoming episode of the show. As you can see, Matthew was jammin’ out to a song which he was prolly still learning for the scene:

It’s hard to tell what’s going on in the crotch department of Mr. Morrison‘s pants but it looks like he’s packin’ a fairly large-sized iPod or something … also, his hand is jammed pretty far into his pocket … all around, it looks like he’s having himself a fun time. Get ‘er done, Mr. Shue!

Rihanna Flips On The Xmas Lights In London

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 10:49 AM PDT

Rihanna made an in-person appearance at a Westfield Shopping Centre in London, England this week to do the honors of turning on the Xmas lights to officially kick off the Xmas shopping season. Yes folks, it is apparently Xmas time already. Ri Ri, with red Kool-Aid hair blazin’, rocked the red carpet before she did any actual light switch flipping … behold:

Pop star Rihanna said she loves London and wants a house in the capital as she switched on the Christmas lights at a shopping centre. Wearing a red silk skirt, grey corset and a white bow in her hair, the singer cheered as the lights marked the official launch of the festive season. She was joined on stage at the Westfield shopping centre in London’s Shepherd’s Bush by children from charity Help a London Child. Barbados-born Rihanna, 22, said she “loves Christmas time” because she “loves gift-wrapping” presents for family and friends. “I’m very excited to be in London, and surprised that so many people have turned out to see me. I love London, maybe one day I’d like to have a home here,” she added. Hundreds of red roses and dazzling pyrotechnic displays lined the stage where Rihanna was joined by TV presenter George Lamb.

Despite the fact that a great many of us, me included, ARE NOT READY FOR XMAS just yet it would seem that we are being steamrolled right into the holiday season whether we like it or not. The huge Xmas tree has already been put in place at The Grove here in LA and I’m pretty sure that cities all over the world are hoping to squeeze as much money as they can out of Xmas this year and are also jumping the gun on Xmas ’10 as well … but … I digress. After the jump, check out video from Rihanna‘s Xmas lights ceremony in London this week and try to get into the Xmas spirit — I guess …

It does look like it was a fun event for everyone who came out … tho, I’m bummed that they didn’t even give Rihanna a fake light switch to flip to make it seem like actually did anything but stand there. I am so not into Xmas just yet but … at least it looks like some folks are already excited to celebrate Xmas this year.

Sandra Bullock & Louis Bardo Take Manhattan

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 10:24 AM PDT

Sandra Bullock and her adorable little boy Louis Bardo have been spending some time in NYC this week, presumably enjoying a change of scenery together. The pair have been jetting all over the South and Southwest recently and I believe this is their first trip to NYC together as a new family. Here is a cute pic of Sandra carrying little Louis in her arms as she rushed out of a home furnishings store and thru a waiting group of paparazzi:

LOVE the Adidas track jacket outfit that Louis is rockin’ in these photos. He is an absolute doll. Sandra looks like she was in a hurry to get someplace quick … probably as far away from the photogs as possible. It’s curious that she was shopping for home furnishings … it’s possible she was looking for things to bring home to New Orleans, LA … or, it’s possible she lookin’ to spruce her up NYC pad for an extended stay. It’ll be gettin’ real cold in NYC very soon so, yeah, if I were her I’d enjoy my time in the Big Apple for a while and then get my buns back home to warmth of the deep South.

First Listen: Michael Jackson, ‘Breaking News’

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 09:53 AM PDT

While Katherine Jackson is off releasing a previously unreleased Michael Jackson song of her own, Sony Music is giving us a wee taste of the first single to be released from the late Michael Jackson‘s first posthumous album of new material (which, it was announced this week, will hit stores on December 14). Altho the new single, titled Breaking News, won’t be released in full until Monday, today we get to enjoy a sneak preview of the “new” single:

Now, bear in mind, this is just a tiny taste of the song. Sony posted a short promo video clip of the song on it’s official Michael Jackson website that features no actual vocals … just a video montage lead-in into an instrumental part of the track. Listen to it in full, after the jump …

We won’t know until we hear the track in full if the song sounds like Michael Jackson or not (Katherine and members of the Jackson family do NOT think the song is a genuine MJ song) but I’m pretty sure Sony Music knows what it’s doing with the collection of MJ songs they now own. It’ll be interesting to see if Katherine will continue to release MJ music herself to compete with the releases to come from Sony Music. There may be a huge onslaught of new music from Michael Jackson very soon.

Listen: Michael Jackson, ‘Opis None’

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 08:54 AM PDT

Yesterday we learned that Sony Music and the estate of Michael Jackson announced the release of an entire album of new material from the late King of Pop titled simply Michael, scheduled to hit stores on December 14. As I mentioned, members of the Jackson family (including MJ‘s mother Katherine) doubt the validity of the songs selected for release and do not believe they are actual MJ songs (Sony insists that their voice experts have verified that the songs are, in fact, sung by Michael Jackson). In retaliation to the release of this new album of previously unreleased material, Katherine has authorized the FREE release of a MJ song that she owns as part of the Jackson Secret Vault collection … the song is titled Opis None and, Katherine claims, is 100% Michael Jackson:

As you may recall, Katherine released earlier this year a coffee table book of photographs of Michael Jackson that were previously unseen. Apparently, she also owns around 300 unreleased MJ songs as well. This track, Opis None, is from that collection of songs and it is believed that Katherine authorized the release of this song as a genuine MJ song to oppose the collection of songs Sony is planning to release which she does NOT believe are genuine songs. Wanna hear Opis None? Listen in full, after the jump …

Says Howard Mann, Katherine‘s business partner in the Jackson Secret Vault company, “In an effort to overcome the confusion as to the authenticity of the track the estate has recently released we want to give an actual authentic Michael Jackson track to the world … for free.” At just over 12 minutes long, this song sounds more like an extended remix instead of a proper single … but, then again, Michael Jackson never was one for convention. What do y’all think of this track? It deffo sounds like Michael Jackson to me, no doubt, but … is it a good song?
