First Look: The Set Of ‘Conan’

We are mere hours away from the premiere of Conan O’Brien‘s new late night talk show Conan which will debut on TBS tonight at 11pm ET/PT but right now, TMZ brings us our first look at the set of Conan … behold:


As you can see, the backdrop of Conan’s new show features a HUGE full moon … at least in this photo. It’s unclear if that moon will stay up each night but, yeah, it’s a big moon. The rest of the stage looks a bit circa 70′s swanky, don’tcha think? I cannot wait to see it in action TONIGHT when Conan premieres! Will you be tuning in?

Lindsay Lohan Wants To Open Her Own Rehab Center

Dina Lohan, mother of the currently rehabbing Lindsay Lohan who enjoyed a visit with her estranged father over the weekend, made an appearance on The Today Show on NBC earlier today to give a follow-up interview from the last time she appeared on The Today Show to talk about the last time Lindsay was in rehab. As you can imagine, Dina‘s interview was pretty bad but, in all honesty, it wasn’t as horrendous as the interview she did back in August. There was a wide range of topics discusses in this interview, including Dina‘s assertion that Lindsay hopes to one day open a rehab center of her own for troubled youth:

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan plans to open her own rehab facilities once she’s completed her drug treatment, according to her mother DINA. The 24-year-old Mean Girls star is currently serving three months at the Betty Ford Clinic in California after failing two mandatory drug tests in September and violating her probation. But the stint is working wonders for Lohan and, during an appearance on America’s The Today Show on Monday, her mum hailed the treatment as a “life-changing” experience for her daughter. It is Lohan’s fifth time in rehab. And the matriarch revealed the actress wants to found her own facility upon her release in January to benefit at-risk children. Dina Lohan said: “She wants to start her own facilities, help other children. She’s so public, we can only be positive and look to the future to help other families.”

This is absolutely the biggest bunch of bullshizz I have ever heard in my life. The idea that Lindsay Lohan would EVER have anything to do with the successful rehabilitation of anyone is beyond comical … it’s actually more delusional than anything else. It’s as if Dina Lohan is physically incapable of saying anything worth listening to. I can’t even … I mean … INSANITY! I’m telling you, the entire Lohan family would be much more tolerable if they all just went away. If any of them cared in the least for Lindsay‘s true health and well-being then they would all go away together to a cabin in the woods, or up on a mountain top in Tibet or to the other side of the Moon and just go away forever. Alas … the Lohans will never go away. As long as Dina can exploit her children, she will be on our TV screens for years to come. Ugh. But, I digress. Getting back to the topic at hand … do YOU think you would EVER go to a rehab center that was in any way associated with anyone in the Lohan family?

David Beckham Is Reportedly Launching His Own Line Of Underwear

David Beckham, who famously wrapped his bulge in Emporio Armani Underwear as the company’s spokesmodel last year, has decided to wrap his bulge in something a bit more personal to him. According to new reports, Becks has decided to launch his own line of underwear so that his fans and admirers can wrap their bulges in his goods. Ahem. Here are the deets about this exciting new prospect:

David Beckham is planning to get to the bottom of the fashion industry by releasing his own range of underwear. The soccer hunk fronted an underwear campaign for Emporio Armani last year, which saw him strip off in a series of racy adverts. He also starred in a promo with wife Victoria Adams for the brand – and now the sports star is set to follow in the footsteps of his fashion designer spouse by creating his own line of underpants. A source tells Britain’s News of the World, “David is 35 and knows he won’t be playing football (soccer) forever. But he’s an icon for men all over the world and he wears pants like no one can – so makes sense for him to launch his own.” David Beckham was later replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo by Armani, and Victoria was replaced by Megan Fox.

Thank you sweet baby Jebus for this! I mean … I can’t even wrap my head around the notion of being able to buy and wear David Beckham‘s underwear … I mean, not his actual underwear underwear but a line of underwear that he has designed and presumably will model. Oh yes, this sounds like a Beckham business venture that I would HAPPILY endorse, support and give my money to and I’m certain there are many others who would do the same. To be honest, I’m not sure if I totally believe this report (after all, News of the World isn’t a bastion of journalist integrity) but it sure sounds like a great idea to me. What do y’all think … would YOU pay good money to get your hands on David Beckham‘s underwear?

Watch A 1 Minute Preview Of Oprah Winfrey’s Interview With Michael Jackson’s Children

Today is the day that Oprah Winfrey airs her much-anticipated interview with Michael Jackson‘s parents Katherine and Joseph and his three children Prince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince Michael Joseph, II aka Blanket. The ep has yet to air here on the West Coast but right now we get to check out a 1 minute preview video of Oprah talking to MJ‘s kids about what a good cook Michael Jackson was:

In a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey airing on “Oprah” today, Jackson’s children, Prince, Paris, and Blanket, opened up about their pop icon father for the first time since his death. Surrounded by their cousins at the Jackson family’s California compound, Havenhurst, Prince, 13, and Paris, 12, talked about growing up with Michael. “I kind of felt like no one understood what a good father he was. He was the best cook ever,” Paris told Winfrey. “He was just a normal dad.” “He made the best French toast in the world,” she added. “He just made the best breakfasts in the world.” Prince and Paris described Michael as “strict” but said he often treated them to sweets like Snickers candy bars and Coca-Cola. “He tried to raise us without us knowing who he was, but that didn’t really go so well,” Paris said, smiling. The two shared their favorite memories of Michael. “We were in Bahrain, and we used to wake up early and walk on the beach,” Prince said. “One time we were on the roof of the Luxor in Las Vegas, just saw all the city lights,” Paris said. “We were eating Snickers, we had some soda.” “Sometimes he would take me to a museum, because we both loved art,” Paris added. “We’d play tag outside. He got us Kenya [their dog] four years ago.” Blanket, 8, barely spoke during the interview, answering “yes” when Winfrey asked if he was still home-schooled. Blanket added that while Prince “could get away with anything,” when it came to being disciplined by Michael, he could not. They also talked about their hobbies and ambitions. “I’d like to be an actress when I’m older,” Paris told Winfrey. “I sometimes do improv. I used to do it with my dad.” Prince said his favorite pastimes were “video games and sports.” He said he wants to “produce movies and direct” when he grows up. Winfrey wrapped up her interview with a poignant question — “What do you miss the most?” “Everything,” Paris replied.

I believe today’s episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show has already aired in parts of the US but if it has yet to air where you are, SET those DVRs now! It is crazy to see these kids so grown up … it seems like yesterday that they were all babies. And this is the just beginning … mark my words, MJ‘s kids are going to come out in a big way sometime very soon. It may not be what Michael Jackson wanted for his children but I’d bet good money they are going to make a splash of their own in Hollywood in the near future. Just wait and see.

‘Kick’ Ass

While David and I spent most of the day at home together we managed to get out of the house last night for a pizza dinner date at Prizzi’s Piazza before going to the ArcLight in Hollywood, CA to see the final Dragon Tattoo film The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (Luftslottet som Sprangdes):


I am very happy to report that Hornet’s Nest is a fantastic close to a fantastic movie trilogy. The first film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is by far my fave of the bunch, The Girl Who Played with Fire and this final film Hornet’s Nest really work together to tell the amazing story of Lisbeth Salander. Salander has quickly become one of my fave fictional characters and I have enjoyed seeing her live in the acting prowess of Noomi Rapace. The original Swedish films have set a very high benchmark for the US version films to reach … but I am quite pleased that I was able to see the original films, in their original form well in advance of any remakes.

Tonight, David and I will be making our way to The Wiltern to see Florence + the Machine and we couldn’t be more excited! Mondays aren’t always the best days … but today promises to be a doozy :)

Back in September MTV threw its biggest party of the year here in SoCal at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Last night, MTV threw its second biggest party of the year in Madrid, Spain at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. Here are a few photos of some of the celebs who walked the red carpet at La Caja Magica in Madrid last night:


Don’t you just LOVE how Miley Cyrus had to raid Colonel Sanders‘s closet to find something to wear to the EMAs last night? The Best Hip Hop award went to Eminem, Best Pop went to Lady Gaga, Best Rock went to 30 Seconds to Mars and Best Live Act went to Linkin Park. There’s never a dull moment when Kanye is involved. One of my fave things about the MTV EMAs is that they are held in a different European city each year. This year’s party was hosted by the beautiful country of Spain in their capital city of Madrid. It looks like it was a pretty fun affair … congratulations to all the winners.

Conan O’Brien Enjoys A Lazy Sunday With His Family

Conan O’Brien‘s new late night talk show Conan will debut on TBS TONIGHT at 11PM ET/PT but before he kicks off another successful late night TV run today, Conan spent some downtime with his children here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. Conan and his children Neve and Beckett made their way to Evett’s Model Shop in Santa Monica, CA to pick up a fun science kit to play with together … here are a couple photos from their fun excursion together:


The O’Briens purchased the Smithsonian Mega Science Lab and one can only imagine all the fun science experiments they did together last night as a family. Conan officially goes back to work today so it’s nice to see that he enjoyed his last day of unemployment with his kids.

In other related Conan O’Brien news, he has been giving away 1,000 free t-shirts a day for the past 10 days to promote the debut of his new late night talk show. Today, on the final day of the giveaway, I *finally* won a t-shirt:


This shirt features a very cool Conan Pale Whale that was designed by the artist who created the Fail Whale image for Twitter. I cannot wait to rock this t-shirt when it arrives … and I really can’t wait to see Conan O’Brien back on late night TV tonight!! Woot!!

Dakota Fanning Is Voted Homecoming Queen

Congratulations are in order for Miss Dakota Fanning … because she was voted this year’s Homecoming Queen by her classmates at Campbell Hall Episcopal School here in SoCal on Saturday night. Here is a cute photo of Queen Dakota and her Homecoming King football stud during the coronation ceremony at this weekend’s Homecoming football game:


While I certainly send my heartiest congratulations to Dakota on her Queendom, I must also express my most profound consolations to all of the other girls who attend classes at Campbell Hall School because I imagine it is quite difficult to compete for the title of Homecoming Queen against a fairly popular and very successful Hollywood actress. Still, I’m sure Dakota will rule honestly and fairly during her tenure as Queen of Campbell Hall. All Hail, y’all!

David & Victoria Beckham Do ‘Hello!’ Magazine

Happily marrieds David and Victoria Beckham are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Hello! magazine … and in the couple’s joint-interview, they open up about about their unfailing love for one another in an attempt to fight back against claims of marital problems between them. Here is our first look at Les Beckhams on the cover of the new issue of Hello! magazine along with some excerpts from their coverstory interview:

In a world exclusive joint interview with HELLO! magazine, David and Victoria Beckham have hit back at the critics who questioned their relationship after an escort girl made false claims against them. "We're soul mates," Victoria said. "Sometimes people throw shit at us but we get through it. You deal with it, or you don't. You go into a marriage knowing there are going to be ups and downs. We're in the public eye so we have more to deal with than most. We accepted that years ago. It's just about us and the family." The couple also tell HELLO! how they keep their romance alive. "We always make time for each other," David said. "We have a 'date night' every Wednesday." Victoria adds: "We catch up on what we've missed on the TV. We watch Keeping up with the Kardashians, and we love Melanie B's new reality show." The Beckhams also talked about how they love their life in their adopted homeland of Los Angeles, and reveal how their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, are settling in – even learning sign language so they can communicate with a deaf friend. However, they immediately ask to be taught some rather inappropriate words! "Of course the first thing Cruz, who is five, wanted to learn was how to say 'I have wind' and the 's' word," Victoria reveals. "He also wanted to know what other swear words were!" Romeo, meanwhile, has just received his first mobile phone – and has been using it to send messages at inappropriate times. "We got a message from Tana Ramsay saying 'We don't mind but Romeo's been phoning the house in the middle of the night asking to speak to our kids," Victoria explains. In addition, David and Victoria reveal the nicknames they have for their three children and how they tease their dad about his English accent. Victoria also talks about her style icons, and explains how she deals with the celebrity clients who are queuing up to wear her fashion designs.

I can’t even remember the last time that Posh and Becks gave a joint magazine interview but in light of the recent allegations of infidelity, I can understand why the couple would decide to go on the record together to set things straight. This Hello! magazine interview sounds like a deffo must read … I will DEFFO be picking up this copy of Hello! which is on newsstands now.

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Enjoy A Honeymoon In Brazil

Yesterday we learned that co-stars and rumored lovers Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson made their way to Brazil to film scenes for the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The actors are in South America to film the honeymoon scenes that are featured in the film, much to the delight of all the Twihard Edward & Bella fans out there. Here is a cute photo of R. Pattz and K. Stew waving hello to the assembled fans and photogs at their hotel this weekend:


It is exceedingly rare to see photos of Kristen Stewart smiling so genuinely for the cameras so … this photo is news in and of itself. But … there’s a bit more Twilightness to share today. As you know, Rob and Kristen are in Brazil filming their happy honeymoon scenes which means the couple finally has license to get all lovey dovey in public under the guise of “work”:

I mean … c’mon. Not only are these two young actors being paid very handsomely for starring in a wildly successful film franchise with a rabid fanbase but they are being paid to make-out with one another … when they would presumably be happy to do so for free! Some people have all the luck. I suspect this won’t be the last we see of Rob and Kristen in Brazil … I wonder what other sort of fun they’ll be getting into together.

Lindsay & Michael Lohan Reunite For The First Time In 7 Months

Lindsay Lohan, who is currently rehabbing at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA for the rest of the year (that is, when she’s not out shopping with friends), finally deigned to meet with her estranged father Michael Lohan (who currently has a warrant out for his arrest) this weekend. Father and daughter have not seen one another up-close and personal for 7 months … but this weekend, they were joyfully reunited at last:

Lindsay Lohan has reunited with her estranged father Michael at the Californian rehabilitation clinic where she is receiving treatment for drug addiction, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. “It was an emotional reunion… there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other,” a source with knowledge of the meeting revealed to RadarOnline.com. It is a stunning and dramatic turnaround for the 24-year-old Hollywood wild child, who has perpetually blamed her one-time drug addict dad for her problems. The pair met soon after 1pm on Sunday at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, we’re told. “Lindsay met Michael at Betty Ford and the pair spent hours together… it was not a fleeting encounter, this appeared well-planned in advance,” the source said. “They also went shopping at a local Palm Desert mall, where they were seen walking around together and at one point, were in a jewelry store.” When RadarOnline.com contacted the Lohan patriarch for comment about the encounter, the 50-year-old dad-of-four remained tight-lipped: “I have pledged not to comment about anything relating to my daughter. However, what I will say is that I am an incredibly proud father tonight. My daughter is progressing extraordinarily well.”

It is being reported that the meeting came about by Lindsay‘s request … which is a bit surprising considering how angry she has been with Daddy Lohan for the past few years. You may recall that Lindsay admitted that she blames her father for most of her problems. Still, I guess it’s encouraging that she is willing to forgive her father enough to spend time with him … even if he is THE worst father in the world. Ugh. Even when there’s reasonably positive Lohan news to share, it’s still pretty smarmy. Will this reunion open up a new chapter in the relationship between father and daughter? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. What do y’all think? Is this reunion a good thing or a bad thing?

Michael Jackson’s New Single ‘Breaking News’ Is Released

The day that Michael Jackson fans have been waiting for has finally come … today, a BRAND NEW single from the late King of Pop titled Breaking News has been made available to fans all around the world. But, the single’s release does not come without its fair share of controversy … as you might expect from anything Michael Jackson-related. The Jackson family does NOT believe that this new track released by Sony Music is a genuine MJ song. They insist that the vocals on the song are not of Michael Jackson. In an effort to bolster their claim, Katherine Jackson and her business partner Howard Mann released a song titled Opis None as a genuine MJ song in retaliation. The only problem is that their song isn’t the genuine article at all. Mann released a statement admitting that the song Opis None is NOT a new MJ track but is, in fact, an extended remix of an old MJ song titled Destiny. Whoops!

Undaunted, Sony Music released Breaking News on MichaelJackson.com at midnight last night … here is our first look at the single cover artwork:


Naturally, Sony will NOT let the song be streamed on any site but their own … so you’ll have to click HERE to listen to Breaking News in full. I’m not familair with the more recent MJ music so I can’t really tell if the vocals sounds like his or not. The song deffo has a Michael Jackson feel to it but, well, you be the judge — is it really Michael Jackson singing or not?

I will say I have much more confidence in Sony Music and their vocal experts than I do in the Jackson family and their leechy business partners. If Sony says that this song and the others to be released on the new album Michael next month, then I believe them. Do you?
