Fat Joe Drops 88lbs The Old Fashioned Way - Diet And Exercise

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 10:00 AM PDT

Fans of Fat Joe have noticed that the rapper has gone through a dramatic weight transformation, dropping 88lbs the old fashioned way.  Get the deets inside...

After watching seven of his friends have heart attacks in their 30s, veteran rapper Fat Joe has dropped 88 pounds from his 350-pound frame....the old fashion way.

In an interview with the NY Daily News, the rapper says he decided to make a health change in his life for his 5-year-old daughter Azaryah.

"I can't leave my daughter behind," he said. "I want to be here for her; I don't want to die on her."

So now the rapper, who once topped the scales at 350lbs, is now about 265lbs.  So what did he do?

Fat Joe says he lost weight the old fashioned way through diet and exercise.  Now he works out with a trainer combining two-hour cardio and weight-lifting sweat sessions with six small daily meals of fruit, veggies, whole grains and lean meats.

"I was always LL Cool J in a fat guy's body," joked the rapper who now says his friends call him "Skinny Joe."

"They're all trying to alter my name, but I can't see myself as anything else," he said, referring to friends who started calling him "Skinny Joe" and "Joey Flaco" (Spanish for "thin"). "I think I gotta ask Diddy what my new name is."

Congrats to Fat Joe and his healthier living.

"Parenthood" actress Joy Bryant was spotted chillin' in Miami in her camouflage bikini.  Pics of the toned YBF Chick when you read on...

After smashing the carpet in a leg baring Rachel Roy mini dress at the CFDAs earlier this week, 34-year-old Joy Bryant got some R&R at the opening of the Elle Spa at the Eden Roc hotel.  She was spotted chatting on the phone and grabbing a drink her her teeny weeny camo bikini:

By the way, Joy says she keeps in shape with the help of Kundalini (stimulating energy with breathing exercises) yoga.

She says: 'I do it moreso for the meditative aspect of it, and you get the physical benefits from it.'

"Parenthood" is one of my fave shows on tv.  Can't wait for next season...

Supermodel Tyra Banks was spotted signing autographs in NYC yesterday.  We've got the pics, plus which YBF celebs watched the Miami Heat lose GAME 5 to the Dallas Mavericks last night, inside.....

Yesterday, TV host and former supermodel Tyra Banks was seen signing autographs for fans before heading to Manhattan's Skylight Soho studio in NYC.

This wig is killing me softly.  But love her eyes.

During the CW upfronts, Tyra promised that each season of "ANTM" will push the boundaries of modeling and won't be "normal."

And in NBA Finals News.....

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were seen arriving at GAME 5 to take on the Dallas Mavs.

Chris Bosh was also seen arriving.

Jason Kidd looked ready to play.

And b-ball fan Lil' Wayne was there.  This dude is not missing a game...

Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin was seen in the audience cheering on the other pro-Dallas ballers.

Gabrielle Union was there to cheer on Mr. Wade.  Her boo got injured in the game so she may have been a bit upset.

Demarcus Ware was also spotted.

Unfortunately for Heat fans, they lost the game 112-103.

FIGHT NIGHT In Italy For The "Basketball Wives" Tami & Meeka!

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 05:38 AM PDT

And it's round 2 for Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton!  The "Basketball Wives" trekked it to Rome for an Italian vacay.  And last night, drama popped off again with Meeka catching a punch to the face.

The drama when you read on...

Remember when Tami and new cast member Meeka (and we can already tell her ass is messy as sin) got into a fight at a Polo match a couple months ago?  Looks like round 2 went down in Italy last night.

TMZ reports all the ladies hit up a club in Rome last night and Tami decided to confront Meeka about her messy group-dividing antics.  Ish didn't go over well, and a brawl began.  And supposedly Tami ended up punching Meeka dead in her face!  Tami tweeted this morning:

Meeka is not a victim! She wanted 2get it poppin w/me 2 impress Evelyn. If I feel threatened, I have a right 2 defend myself.

I knew ish was about to go left when Tami told this chick on last episode that putting her hand in her face was a mistake that will get her popped. No serious injuries.  But all the girls were all carried out the club.  Stay classy ladies....

DADDY & ME: Dwyane Wade Gets New Family Portrait With Sons, Pens Letter On Single Fatherhood

Posted: 09 Jun 2011 03:38 PM PDT

After winning full custody of his sons--9-year-old Zaire Blessing Dwyane Wade & 4-year-old Zion Malachi Airamis Wade--last March following his divorce from ex-wife Siovaughn, Dwyane Wade is all about being the best dad he can be to his kids.

The Miami Heat baller is entering Game 5 of one of the biggest NBA Finals games of his life Thursday night, but he's made very clear, in a letter he recently penned in Newsweek, that the ability to succeed as a single father is the true definition of winning.  We've got the first look at his new family portrait, plus his heartfelt letter, when you read on...

Dwyane Wade and his sons Zaire and Zion recently shot their new family portrait (above).  And it depicts a single father and his beautiful sons coming together as a family after a messy divorce.

There were several months of drama surrounding Dwyane and Siovaughn's divorce--cheating allegations, abuse allegations, and unprofessional antics that the judge just didn't appreciate.  But despite Siovaughn's claims that attempted to make the public believe Dwyane was a horrible father, he was granted full custody of his sons--something that rarely happens in the legal system unless there are serious issues on the willing mother's end.

So Dwyane has been living the single dad life for a few months now.  And in a recent Newsweek article, just in time for Father's Day next weekend, he's expressing the huge change in his life this has meant for him.   And states all men need to step up and be fathers as well.

Here's his letter entitled My Life as an NBA Superstar Single Dad:

There are a few words that come to mind when I think about the past couple years of my life: challenging, rewarding, transformative—they roll off the tip of my tongue in an instant. In the span of a year my two good friends LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined me on the Miami Heat, I struggled through a painful, public divorce, and I became the full-time parent to my two young sons, Zaire and Zion.

I’ve had some ups and downs lately, but the memories of the unpleasant times disappear quickly, in part because of moments like the one recently when I was able to surprise my younger son, Zion, at his school with cupcakes for his fourth birthday. It was the day after we’d won the Eastern Conference finals, but that victory couldn’t compare with the huge smile on Zion’s face at that moment. I will never forget it. Bad memories vanish each morning when I walk into both of my sons’ bedrooms to wake them up for school—their laughter gives me all I need to face whatever is happening in my life. Not too long ago, due to custody issues, I wasn’t allowed to see my sons for long periods of time, or was given the chance to see them for only a few hours with no idea of if or when I’d see them again. I can’t describe how trying those days were, fighting for full custody while also working as a professional basketball player nine months of the year. I just knew I wanted to be with my kids.

I was seriously motivated to be a full-time parent for my sons. My mother and father weren’t together when I was a kid growing up in Chicago, and early on my mother fell victim to drug abuse. At 9 years old, I moved in with my father because my mother could no longer care for me. Looking back, I now see so many similarities between my own childhood and that of my sons. My father stepped in when I needed him, and that gave me the chance for a better life. That’s what I’m doing for my boys now.

All children need their fathers, but boys especially need fathers to teach them how to be men. I remember wanting that so badly before I went to live with my dad. I wanted someone to teach me how to tie a tie and walk the walk, things only a man can teach a boy. Of course, back then, I never could have imagined being in the same situation someday with my own kids. My dad and I bumped heads a lot—we were so alike, both of us born competitors. My older son, Zaire, is exactly the same way. We’ll battle on the court when I’m 39 and he’s 19. He’s 9 now, and he’s grown up with basketball. Zion could take it or leave it, which is cool by me.

Today, I constantly tell my dad how much I appreciate what he did for me. I think you really have to become a parent to understand what you will endure to be there for your kids. I could say I was surprised at the criticism I received for traveling from Miami to Chicago so often during the regular season for my custody court cases, but nothing really surprises me anymore. I had a duty to fight to be with my kids, and I did it.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten a lot of support from my mother, sister, and others in taking care of my boys and making their new living arrangements a smooth and happy transition. Going forward, I want my sons to have a healthy relationship with their mother, and that’s something we’re working on. I hope to have a great relationship with her one day too, because I know how much it meant to me to see my parents get along as time went on.

I can’t say what we’ll do for Father’s Day, because since my sons came to live with me about two months ago, every day has been like Father’s Day. I just want people—men, and men of color in particular—to hear my story and know that their children need them and that it’s their responsibility to be there for them. We have to step up as men and do our part. There are no excuses.

No excuses.  Loves this.

DO WE BELIEVE IT?: Did Wizards Baller Rashard Lewis Tap LeBron's Girl Savannah?

Posted: 09 Jun 2011 12:09 PM PDT

I'm going on the record now saying I don't believe this ish....yet.  However, I'm doing my duty of relaying the pressing gossip out here in these innanet streets.  At least the gossip that could possibly hold some water.

As it always happens during the NBA Finals, crazy rumors are hitting the streets.  And this time, yet another NBA baller has allegedly gotten it in with yet another one of LeBron James' girls.  Deets inside....

Reports say Rashard Lewis of the Washington Wizards was allegedly caught getting it in with LeBron James' long-time girlfriend and sons' mother, Savannah Brinson.

Ladies: Here's one reason you'll be able to tolerate watching the game with your man tonight.  You never know what info can leak during a game.

Supposedly, LeBron's poor performance the other night in the Heat's loss to the Dallas Mavericks was all due to him finding out Rashard Lewis and his girlfriend Savannah getting it in. Mmhmm...

The folks over at Hello Beautiful say they have a source who claims they know Rashard indeed slept with Savannah recently while he visited South Beach:

Looks like Lebron James lackluster performance in this year’s NBA playoffs is related to yet another off the court drama. Word on the street is that Rashard Lewis slept with Lebron’s girl Savannah while he was visiting South Beach.

Here’s what I found out :

I have a very reliable source who clubs and drinks with all of the athletes that come through Orlando. He was all over the Tiger Woods issue and knew what all happened with Tiger prior to it being released publicly. My buddy has a place in Orlando, Lake Nona to be exact, and he lives among some athletes that live there in Orlando. Needless to say he golfs, drinks, and parties with some of the best people in central Florida. So when word got to him while at the bar last night, he called me. Word got out while drinking with friends, that Rashard Lewis slept with Lebrons girl while visiting South Beach.

ESPN’s analyst Stephen A. Smith recently said on his radio show that Bron Bron is going through personal off court issues and that’s the reason for his poor play on the final.

Hmmm.  Stephen could have been talking about many things honestly.  And REALLY--how many unemployed women who are living the life of a come-up with arguably the richest man currently in the NBA would "downgrade cheat"?  REALLY?  Yes, we know men "downgrade cheat" OFTEN.  But is this a different scenario?

At the same time, isn't cheating in the NBA damn near a given these days?  Crazier things have happened.

There were rumors of LeBron's mom getting it in with Delonte West (and supposedly caused him to lose the Playoffs last year)--and yes, we believed that ish.  Yet, there were recent rumors of a Laker wives love triange we barely paid attention to that supposedly caused kobe and co. to lose in the Playoffs this year.  So this could be just another rumor on the NBA Finals grill.

No other hard core facts (or denials) have come out yet.  So for now--it's just a rumor.  Do we believe it?

Tami Roman Dishes On Being a B.I.T.C.H., Suing Evelyn Lozada, And Why She's Back On "BBW3"

Posted: 09 Jun 2011 10:22 AM PDT

Tami Roman stopped by WBLS in NYC earlier this week to chat with radio personality Egypt.  The two ladies talked about what's coming up on  "BBW3" and about her new book, The B.I.T.C.H. Chronicles.  Get the highlights inside.....

During their interview, Egypt reminded listeners that Tami Roman was on MTV's "The Real World" back when reality tv was in its infant stages, and she asked her why she decided to return.

Tami told listeners that her purpose for doing "BBW2" (and "BBW3") was to show that world the "other" side of being a basketball wife.  Through her story, viewers saw that the marriages don't always work, the money doesn't always last and sometimes there are some hard struggles.

During one funny moment, a listener asked her how she could possibly work with Evelyn Lozada and Tami's classic response was "....a VH1 paycheck."

And she did briefly mention that she filed a lawsuit against Evelyn but said she could not talk about it because producers want that story to unfold on the show.  But according to Tami, the lawsuit is the real deal.

During another funny moment, when a caller mention that it seemed like Tami had a drinking problem, Tami said the problem was that she wasn't in her lane.  She told her, "I'm a beer drinker."  She added that all the fancy mixed cocktails didn't sit well with her.

She also spoke about her upcoming book, tentatively titled The B.I.T.C.H. Chronicles.  For Tami, it means Believing In Total And Complete Honesty.  She says the "B" word used to send her over the edge so she wrote this book to turn the word into something a bit more positive.  Oh...
