As celebs gear up for tonight's BET Awards, they partied the night away last night at Debra Lee's annual Pre-BET Awards dinner at Book Bindery in L.A.

We've got lots of pics of the fab folks who made appearances when you read on....

Ashanti rocked a big-haired, white cocktail dress look that we are loving for last night's dinner. She snapped some pics with the 2011 BET Awards host Kevin Hart....and LaurieAnn Gibson. Something about LauieAnn just looks real....hard...these days.

And YBF Chick Ashanti snapped some flicks with Terrence J outside. Very classic and pretty look for her.

Inside, the host Debra Lee kicked it with some of her fave folks--Trey Songz, Mike Keyser, and Diggy Simmons.

Fab chick Tika Sumpter--who is hosting the BET.com red carpet show--was grabbed up by Trey for some pics:

Keri Hilson toned down her look to a simple black and white ensemble as she kicked it with Big Tigger and Deb and Londell. Loves the skirt.

LaLa Anthony stole some kisses from her hubby Carmelo, who looks very dapper by the way in this suit and champagne colored shirt.

Boris Kodjoe was spotted outside. At least he threw on a blazer with his jeans...

The BET crowd was in full effect this past week as folks gear up for tomorrow night's 2011 BET Awards. Trey Songz, Debra Lee, Terrence J and more hit up the oficial party to benefit HIV/AIDS programs. While Teairra Mari, Jill Marie Jones, Busta, and more hit the Rolling Stones/BET kickoff party.

Cee-Lo Green Quits Rihanna's "LOUD" Tour + L.A. Lakers Say YES To Ron Artest's New "World Peace" Name

Cee-Lo Green has been removed--either by his own account or not--from Rihanna's "LOUD" Tour for reasons not made clear to the public.

Also, although the team was blindsided when Ron Artest went on "TMZ Live" to announce plans to change his name to "World Peace," the head honchos at the team office have agreed to the name change and say there is enough time to get the change made before next season. Deets on both inside.....

Cee-Lo Green has been dropped from the Rihanna's "LOUD" Tour. Although details are sketchy, it's been said that there was a scheduling conflict. Also, some sources say Cee-Lo left to reunite with the Goodie Mob for a reunion album. Either way, he's outta there.

And in Sports....

In a move I hope won't create a trend, the LA Lakers have agreed to let Ron Artest change the name on his official LA Lakers jersey to Metta World Peace. And why? Well...Ron says this name will have a big global impact. And he's in the process of having his name leagally changed to Metta World Peace.

Maybe this is a good thing. One day, we may have NBA ballers named "Wear Condoms" or "Marry Your Girlfriend Before You Get Her Pregnant" or "Stop Bullying."

'Ya never know....

Celebs headed to Cali yesterday for a number of events. The 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival hosted a screening of "Beats, Rhymes, and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest" at the John Anson Ford Ampithreate.

Meanwhile, hip hop mogul, Diddy, was being honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers for his impact and inspiration on fellow artists. Read on for the pics...

Taraji P.Henson, Regina King, John Singleton and more were spotted at the Los Angles Film Festival Screening of "Beats, Rhymes, and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest.

Director of the film Michael Rapaport and actress Taraji P.Henson posed for a pic.

Taraji flirted with a cute summer look, pairing her white jeans with an off the shoulder floral top, and matching blue Hermes belt and wedges. Loves it.
