Did Tina Knowles Have A Diva Moment On Beyonce's New Video Shoot? + Is Master P. Hiding Money From Ex-Wife In Child Support Battle!?

Posted: 20 Jun 2011 06:00 AM PDT

"Miss Tina" Knowles didn't make friends while on the set of Beyonce's latest video, shot in Brooklyn and Westchester County in NY.   Apparently, tensions first flew when "Miss Tina" showed up with FOUR assistants and instructed them and everyone else to refer to her as "Miss Tina."  Hmm....that's not so bad.  She is a woman of a certain age and it's a statement of respect in many places.

But then, spies on the set said "Miss Tina" had words with the camera crew for taking too long between takes and she didn't want any of the extras talking to Beyonce. Maybe she was just being protective?

Spies also said that in the unnamed Diane Martel-directed video, Beyonce loses out on becoming prom queen.

Anyway, stay tuned in the next two weeks because Beyonce will be performing on NBC’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular hosted by Nick Lachey, set to air Monday, July 4, at 9/8 p.m. ET/CT.

And in court battles.....

Master P's ex-wife Sonya Miller has asked The No Limit Soldier to fork over child support for their four minor children (they are also parents of Romeo) and he did....in the amount of $271.  Now ask yourself, how does a man who showed a home on "MTV Cribs" with 24 karat gold toilets get off only paying $271 a month?

Well....the Dept. of Child Services can only hit him with the minimum amount (and that figure is based on a monthly income of $1,387) until they know his real monthly income and net worth.  And of course Sonya hasn't been able to gain access to those figures and I'm sure Master P. and his legal team aren't making that easy. Sigh.....

Rich folks and the games they play.............

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

President Obama's Got Some Words For The Fathers....

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 11:14 AM PDT

In his weekly address, President Obama reflects on Father’s Day and his experience as a parent and discussed the challenges and necessity of being a good father.  He's become a model of fatherhood himself.  And he's sharing what real fatherhood is about.  Read it inside.....

In his weekly address written especially for today, our President talks about how demanding and often trying fatherhood is, especially during a time of economic struggle.  But he reminds parents that above all, children need unconditional love, whether they succeed or make mistakes.

President Barack Obama's Weekly Address

Hi, everybody. This Father’s Day weekend, I’d like to spend a couple minutes talking about what’s sometimes my hardest, but always my most rewarding job – being a dad.

I grew up without my father around. He left when I was two years old, and even though my sister and I were lucky enough to have a wonderful mother and caring grandparents to raise us, I felt his absence. And I wonder what my life would have been like had he been a greater presence.

That’s why I’ve tried so hard to be a good dad for my own children. I haven’t always succeeded, of course – in the past, my job has kept me away from home more often than I liked, and the burden of raising two young girls would sometimes fall too heavily on Michelle. But between my own experiences growing up, and my ongoing efforts to be the best father I can be, I’ve learned a few things about what our children need most from their parents.

First, they need our time. And more important than the quantity of hours we spend with them is the quality of those hours. Maybe it’s just asking about their day, or talking a walk together, but the smallest moments can have the biggest impact. They also need structure, including learning the values of self-discipline and responsibility. Malia and Sasha may live in the White House these days, but Michelle and I still make sure they finish their schoolwork, do their chores, and walk the dog.

And above all, children need our unconditional love – whether they succeed or make mistakes; when life is easy and when life is tough. And life is tough for a lot of Americans today. More and more kids grow up without a father figure. Others miss a father who’s away serving his country in uniform. And even for those dads who are present in their children’s lives, the recession has taken a harsh toll. If you’re out of a job or struggling to pay the bills, doing whatever it takes to keep the kids healthy, happy and safe can understandably take precedence over all else.

That’s why my administration has offered men who want to be good fathers a little extra support. We’ve boosted community and faith-based groups focused on fatherhood, partnered with businesses to offer opportunities for fathers to spend time with their kids at the bowling alley or ballpark, and worked with military chaplains to help deployed dads connect with their children. We’re doing this because we all have a stake in forging stronger bonds between fathers and their children. And you can find out more about some of what we’re doing at Fatherhood.gov.

But we also know that every father has a personal responsibility to do right by our kids as well. All of us can encourage our children to turn off the video games and pick up a book. All of us can pack a healthy lunch for our son, or go outside and play ball with our daughter. And all of us can teach our children the difference between right and wrong, and show them through our own example the value in treating one another as we wish to be treated. Our kids are pretty smart. They understand that life won’t always be perfect, that sometimes, the road gets rough, that even great parents don’t get everything right. But more than anything, they just want us to be a part of their lives.

So recently, I took on a second job: assistant coach for Sasha’s basketball team. On Sundays, we’d get the team together to practice, and a couple of times, I’d help coach the games. It was a lot of fun – even if Sasha rolled her eyes when her dad voiced his displeasure with the refs. But I was so proud watching her run up and down the court, seeing her learn and improve and gain confidence. And I was hopeful that in the years to come, she’d look back on experiences like these as the ones that helped define her as a person – and as a parent herself.

In the end, that’s what being a parent is all about – those precious moments with our children that fill us with pride and excitement for their future; the chances we have to set an example or offer a piece of advice; the opportunities to just be there and show them that we love them.

That’s something worth remembering this Father’s Day, and every day. Thanks, and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Have a great weekend.

Such wonderful words of wisdom.

FATHER'S DAY MOMENTS: Tyrese Pours His Heart Out To His Daughter In A Poem+NBA Baller Dorell Wright Opens Up About His Son

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 10:00 AM PDT

Singer and actor Tyrese is tapping into his sensitive side this Father's Day. He may kick serious a$$ in blockbuster movies like Transformers & Fast 5, but he's more than willing to pour out his heart to his baby girl Shayla.

We've got his poem he wrote for his little one, plus NBA star Dorell Wright's words about fatherhood, under the jump....

Tyrese posted this collage of pics of him and his daughter Shayla--as well as an intimate poem for her and fathers everywhere--on his personal blog.  His words:

I am more than just a man.. I am a father.
A boy is excited about the opportunity to be a dad.
A father is more focused on the "Responsibility" of being a father.

As a father it is a responsibility to create the standards in our kids' lives, I am not just semen. I love you, and you love me and in our family we created "we" in our children...

I am power, I am intelligence, I am education, I am integrity, I am God fearing spirituality, I am consistent...
As a father, sometimes I have to be away. I am constantly in the field hunting for my family's survival.
I am king therefore you are my queen. President Obama has created a new standard and removed every excuse a black man could ever have of NOT being a father...
I am more than I appear to be, I am more than just a man.
I....AM....FATHER!!

Fathers... Even though it seems like your effort is sometimes overlooked, God is watching and he knows your heart.

To all of the REAL FATHERS around the world..
Through good, bad or ugly relationships with the mother...
If you are NOT there for your kids, it is ONLY the kids that suffer in the end.
Take a stand and do any means necessary to be a part of your kids lives.

God knows your heart... God bless all FATHERS around the WORLD for Father's Day!

Salute!!

Loves.

And it may seem like every other day there's a story about an NBA or NFL star doing wrong by their children or children's mother.  But there are so many fabulous dads flying under the radar who set amazing examples.  And we like to showcase them.

Golden State Warrior and All-Star record breaker, Dorell Wright, is dad to his young son Devin.  And D-Wright has some words about shifting priorities to fatherhood:

“It’s incredibly rewarding to experience the unconditional love of my son. Despite having a good or bad game, he’s always waiting outside the locker room with a smile on his face telling me “good game!” Even if I missed my last 8 shots or just came home from a bad loss, my son Devin is there with a smile on his face- just happy that I’m nearby. Having my son changed everything in my life. It’s not just about me anymore. Knowing I’m responsible for my son makes me want to work 10 times harder not just as a basketball player but also as a person. Devin inspires me to be a better man. I want to set the best example I can for him. Being Devin’s dad is hands down the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Sweet!
