Gilbert Arenas Files Lawsuit To Block Baby Momma Laura Govan From "Basketball Wives: Los Angeles"

We told you previously that Chris Bosh had filed a lawsuit to block his baby momma from appearing on "Basketball Wives," and now Gilbert Arenas has hired Bosh's legal team to file suit against Laura Govan, hoping to keep her off the L.A. spinoff of the show.  Deets inside....

 

Although Laura Govan got knocked up by Gilbert Arenas four times and he never married her, he doesn't think she has the right to talk about it alongside her sister, Gloria Govan.  He says it would ruin his image.  Oh no--we can't have THAT be the cause of your already ruined image Gil.

This is all part of the argument in a new lawsuit filed by the "Reality TV-Dream Crushing Team" of legal experts who attempt to keep big-mouthed baby mommas and ex-fiancees off of TV shows like "Basketball Wives."

His lawyers wrote: 

“The presence of the defendant Govan and the title of the show is an obvious reference” to the NBA star, of the Orlando Magic, his lawyers wrote. As marketed, the show is “likely to mislead or confuse consumers that defendant Govan is either married to Plaintiff and/or has special insight into Plaintiff’s current life,” the suit states.

The suit goes on to accuse Laura and "BBW"'s producers of trademark infringement, false advertising and misappropriation of the star’s likeness, among other claims.

And although Laura has already taped a few scenes for "BBW: L.A.," Chris Bosh's baby momma Allison Mathis was in the same situation last month...and she got kicked off the show.

A part of my nosey self wants to see Laura air out her and Gilbert's dirty laundry (you know, what we haven't ALREADY seen), but his legal team will likely shut that down. Time will tell.....  

WHOOPSIE! Rihanna Takes A Tumble On Stage

Rihanna took a little tumble Wednesday night during her concert in Edmonton, Canada.  In the middle of asking "What's My Name?", she tripped and fell face forward on stage.

Sherri Shepherd's Wedding & Pre-Preggo Slim Down, & She Reveals Her Celeb Bridesmaids

The View's Sherri Shepherd is working hard to get her body right for her upcoming wedding to her her fiancé, TV writer, Lamar Sally. (No that's not her daddy now stop asking.) 

 

But that's not the only thing that's got her motivated. The white dress and preparation for a future baby have her working overtime. Read on to find out what Sherri is doing to get in shape...

Sherri Shepherd, who suffers from diabeties, has struggled with weight loss and fertilty issues in the past . She miscarried her son Jeffery's twin sister when she went into labour six years ago. The comedienne and co-host of "The View" has now made a conscious effort to get her body right. The star told People:

"I have to lose as much weight as possible for me to be healthy to carry a baby"

Sherri's workout regimen includes  personal training sessions, Zumba dance classes and a strict South Beach Diet.

"I go at 7 in the morning, four times a week to see my trainer over at the Reebok Club. She's doing a lot of interval training with me, and these things called suicides. Those are really tough. "

Her bridesmaids Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Niecy Nash, Kym Whitley and Nicole Brown  even got fit with her during a recent wedding dance class rehearsal.

Sherri, who got engaged last year to her boyfriend Lamar, was surprised with a ring in a bowl of M&Ms (which she did not eat). Lamar even asked her 6-year-old son's permission for her hand in marriage. How sweet!

The wedding is scheduled to take place in her hometown of Chicago sometime in August. Congrats to the couple!

BASKETBALL NIGHTS: Shaunie, Jennifer, & Evelyn Party It Up With VH1+Mashonda Hits The NBA Draft Parties

The "Basketball Wives" hit up 4Sixty6 in West Orange, NJ last night for a VH1 party.  We've got pics and vid of them, plus pics of Mashonda and her bestie at Dahntay Jones' NBA Draft party, when you read on....

The ladies rocked some cute dresses while hosting Fashion Fridays at 4Sixty6 in Jersey, sponsored by their personal sponsor--VH1-- last night:

The ladies had some drinks and some fun of course.

Over in NYC, NBA baller Dahntay Jones of the Indiana Pacers hosted the Samsung Experience during the NBA Draft this past week.  It was hosted in conjunction with TRLuxury and the Dahntay Jones Foundation at Pranna. And Dahntay brought his girlfriend Valeisha Butterfield:

And Valeisha had her bestie Mashonda along for the event as well.

Mashonda rocked a fab figure hugging Celine dress.

BUSY LADIES: Solange Celebrates Her B-Day In Vegas+Raven-Symoné Rolls To "Jimmy Fallon"

Raven-Symoné is still pounding the pavement making her rounds to promote her new show "State of Georgia."  She hit NYC this week and made an appearance on "Jimmy Fallon" recently.  And Solange celebrated her 25th birthday at LAVO nightclub in Vegas.

 

We've got pics of the fab ladies, and video of Raven's appearance, inside....

 

Absolutely loving this look for Raven.  She showed off her svelte hotness in these metallic detailed pants and black fluttery strapped top as she made her way to film "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon".  And we're loving the makeup and hair too.

Over in Vegas last night:

Solange hit up LAVO nightclub in this cute tan and white mini dress to celebrate turning the big 2-5.  The shoes are a perfect match for this look--super cute.

She went back to the Patraesque braids too.  She said previously that the braids helped her natural hair grow out healthier and stronger and longer.  Nice.

TV FAB: Gabby Sidibe Talks, Dating, Dirty Sign Language And Masturbation On "Chelsea Lately"

A very talkative Gabby Sidibe stopped by "Chelsea Lately" recently to talk about dating, masturbation and dirty sign language.  Watch the very funny segment inside....

We all know Gabby Sidebe has a bubbly personality, but her interview with Chelsea Handler makes her even more likeable. 

First Gabby talked about her dating "situation" which made her laugh...and snort.  She then spent the rest of the interview laughing and snorting.  She also joked about her fake Twitter account which led to a funny revealation about masturbation.  Then she showed Chelsea some dirty words in sign language.  It was very funny.

Michelle Obama Greeted By Chants Of "Obama Ye-Le-Le" During Botswana Arrival

Michelle Obama, along with daughters Sasha and Malia arrived in Botswana to a rousing welcome as 25 school children dressed in animal hides danced and chanted "Obama Ye-Le-Le."  See the pics inside...

The FLOTUS, who's been in Africa since Monday, arrived in Botswana as part of the second leg of a week-long goodwill visit, after flying in from Cape Town, South Africa.

 
 

The excited school children danced and performed for the first family shortly after their arrival in Gaborone, Botswana.


 

Later, 50 school children gathered around the First Lady waving U.S. flags.

The first family will also enjoy a private safari over the weekend.


 

While there, Michelle visited an AIDS clinic that services over 4,000 children and their families.

WEDDING FAB: Details About Ameriie's Nuptials Revealed!

"1 Thing" singer Ameriie is set to marry her fiance, former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson tomorrow in an oceanfront ceremony in Anguilla and we have all the fab details.  Read them inside.....

 
At 5pm on Saturday afternoon, Ameriie is set to marry her fiance Lenny Nicholson during a waterfront ceremony at the Hotel Viceroy in Anguilla.  

The fab couple bought out the majority of the property and will use it to host the welcome reception, wedding ceremony, reception, and farewell brunch. 

Ameriie will be wearing a customized Monique Lhullier "Love" gown done by Mark Ingram of Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier in NYC.  Hair--an edgy yet classic updo containing strings of diamonds and pearls created by celebrity hairstylist Stephanie Pohl.  And her makeup will be created by top celebrity makeup artist AJ Crimson.

Her shoes will be baby blue Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals with Essie "Borrowed & Blue" blue nail polish on her toes.  Lenny is set with a Hugo Boss tux and all jewelry was provided by Rafaello & Co.

Ameriie's pastor, Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr. will officiate.

The wedding cake is a 7-tier cake designed by master pastry chef Yannis and is made with imported Sicilian pistachios.  The 3.5 foot 7-tiered, seafoam-colored fondant wedding cake has 7-tiers because, as the couple says, seven is the number of God.  It also features 7 flavors, including Devil's Food chocolate with crispy chocolate pearls, Matcha green tea cake with salty-caramel milk-chocolate green tea ganache, Coconut cake with key lime butter cream and coconut flakes, and vanilla cake with Sicilian Pistachio butter cream and caramelized Sicilian pistachio pieces.

The wedding invitations were the creation of the couple and wedding planner Tiffany Nieve-Cook.  The "Tiffany Couture" invites were designed by Natural Impressions and made of silk and plexiglass.

The couple will be honeymooning at the fabulous Viceroy Anguilla's 5,000 sq. ft. romance villa.

So what about flowers?  Well....the couple had an abundance of flowers (45 boxes) of roses, peonies, hydrangea, and orchids flown in from Thailand, Holland, and Singapore to create the stunning floral arrangements.

And for the reception afterwards,  3D roses will be projected on the couple's dance floor with their monogram to personalize the space and add the extra wow to the dance floor with music by DJ Konflikt.

Beyonce To Meet Up With Kelly & Michelle At Glastonbury, Releases Outtakes From July 2011 ESSENCE Cover Spread

Reports are swirling that Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are headed to Somerset, UK to meet up with their girl Beyonce before she takes the Glastonbury Festival stage on Sunday.  And supposedly, there's talks of them joining her on stage.

 

We've got the rumors, plus Beyonce's outtakes from her July 2011 cover of Essence magazine, when you read on...

Kelly's been tweeting about being in rehearsals for BET Awards--but she doesn't say where exactly.  And Beyonce's Glastonbury performance wil be streamed live during he BET Awards.

In today's Daily Mail, they quote the Daily Mirror (who is correct about half the time) as saying their source says teh trio have discussed getting together this weekend in the UK:

A story in today's Daily Mirror claims Michelle, 30, first suggested the idea that the girls get together and now it seems all three will at least spend some time together at the festival.

An insider claimed: 'Beyoncé was over the moon and sorted them out with Access All Area passes and accommodation. From there, plans developed and the idea of a brief on-stage Sunday evening reunion was mooted.

'It’s still very much up in the air as no one wants Bey to feel she’s being upstaged. One idea is for the two girls to join her on stage towards the end of her set for a medley of their hits.

'But whatever happens, the three girls are getting back together at Glasto and planning on having an absolute ball.'

MAGAZINE FAB: Jill Scott Gets FAB On Cover Of Billboard Magazine+Kevin Hart Is JET's New Cover Guy

Jill Scott is looking fantabulous on the cover of Billboard magazine upcoming July 2nd issue.  The full pic, excerpts from her cover story, plus Kevin Hart's new JET cover, inside....

Jilly just dropped her 4th full studio album this past Tuesday, Light of the Sun, and she's telling Billboard her road to getting back to a place where people bought her music again--not just watched her movies and tv show.

On her new vibe she put into this album:

"Free. That's the word I've been using. It's exciting, because it's on my own terms. I feel like my eyes are going to bulge out of my head. It's like starting all over again. Music shouldn't be a chore or feel like any kind of burden. It's free and alive. And that's where I am."

 

On her unique recording methods this time around:

All I wanted was to choose collaborators who could embody the energy I was going for. Without any pretense, without knowing what I was going to say . . . there was no guidance except for the energy and spirit in the room. I'm a big Salvador Dali fan; he put his blood and everything else he had in his painting. That's how it is for me. There's no blood on this record, but there sure is some heart."

 

On what she's learned the last few years:

"I've missed myself. I'm sassy again, stronger. Now I understand this industry to a certain extent, and know how I work best. Having my son was one of the key factors in me leaving the old label. I need him to see me be as amazing as I can be so he feels fearless. I haven't arrived at amazing yet. I'm in the process. But I want him to see me grow. I want to get another 30 years out of this amazing life of being an artist."

The 2011 BET Awards host, Kevin Hart, landed the cover of this week's JET magazine.  And the comedian is talking about his divorce, his rise in Hollywood, and everything else in between.

JET's press release states:
