Flo Rida Popped For DUI In Miami...In A $1.7 Mill Bugatti!

Posted: 09 Jun 2011 06:17 AM PDT

"Low" Rapper Flo Rida--Tramar Dillard--is his government--just joined the DUI club-o-stars. He was popped for driving under the influence early this morning in Miami after cops pulled him over for swerving in and out of lanes.  Oh, and he was in his $1.7 mill Bugatti.

Deets inside...

Brandy's ex-boo and Eva Marcille's ex-boo Flo Rida just pulled a dumb move.  He may be adamant about being a rapper with no-cursing and at least semi-positive lyrics.  But he's still doing foolish ish like driving under the influence.

TMZ reports Tramar was driving around Miami Beach in his red and black Bugatti costing almost $2 million in the wee hours of the morning.  And was pulled over for driving erratically.  He failed the field sobriety test after cops sniffed out alcohol.  Maybe it's because his blood alcohol level was double the legal limit.

Do better dude.

EXES ARE TALKIN': Alexis Phifer Talks To VIBE About Life After Kayne & Offers Advice For Amber Rose

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 05:31 PM PDT

All ex-girlfriends of Kanye West don't crave the spotlight or go on to become tabloid fodder.  Some of them fade to the back and live their lives.  By their own choice.

Alexis Phifer, Kanye's one time fiancee and arm candy of Mr. West.  She recently sat down with VIBE to talk about life after Kanye and what she thinks about the whole Amber Rose situation. See the highlights inside....

Alexis Phifer recently sat for an interview with VIBE talking about her life post-Kanye and why you won't be seeing her half-naked in KING or in some other rapper's video.

Even though you were making moves pre-spotlight, many folks were introduced to you via Kanye West. How have these last years been with less media attention?

I think after experiencing being with somebody that is a celebrity, it's really nice to have your anonymity. I'm a mom so I would much rather be able to be out with my son and have nobody recognize me. I really think that's a cool thing as opposed to doing red carpets or something like that, but only if it's really pertaining to my line because that's what I'm trying to sell… I'm not really trying to sell myself.

Guess we can assume there will never be an Alexis reality show?

(Laughs) I've been approached a few times… I don't know, first and foremost I'm a mother and I just feel like it's important to be represented a certain way and it's a lot to put your image and the things you say, or how you're perceived into someone else's hand and I just haven't been comfortable with that. Now if it was something like a documentary style, maybe. But I'm not interested in fighting with some girl or talking about my ex because those relationships are personal. I mean the album [808s & Heartbreak] was bad enough at first, but a TV show, I don't know, it would have to be real tasteful.

Another one of Kanye’s exes, Amber Rose, once went on the radio and said something to the effect of "You see Kanye's other ex, he was with her for six years, took her the same places and no one even remembers her name now..." Did that sting?

I believe that you get what you want out of a situation and Kanye will tell you, that I didn't [want that attention]. It's weird. I'll get on the red carpet and over-criticize myself. I don't want that attention. She wanted that and that's what she got out of it. But if I want to go to King magazine [Ed Note: This interview was conducted prior to Amber Rose's June 2011 King cover] right now and be in a sexy bathing suit I'm sure I'd generate some type of interest. It's just the decisions you make that put you where you are. She is where she's at because that's where she wants to be and I'm where I'm at because that's where I want to be also. I was kind of like "Girl please." I just laughed that off, brushed that one right off my shoulders. She doesn't really know what she's saying, so I can't even be mad at her. She doesn't even know the half.

What was your reaction to seeing those two for the first time?

I think that at that point, you know sometimes you go through things and you're like "I just want to do something different" and I think that's what he was experiencing at that time so he just did something different. Not to say that she's bad and I'm good, nothing like that, but that's just what he wanted at that time.

If you had to give any type of advice to Amber since she’s now an infamous Kanye West ex, what you would tell her?

I have no comment on that. I just have no words for her. But I wish her luck in her future, everybody deserves somebody.

Has it been hard getting rid of that tag of being 'Ye's fiancée? Is that something you consciously wanted to rid yourself of?

No, it was just a part of my life, but I'm really confident in who I am and what it is I do. Anybody who meets me and gets to know me, I don't think it would sway their decision either way on whether they like me or not. Either they will or they won't.

What are the three most important lessons you've learned from being in this crazy industry?

I've learned that no matter what, you always have to be yourself and hold your head up high and have respect for yourself. I've learned that the industry can get a bad rep, but if you're able to be around certain people and experience new things, just take it as something that's good and learn from it and be inspired by it because there is definitely inspiration. And about being in a high profile relationship... just keep your business to yourself.

I knew I liked Alexis for a reason....

UH OH: Winnie Mandela Does NOT Approve Jennifer Hudson Playing Her In Biopic...Or The Movie Itself

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 03:08 PM PDT

Winnie Mandela is opening up about the new movie based on her life starring Jennifer Hudson, and she is not pleased. In fact, Winnie calls the upcoming film an insult. Deets inside.....

Could you tell the story of a living person's life without ever speaking to the individual?  The producers of Winnie obviously thought so as Winnie Mandela revealed in a recent interview.  She said that she has never met or spoken to Jennifer Hudson, who is playing her in a movie based on her life.

"I have absolutely nothing against Jennifer, but I have everything against the movie itself," she told CNN.  "I am still alive and I think it is total disrespect to come to South Africa, make a movie about my struggle and call that movie some translation of a romantic life of Winnie Mandela. I think it is an insult."

For her own part in this mess, Jennifer Hudson has said she wanted to speak to Winnie Mandela but was advised by the movie's producers that it would be a bad idea.  A bad idea for who?  Jennifer...or the producer's vision of the movie?

I think I would find the idea of someone talking about my life without including me pretty insulting too. But it happens so I digress.....

Watch Winnie give her thoughts on the film to CNN here:

PRE-FATHER'S DAY FAB: President Barack Obama On "Being The Father I Never Had"

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 01:47 PM PDT

Just in time for Father's Day on June 19th, President Barack Obama has penned a letter about becoming the father he never had.  Read it inside....

With so many families who have missing father figures, it's always good to hear from such a positive role model of fatherhood and how he handles the task himself.

President Barack Obama has penned an open letter that will appear in the next issue of PEOPLE Magazine.  He's speaking on how he raises his two girls, Sasha and Malia, without having a father figure of his own as a model for how to be a good dad.  He also speaks on his past mistakes, and how he's spending the rest of his life making fatherhood his utmost priority.

Read it here:

I grew up without a father around. I have certain memories of him taking me to my first jazz concert and giving me my first basketball as a Christmas present. But he left when I was two years old.

And even though my sister and I were lucky enough to be raised by a wonderful mother and caring grandparents, I always felt his absence and wondered what it would have been like if he had been a greater presence in my life. I still do. It is perhaps for this reason that fatherhood is so important to me, and why I've tried so hard to be there for my own children.

That's not to say I've always been a perfect dad. I haven't. When Malia and Sasha were younger, work kept me away from home more than it should have. At times, the burden of raising our two daughters has fallen too heavily on Michelle. During the campaign, not a day went by that I didn't wish I could spend more time with the family I love more than anything else in the world.

But through my own experiences, and my continued efforts to be a better father, I have learned something over the years about what children need most from their parents.

Very nice. What did you think?

LET'S TOAST: Happy 34th Birthday KANYE!

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 01:05 PM PDT

Grab a drink, grab a glass.  Mr. West turns 34 today!  Kanye Omari West, the rapper/producer/mad man/fashion guru Chicago native, is blowing out a bunch of candles for his b-day today.

And we've got a photo gallery dedicated solely to all his fabness and foolery from the past year.  (More fabness than foolery for this year though).  Read on...

Since June of last year, the split personality Gemini--who lives up to his zodiac sign in every sense--has become a fashion guru in his own right, gotten tongues wagging thanks to his choices of make-out partners, had a very public break-up with a video vixen, produced some of the biggest albums dropping this year, and is still gearing up for one of the most anticipated collabos hip hop has been waiting a long minute to hear, Watch The Throne with his big brother Jay-Z.

Oh, and he's slid back into that spot of rappers we LOVE after bouncing back from crazy antics of the previous years.

Cheers to Yeezy!
