EVENT FAB: Ne-Yo And Monica Host "Dance At Dusk With The 2011 Porsche Cayenne"

YBF folks Ne-Yo and Monica hosted "Dance At Dusk with the 2011 Porsche Cayenne" this past Saturday. The hosts and a slew of their friends got a chance to take the new Porsche Cayenne for test drives while living that "Champagne Life" style.  See the pics when you go inside...

 

Who else just thinks SEX when they see a Porsche?  Goodness.

This is actually a really good look for Ne-Yo.  Both the outfit...and the branding with Porsche.

 

Monica looked fab at the event.  This aquamarine color works for her.

Cynthia Bailey of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" was there to test drive as well.  Fun times.

In Harlem, Carol's Daughter/The YBF hosted the "Lucky To Be Curly" party.

The founder of Carol's Daughter, Lisa Price, hit the NYC event.

Julissa Bermudez came out as well and rocked her curly hair.

After getting accused of crashing and getting thrown out of the G Star fashion show last week during NY Fashion Week, Vanessa and Angela Simmons sent over this statement to YBF to clear up what really went down:

"We were really excited about attending the G-Star Show. We love the brand. We had confirmed front row seats but had no clue where. Our escort was no where to be found and the lights dimmed down signaling the start of the show and at that point we didn't want to be rude, so our manager decided that it was best to leave. To clarify about us taking 50 Cent's seat, we had no clue who was to attend the show, we were just trying to get to our seats and enjoy the show."

Jay-Z Breaks Bread With Warren Buffet & Steve Forbes+Mariah's Christmas Album Cover & News

Well that's a sight for sore wallets.  Jay-Z was spotted breaking bread with one of the richest men in the world, Warren Buffet, over the weekend in Buffet's home state of Omaha.

 

No one's sure what they and Steve Forbes were chit chatting about, but guesses are swirling.  The details, plus news on Mariah's new Christmas album when you read on....

Mr. Carter rolled up to Omaha's Hollywood Diner and, despite only Forbes' cameras being allowed in, word got out the three were dining there.   Folks came in camera phones a-blazin'.  So this pic was leaked on VladTv. 

Accrding to Omaha.com:

While Forbes and Jay-Z may seem an unlikely pair, Jay-Z's wealth is estimated at $150 million by some sources. That's short of the $900 million or so needed to make the Forbes list but certainly enough to make some high-caliber financial advice worthwhile.

In general, it's likely that Forbes and Jay-Z, the stage name of Shawn Corey Carter, talked about some of Buffett's favorite topics: money and philanthropy.

Maybe Jay-Z witnessed Buffett's pop-singing attempt in a Geico video earlier this year. Maybe it was Forbes' idea to bring the two together and see what happens. Maybe Jay-Z got the idea from other celebrities who have sought Buffett's counsel as they begin to think about long-term plans for the money they accumulate.

Whatever it is they were shooting the ish about...this ought to be interesting.  And speaking of Jay, reportedly he's doing an invite-only New Year's Eve gig with Coldplay's Chris Martin in Vegas this year at the opening of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.  And they're getting paid millions to do so.

According to Page Six, the two will perform separately, then together.  And Beyonce's also looking for a Vegas NYE gig as well.

 

 

YES.  Mariah Carey's brand new Merry Christmas II You album is ready.  It's a follow up to her classic first Christmas album and she's remaking her hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on this new one.  She's adding in 4 brand new original songs in the mix with usual songs like "The First Noel," "Little Drummer Boy," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," and "O Come All Ye Faithful".

The album drops November 2nd and the first single will be an original track "Oh Santa".  *Going to pre-order now*

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN: Rihanna Hosts Katy Perry's Bachelorette Party + Angela Simmons Celebrates Her Big 2-3

Rihanna kept her promise and hosted her BFF Katy Perry's Bachelorette party last night in Vegas.  And, of course, it wasn't your typical game playing party.

In Vegas last night, the pop star besties Rihanna and Katy Perry partied it up for Katy's bachelorette party.  Rihanna did her BFF duties and hosted the Cirque du Soleil shindig.  The girls and friends went backstage after watching the show to meet the cast.  And partied it up with bottles and lots of pics.

That side eye is something serious Rih Rih.  Hot dress though.

This was just part of Katy's weekend pre-wedding celebrations.  Fab times.  This was all one day after Katy's fiance Russell Brand was arrested at LAX after he attacked a paparazzo.  Katy later Tweeted that that's what happens when a man defends his fiance from a paprazzo putting a camera lens up her skirt. 

 

Meanwhile, in Miami, Angela Simmons celebrated her 23rd birthday all weekend with her girls:

Mary J Blige has decided that she wants to return to her soulful roots for her next album. The nine time Grammy winner told MTV NEWS thats she wants to take her fans back to the classic soulful sound that she started with.

"Swizz Beatz and I, we're in the studio cooking up something real nice. It will be more like What's the 411?, My Life 2011, '12. It's headed in that direction but in a new way. Not what it used to be. Right now, it's going in the Mary direction, which is R&B and hip-hop and soul. If it goes into the club direction, it will probably be more soulful than futuristic."

Who else is excited for the return of old school MJB?

By the way, Mary will be headlining a  tour this fall with acts including Jazmine Sullivan and Miguel, which kicks off October 2 in Mobile, Alabama. El DeBarge is also slated to appear on certain dates.

In the rich and powerful couple news of the day, Jay-Z and Beyonce are now in the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to all their change.  Monetary change that is.

According to Guinness, "Jay and Beyonce together have earned a combined total of $122 million through June 2009."  This will likely be a permanent occurence every year for a while.  And the couple has officially earned the title for the year’s biggest “Power Couple” in the Guinesses Book of World Records.

Lady Gaga earned a place in the book with the title as Most Searched-For Female, while Michael Jackson earned the Most Searched-For Male title.  Miley Cyrus made it into the book with the Most Charted Teen title.

Brandy rocked this blue shirtdress with a sheen and bronze polka dots covering it at the Macy's Passport Glamorama event Friday night.  A reverse colored belted bow cinched the waist. She paired it with red pumps and a matching red lip and her hair in a sleek chignon.

But First Lady Michelle Obama rocked the vintage look first a few days before to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institue as she discussed her Let's Move campaign.  She rocked the reverse colors with the bronze shirtdress and blue polka dots.  And bright blue kitten heels completed her look.  So...
