Parents Television Council Won't Give Up Their Fight Against CBS Posted: 21 Sep 2010 01:15 PM PDT The Parents Television Council (PTC) has been lashing out against CBS for their new show $#*! My Dad Says, but both CBS and show star William Shatner don't seem to care. In an effort to continue their fight, the PTC is going to shift their focus from targeting national advertisers to "grassroots activists" who will "take their concerns directly to their hometown CBS affiliates and each affiliate's local advertisers." Tim Winter, President of the PTC, says they'll hound local advertisers for CBS affiliates, in an effort to get them to refuse to advertise during the show. Good luck with that! In response, CBS has said that the show will adhere to all of the network's standards, and they've made the following statement: "Parents who choose to do so will find the show can easily be blocked using their V-Chip." CBS makes a solid point. And honestly, PTC - this sounds like a lot of work for something that isn't THAT big a deal. EXCLUSIVE: A Statement From Bono's Charity ONE Posted: 21 Sep 2010 01:00 PM PDT Bono's charity ONE is looking to clear the air after some sketchy details about their organization came to the surface. Here's ONE's statement on the recent allegations against them: Contrary to the suggestion in the New York Post yesterday, ONE does not fundraise from the general public and we are not a grant-making organization. We are funded almost entirely by a handful of philanthropists on our board of directors to raise awareness and pressure political leaders to fight extreme poverty through smart and effective policies and programs, like the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, which is saving 4,000 lives a day. ONE has nearly 120 staff in the US, UK, Germany, Brussels, France, Nigeria and South Africa whose job it is to fight for funding for effective programs like the Fund and the US global AIDS program PEPFAR. As a result of those programs, today more than 4 million Africans have access to life-saving AIDS medication, up from only 50,000 people in 2002. Malaria deaths have been cut in half in countries across Africa in less than 2 years. As other examples of our work, ONE helped successfully press for debt relief for Haiti after the devastating earthquake there and we recently played an important role in the passage of a law in the US requiring oil companies to report any payments to government officials – an effort to end backhanded deals between energy companies and corrupt politicians that hurt people in poor countries. ONE has been a relentless advocate for these programs and policies and we have used the media spotlight to ensure world leaders keep their commitments. The media kits that were mentioned in the New York Post article, which were produced for far less than was cited and delivered by staff and volunteers, not a messenger service, were an effort to focus reporters on the Millennium Development Goals, a set of promises world leaders made to cut poverty, hunger and disease by 2015. Robert Pattinson embarked on a road trip to visit Kristen Stewart in New Orleans this week. The actress is filming On the Road and it's the second time in a month that he has visited her on set. A source claims: "Rob visited Kristen on set, but he wasn't in the way. He was very professional while she was filming – he obviously knows the process. Everyone on the crew loved him. He was chatty, mostly talking about sports, London and getting ready for the next Twilight film. He couldn't stop staying how happy he was to have some time off and how relaxed he felt! Rob and Kristen would hang out on-set more times than not, but they also spent time in her trailer. There was no real canoodling or PDA'ing, but it was obvious they were together, a couple. Kristen has a place that she's staying at, but very few crew members know the location. At the end of each of the three days, she and Rob would leave together; because there were quick turnarounds for the day everyone just assumed they went straight home. They would return together to the set in the mornings." The two are no longer together as Robert headed to London before he begins shooting Breaking Dawn in November. What Harm Could One Line Of Coke Do? Posted: 21 Sep 2010 12:50 PM PDT Sources are reporting that Lindsay Lohan is moron. As we all well know, on Friday Lilo will be in court AGAIN to answer to the judge about failing her most recent drug test. An insider close to Lindsanity isn't very surprised by the news, as they explain that LiLo never took her rehab visit very seriously, hopped right back into the party scene right after her release and told friends that she was surprised that a line of coke would show up on her drug test! What? Is she serioualy this stupid? What the hell goes on in her cracked out brain?! The insider, who claims to be close enough to Lindsay to have visited her while in rehab, explains that LiLo is a mastermind of "self-sabotage," but now that everything has caught up to her, she is "scared out of her mind." The insider reveals: "She says she has regrets this time [about doing drugs while on probation]. I was shocked she actually said she did have regrets, but she's finally met her match this time with the court system, because she's not in control of the situation. She's being treated like anyone else. I'm sure the judge will be hard on her." The insider goes to to say that they were there the night Lindsay snorted her comeback away, revealing: "She lives in this fantasy land, where she thinks, 'A line of coke won't show up in my system,' She has this sense of entitlement that rules don't apply. I just don't get it. It's sad, more than anything else. She didn't have to get high that night [that prompted the first failed drug test]. No one shoved coke up her nose. Anything could have been less worse than coke; even weed or taking a shot [of alcohol]. She had the world at her fingertips. It breaks my heart. When she went to jail, everyone was sort of hoping that was going to be it." Wow! What the hell, Lindsay? Did you really not pay any attention in rehab?! Don't you want something better for yourself?! Don't you want the comeback at all??? This is just sad. And what's worse is we don't very see good things to come for her now, regardless if she goes to jail or not. OC Housewife Gretchen Rossi Served With Lawsuit Over Dinner Posted: 21 Sep 2010 12:40 PM PDT As Gretchen Rossi joined her Real Housewives of Orange County cast mates for dinner of Saturday night, she was served with a lawsuit from her ex boyfriend Jay Photoglou. It seems Rossi's attorneys would not accept the lawsuit which forced him to serve her publicly at a dinner that was taped by the network. Unfortunately, we won't get to see it on the show. "Gretchen pulled up in her car and as soon as she got out she was served with the legal papers," claims a source. "She turned away and acted as if she was going to try to avoid being served. But there were two people there to serve her and she had no choice. She finally just accepted service." Rossi is being sued for libel, slander and five other counts, but she also has an active lawsuit against Photoglou. "They've spent a fortune suing each other," added the source. Blohan May Be Back Behind Bars On Friday! Posted: 21 Sep 2010 12:36 PM PDT Hope they kept the home fires burning in her cell! Lindsay Lohan returns to court on Friday to face-off with Judge Elden Fox. Since she failed one of her random drug tests BIG TIME, her probation will be officially revoked when she meets with the judge. She will then have to wait and see what happens at her next hearing, which will be a probation violation hearing. However, she could either be spending those days stumbling back into Las Palmas or behind bars! And according to sources, it seems "likely" that she'll be carted back off to the slammer! The power all lies with Judge Fox! One source explains: "Lindsay was allowed to remain out on bail last time until her probation violation hearing, but Judge Fox probably won't give her that privilege because of her failed drug test, and this is her second probation violation hearing in less than three months. By remanding her directly to custody, Lindsay would stay behind bars until the probation violation hearing, she wouldn't allowed to get out early. The probation violation hearing could be set for the following week, or as much as 30 days from now. If it's set for 30 days from now, Lindsay will remain behind bars during that time if that is what Judge Fox decides." We hate to break it to you, LiLo, but we don't think Judge Fox has any pity for you. Not many people do these days. Amy Winehouse recently took to her Twitter to announce the end of her professional relationship with producer Mark Ronson. According to her tweets, he was "dead" to her and she wanted nothing to do with him since she saw him as riding her coattails. When reached for comment, Mark was pretty "confused" as to why she would write that, but two hours after she called him "dead", she Tweeted that she loved him! Go figure! As to what could have caused this fight, Mark is staying mum, saying the pair will handle it privately, but he also wants it to be clear that he knows he owes everything to his work with Wino. He explains: "I've always been really candid about saying that Amy is the reason I am on the map. If it wasn't for the success of Back To Black, no one would have cared too much about Version (Ronson's second album)." That's for sure! Perhaps she was just having a bad year month night. Mel B is taking a very powerful stand against her former talent manager, who she claims in a new multi-million dollar lawsuit, swindled her out of a lot of money. For the first time, she is actually talking to the press about the thief and she has A LOT to say! Her lawsuit alleges that Dan Catullo, who was also a director and producer for her new reality show, backed out of a $2 million deal, defrauded Mel B forging her signature on a financial document and even used her money to buy himself a $140,000 Audi sports car. Mel B says Dan is nothing more than an "evil con man" and she is ready to put an end to it. She explains: "He is a very evil con artist with not very good intentions. He steals peoples money, not just our money but a bunch of peoples money." It's true. In fact, during an investigation, it was uncovered that Dan has a pretty serious criminal record, all across the country, with multiple charges of identity theft and fraud. Mel and her hubby Stephen Belafonte are seeking the judge to make a default judgement against Dan, but the con is one step ahead of them. He is countersuing them in response to their lawsuit But if nothing can come from this, at least Mel B has warned others about what kind of man this guy is. She explains: "What I think is really disturbing is that this guy is walking around LA, right now you could bump into him (and) he would be the nicest guy on face value, but underneath that, he is a vampire. He takes your money, tells you a completely different story, he morphs into these different names and characters and he just ruins peoples lives. I feel stupid because knowing what I know now, why didn't we check that or see that a lot earlier, hopefully we are preventing anybody else. I just think he needs to be stopped dead in his tracks.
