Earlier today we heard a fanmade remix of Britney Spears covering Madonna‘s classic debut single Burning Up that was made using the leaked official vocals from Britney‘s recording. Right now we get to hear the official version of the track. It is believed that this cover of Burning Up will be used in some way during Britney‘s upcoming Femme Fatale Tour … click below to hear the official track in full!


Praise the gods! This is a FANTASTIC COVER! Britney + Madonna is always a good time but, man, this Britney version of Burning Up is everything! I cannot WAIT to hear the song during Britney‘s show. Let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed that this song will be released as a single. Woot!!! LOVE IT!!!

New Daddy Carey Hart Takes Newborn Willow Sage For A Beach Stroll

Yesterday we got to see the FIRST photo of new parents P!nk and Carey Hart out in public with their 5 day old daughter Willow Sage and today we get to see a new photo of baby Willow out and about. This time, Willow went on a beach excursion with just her daddy … and the pair made an asbsolutely adorable couple.


So cute! It looks like Willow is going to become very accustomed to hanging out on the beach :) My guess is that new mama P!nk decided to stay home and rest while daddy and daughter stepped out for some alonetime. I have a feeling that Willow Sage is going to be a total daddy’s girl … just you wait and see ;)

Selena Gomez Does ‘Billboard’ Magazine

Selena Gomez — singer, actress and Justin Bieber girlfriend — is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Billboard magazine. The coverstory feature focuses on Selena‘s new album and new film, both due out this Summer, as well as her reign as current Disney starlet. In the wake of Miley Cyrus‘s rejection of the “good girl” image, Disney hopes they can pin their hopes on Selena as the new Disney doll. Can she handle it?

”It’s a transitional stage,” Selena Gomez says. “I’m figuring out what I have to do.” Gomez has been thrown a curveball. During the first week of June, there was a significant shake-up within the Disney Music Group. Two of the executives who helmed her musical career will be stepping away from her professional life in the months following the release of the most important album of her young career … “Selena is one of our top priorities,” Cavallo wrote in an email. “She made a fantastic album, with great depth and several hit singles. Everything is moving ahead as planned.” Those plans include the release of the album, which features such songwriters as Toby Gad, Katy Perry and Antonina Armato, as well as a 29-city North American tour booked by Creative Artists Agency. There’s also the promotional run-up for the film “Monte Carlo” with Fox 2000 … “She sees the world as her audience, an audience that goes 12 to 35 or 45,” Konowitch said in a May interview, two weeks before he announced he’d be leaving the company. “But she’s conscious of where she came from, and of not wanting to abandon them” … This summer, Gomez is attempting a new path for Disney Channel stars: severing her connections with a hit show, making a film for a rival studio and releasing her third album without the benefit of the Disney TV empire to promote it in conjunction with a series or special. Once the fourth and final season of “Waverly Place” wrapped in May, Gomez was promoting her new album, which Disney-owned Hollywood Records will release June 28, and the film “Monte Carlo,” which also stars Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy, that opens July 1 … “It’s obviously an important phase in my career, and personally,” Gomez says. “The good news is I have been juggling acting and singing for two-and-a-half to three years. But I have to start over in some areas. It’s interesting to start taking risks, to grow up through my music.”

I really love Billboard features like this because they aren’t all fluff … they really inform on what goes on behind the scenes in the music biz. I can’t say I’m a big Selena Gomez fan … yet … but I’m liking what I’m hearing thus far. Her new album, When the Sun Goes Down, drops at the end of this month and it features songs written by Britney Spears! Hello, how could I NOT be interested in an album like that. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the next phase of Selena‘s career turns out. At the very least, she can enjoy the fact that she is the object of envy, scorn and death threats now that she is Justin Bieber‘s girlfriend. Hello, the girl has already made it.

Thursday Night By Firelight

Last night our friends Emma and Josh invited us over for a fireside hang session so David and I made our way into the Valley to eat, drink and be merry with our dear friends. Emma’s newlywed BFF Melanie joined us for some delicious take-out from Vitello’s and we supped until we gorged ourselves :) ‘Twas a really fun night with friends.


Josh has been bizzy with rehearsals for a new play he is starring in so he couldn’t join us until much later in the night but we did have a great time nonetheless. It’s been chilly and cloudy here in LA for the past couple of days … June Gloom in in full effect. Sitting by the fire last night was just what the doctor ordered.

Plans for tonight are still taking form … I may have a very cool thing to go to and, should things work out, I’ll be sure to share all the deets tomorrow. Friday is here, let the weekend begin! Have a great one, y’all!!

It turns out that Neil and hubby David Burtka like to dress up the twins for the various holidays. Robert Pattinson Continues To Film ‘Cosmopolis’ In Toronto

In late May we saw the first photos of Twilight star Robert Pattinson on the Toronto, Ontario set of his new film Cosmopolis filming new scenes with his co-star Sarah Gadon. As you may recall, R. Pattz took a break from filming to fly to Los Angeles, CA last weekend to collect a whole slew of awards at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards (including the award for Best Kiss which he celebrated by smoochin’ on his Twilight co-star … Taylor Lautner) … but this week, he is back in Toronto hard at work. Check out new photos of Rob on set below.


Doesn’t it always seem like Robert Pattinson is working on something? When does the poor guy get to relax? He seems to go from movie project to movie project with a whole bunch of promo work in between … it sounds exhausting! While I’m certain Rob‘s bank account is not suffering from all the work he has been doing for the past few years, I truly hope he is enjoying himself. I’m guessing that as soon as Rob is finished with Cosmopolis, he’ll have a bunch of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 promo work to do before he heads off to film scenes for Breaking Dawn – Part 2 … PLUS other artsy movies to add to his resumé. I’m sure the Twihards are very happy that Rob loves to work but … I’m thinkin’ the dude is due a vacation … and soon.

Watch: will.i.am Can’t Remember The Lyrics To His Own Song

Whoopsie … it would seem that singer/producer will.i.am doesn’t know the lyrics to his own songs. During a live performance in France recently, will.i.am and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas performed their new single Don’t Stop the Party and willy had to whip out his cellphone to read the lyrics he had to sing on stage. I mean … what? LOL!!! Check out the video and see for yourselves.


Does will.i.am not know the lyrics to his own songs? The Black Eyed Peas ringleader recently performed live on French TV show Taratata and the rapper resorted to using his cellphone to read lyrics for the act's latest single, "Don't Stop The Party." To be fair, Black Eyed Peas were attempting a mash-up of Belgian rapper's Stromae's 2009/2010 European smash "Alors On Dance" with "Don't Stop The Party," but as soon as the Stromae portion of the live performance ended and the Black Eyed Peas' portion began, will.i.am can be seen clearly cheating at around the one minute mark of a You Tube clip popular in Paris this week via using his cellphone to read lyrics. It's not unheard of for artists to use teleprompters or cheat sheets when singing new songs on stage, but "Don't Stop The Party" isn't exactly a brand new offering: the track has been around since at least last year and Black Eyed Peas released a video for the tune in May.

LMAO! Yes, to be fair, many artists use teleprompters on stage to help them remember their lyrics … even Prince had teleprompters at all corners of his stage projecting the lyrics to whatever song he was singing at the time during his concerts here in LA … but for will.i.am to whip out his phone while performing on stage in front of the cameras … that’s just silly. I suppose it’s possible that will.i.am was reading his emails or text messages while performing but … I don’t think so. Learn your songs, dude.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Attend Their First Public Event As A Married Couple

The newlywedded Prince William and Kate Middleton attended their first public engagement as a married couple in London last night as the guests of honor at a charity gala held at Kensington Palace. Wills, Kate and others were on hand at the 10th annual Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) Gala Dinner which raised money for the charity … but all eyes were on the newlyweds the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Wills looked dapper in his tux while Kate looked stunning, as usual, in her Jenny Packham gown … check out photos of the married royals at last night’s event below.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a dazzling entrance at a charity gala dinner at Kensington Palace this evening. Looking stunning in a Jenny Packham gown, accessorised with LK Bennett shoes and a clutch bag, Kate brought her usual touch of simple elegance to the Duke and Duchess’s first official public engagement as a married couple. The couple [attended] the 10th annual Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) Gala Dinner … the Duchess pulled out all the stops for this evening’s glamorous event. William and Kate [attended] the reception with 900 other guests at Perks Field and [sat] down to a private dinner before the prince [gave] a speech. Musician Mark Ronson and his band [performed] for the royals and guests. The Duke and Duchess [attended] on behalf of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry – a body which raises sustainable funds for charitable grants.

I mean … really … how perfect can a couple be? Wills and Kate look so good together … they are such a perfect match. Even all these weeks after their royal wedding, the couple are still enjoying new firsts together. Very soon, they will pack their bags and will make their first visit to North America as a married couple and then Kate will be making her first ever visit to the US after they pass thru Canada. Kate looks great … just beautiful. Great photos, yeah?

Shia LaBeouf Says He Is Done Making ‘Transformers’ Movies

Sad news Transformers fans. Shia LaBeouf is confirming that he is finished making Transformers films. Oh wait, sorry about that … Good news, Transformers fans! Shia LaBeouf is confirming that he is finished making Transformers films! In an new interview out this week to promote the upcoming release of the third installment of the Transformers film franchise, Dark of the Moon, Shia has made it clear that he has made his last Transformers film. While he doesn’t rule out the chance of a reboot of the franchise sometime in the future, he seems pretty adamant that his Transformers days are dunzo.

Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that he has no plans to return to the Transformers franchise. LaBeouf is currently promoting his third and final appearance as Sam Witwicky in Michael Bay’s supposed last entry in the popular franchise, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. “For sure,” LaBeouf told MTV News, when asked if this was really his last Transformers film. “I’m not coming back to do another one,” he explained. “I don’t think Mike [Bay] will either.” Despite his decision to leave the franchise, LaBeouf said that the success of the film series means Paramount Pictures are likely to continue it in some form. “It is still a hot property I think, especially coming out of the third one,” the actor continued. “So I imagine they’ll reboot it at some point with someone else.”

In my personal opinion, this is great news … but not because Shia plans to walk away … because I think it’s best to put the Transformers film franchise away for a while. But, if the new Transformers film makes gads of money at the box office, you can bet your sweet patootie that the movie studio WILL make a fourth film — and they will get Shia back on board. He says no know but we’ll see. Still, even if Shia really is finished with the Transformers film franchise, he still has future Indiana Jones films to keep him busy. LaBeouf has a long movie career ahead of him … with or without Transformers in his future. So … I gotta ask … would YOU be interested in watching a Transformers film without Shia LaBeouf in it?

First Listen: Britney Spears Covers ‘Burning Up’ By Madonna

A new audio track of Britney Spears singing Madonna’s classic debut single Burning Up has made its way to the Internets and altho it is not an official release, it is DEFFO worth listening to. As I understand it, Brit covered Burning Up for use in some way for her upcoming The Femme Fatale Tour which kicks off in Sacramento, CA next week. The vocal track alone managed to leak to the Internets and an industrious fan worked up some music for the vocal track, which you can hear in full below.


As you should be well aware, Britney and Madonna have worked together a few times on various performances and projects. The pair infamously kissed during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and then Maddy lent vocals to Britney’s single Me Against the Music … then Britney returned the favor by making a surprise apeparance on stage here in LA during Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet World Tour. I think it’s safe to say that the ladies are BFFs. Now, Britney pays homage to Madge by covering her classic debut single Burning Up … listen to the fanmake remix of the track below:



OMG … LOVE! I suspect the official version of Britney‘s cover will make its way to the Internets soon but even if it doesn’t, I’m quite happy with this fanmake remix of the track … that is, until we get to hear how the song will be used (presumably) in Britney‘s upcoming concert tour. I really love it when Britney and Madonna overlap … this is an amazing cover. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Don’t you?
