Watch The First 1:40 Of ‘Dexter’ Season 5

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:52 PM PDT

On Tuesday I mentioned that Showtime generously sent me a screener DVD of the first 3 episodes of Dexter Season 5, which premieres on Sunday September 26, and today they are allowing me to share a tiny bit of the new season with all of y’all. It’s not much but it’s something … here is a video clip of the first 1:40 of the Dexter season 5 premiere ep titled My Bad:

And that, my friends, is how the new season begins. Trust me, it just keeps getting better … the season 5 premiere ep is really good. I cannot wait for all y’all to see it in full. But, a wee taste to whet your appetites is pretty nice, right? Enjoy.

Matt LeBlanc Sparks Up In London

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:42 PM PDT

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc was spotted enjoying a night on the town in London, England this week lookin’ like he was having the time of his life. After Matt stumbled out of the Chamberlayne Pub last night (much like he did back in June when he was photographed stumbling out of Bungalow 8), he pulled out a hand-rolled cigarette and sparked up inside his waiting car:

Now, it’s not uncommon for folks to hand roll their own tobacco cigarettes .. but it’s usually very unlikely. Of course, we have no idea what exactly Matty boy here was smokin’ in his hoopie last night but I have my suspicions. Who knew that Matt LeBlanc was such a partier, eh?

Betty White Releases A Promo Video For Her New Clothing Line

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:31 PM PDT

Back in July we learned that Betty White was launching her own line of t-shirts and hoodies for Hoodie Buddie and today we get our first look at a fun new promo video that Betty filmed to promote the line … here are a few screencaps and some deets about the clothing line from Hoodie Buddie:

This video is in promotion of Jerry Leigh's officially licensed Betty White apparel (they have the sole license to her likeness in the apparel category), which includes limited edition HoodieBuddie™ with HB3 Technology™ and t-shirt styles. The HoodieBuddie™ styles feature patent pending technology in the form of washable drawstring earbuds and an input jack in the pocket, which keep its wearer connected to an ipod/mp3 player. The Betty White apparel benefits Morris Animal Foundation, a pet charity of Betty's, and is available for purchase at hoodiebuddie.com (both guys and girls)!

I cannot think of anything so unexpected as a clothing line designed by Betty White that is so technologically advanced but … it works. After the jump, check out this fun promo video in full and see what I’m talking about …

LMAO!! How amazing is this video? How amazing is Betty White. Sure, some folks think that Betty White Fatigue is starting to settle in but not me … I love it all. If this video doesn’t get you to shell out a few bucks to buy one of her t-shirts then I don’t know what will. It’s a cute vid, right?

Brad Goreski Poses For Terry Richardson Once Again

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:11 PM PDT

Back in May we got to see a beefcakey photo of Brad Goreski, junior stylist BFF of Rachel Zoe (as featured on The Rachel Zoe Project), when he was chosen as the Hot Dude of the Week. As you may recall, Brad was photographed by Terry Richardson and looked surprisingly good. Today we get to see a few new photos of Brad in all his shirtless wonder in a new series of photos shot by Richardson. First, here are photos of Brad after he left Terry‘s studio in NYC earlier this week:

As you might expect, Brad did strip down — once again — in front of Richardson‘s camera but he did manage to take a couple photos with his shirt on … like this one:

But we all know that the real draw is the semi-nekkidness. Check out those photos, after the jump …

Yeah, I don’t get it … Brad really does not look all that sexy hot, IMHO, when I see him on TV. But his sexiness does go up a notch when he loses his shirt. I have to say, the photo we saw last Spring was much hotter because it was so unexpected … these photos are fun and cute but, well, we’ve already seen it all before. I’m not sure if Brad fancies himself a model but I’m thinkin’ he should really hang on to his day job.

Zac Efron Takes His Facial Hair To London

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 01:58 PM PDT

On Sunday we saw photos of Zac Efron and his beard in France, on Monday we saw photos of Brawny Zac and his beard in Spain. Today we learn that Zac and beard have made their way to London … here are photos of Zac making his flashy exit from the Radio One studios earlier today:

It’s been about a week, y’all … he still hasn’t shaved it off … I think the chin pubes might be here to stay. I’m still not feelin’ the look but … at least Zac is trying to own his hairy new visage. Will Zac be taking the beard to other countries around the world? Stay tuned …

‘In Your Satin Tights, Fighting For Your Rights . . .’

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 01:00 PM PDT

On Monday I wrote a post that reminded me of my love for the superhero character Wonder Woman from a very young age. Even before I became the huge Batman fan that I am, my first love was for Wonder Woman … in fact, at age 6 I would tell everyone that I was going to grow up and marry Wonder Woman (ie. actress Lynda Carter who played WW on TV). Since being reminded of the WW watch I loved so much as a kid, I decided to dig out my DVDs of the complete WW series and begin watching the series from the start last night:

I think some of you oldsters (like me) remember the action/adventure series from the late 70′s. The first season on ABC was titled The New Original Wonder Woman and was set in the WWII era 1940′s. The second and third seasons were titled The New Adventures of Wonder Woman and were set in the present 1970′s. I can’t even tell you how much I loved WW as a kid … rewatching the original pilot episode brought back all of that love last night:

Despite the fact that Wonder Woman was “for girls”, my parents were very supportive of my love for all things WW. I’m telling you, I haven’t watched the entire WW series since I was prolly 10 years old (the show ran in re-runs for a couple years after the series went off the air) so I’m very excited to relive my youth again :) I have more vivid memories of the third season of the series, mainly because it featured more robots and aliens and was very much like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. After the jump, check out video of the opening sequence of the third season of The New Adventures of Wonder Woman to be reminded of how amazing the show was and for you young’ns, to see what you missed out on for being born too late …

I converted all of my DVDs to iPhone video files but YOU don’t have to shell out for the DVDs in order to watch the entire series. You can watch all 3 seasons of Wonder Woman online HERE for free. There aren’t many things left that can reduce me to my 6-year old self … but Wonder Woman sure can. They really don’t make TV shows like that anymore … and that’s a damn shame.

No big plans for tonight … David and I will likely meet up with our friend Josh to help celebrate his birthday. Other than that, yeah, I’ll prolly be watching WW again :)

David Beckham Picks Up The Kids From School In His Toy Jeep

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 11:24 AM PDT

Super Dad David Beckham dutifully picked up his children from school yesterday in his fully loaded black Jeep … because when David Beckham rolls up to pick up the kids from school, he’s gotta do it in the most pimp way possible:

Boys will be boys when they’re playing with their toys. Man, I bet it is cool as hell to have Becks as a father … ugh, I can’t even imagine. When I got picked up from school, my mom rolled up in her emerald green Grand Marquis … tho, thankfully, my dad never picked me up in his Handy-Man Van … OY! I would’ve died from embarrassment. Yeah, I doubt the Beckham children have much to be embarrassed about … well, until they become more aware of all the scantily clad underwear ads their parents have posed for over the years. At least I can thank my lucky stars that there are no billboards of my parents in their undies hanging in major cities around the world.

Alanis Morissette Takes The Baby Bump Shopping

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 11:11 AM PDT

Last month we saw photos of mommy-to-be Alanis Morissette and her new hubby Mario Souleye Treadway making their way thru LAX Airport here in LA, bound for the East coast. Today we get to see new photos of Alanis back home in SoCal taking her Baby Bump out for a shopping trip in Brentwood, CA yesterday afternoon:

Alanis and Bump did some shopping at Ron Herman and she looked as happy as can be. Despite the fact that this top is really loose-fitting, you can see that the Bump continues to grow. Dang … both mother and incubating child look fantastic, don’t they?

First Look: ‘The Fighter’

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 10:12 AM PDT

In Summer 2009 we saw photos of Christian Bale lookin’ like a bona fide HOT MESS on the Boston, MA set of The Fighter and earlier this year we saw Marky Mark Wahlberg lookin’ a bit flabby flab on that very same set. Today we get our first look at the trailer for The Fighter and see what all of that hard work was for:

Now … I’m not a sap. Well, OK … maybe sometimes … but this trailer is so full of heart and soul that it really makes me want to see the film. Marky Mark tends to play the down-and-out I’m gonna work hard for my kids in any way possible sort of character very well … and that is really what this whole film is about. I’m just stunned at how much Christian Bale transformed himself to play the cracked-out, troubling making older brother. While this trailer didn’t make me cry, necessarily, I can see how the film might. After the jump, check out the trailer in full and judge for yourselves …

Am I right? This looks good, yeah? I’m guessing The Fighter is trying to win the hearts and minds of audiences (and award shows) much like The Wrestler did a couple of years ago … and I think it may have a shot. Again, I’m not usually drawn to these kinds of films but something about this trailer grabbed me. What do y’all think?

Larry Rudolph Defends Lindsay Lohan

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 09:46 AM PDT

Larry Rudolph, the Svengali manager who is responsible for Britney Spears‘s stellar career in the late 90s/early 00s and is also largely responsible for her career resurrection in the late 00s (after her much publicized mental breakdown), has reportedly agreed to represent and manage troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan in order to attempt a resurrection for her career as well. Rudolph attended the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday and went on the record for the first time in new client L. Lo‘s defense … and so begins Larry‘s attempt to successfully sell the world on the new Lindsay Lohan:

Lindsay Lohan’s new manager Larry Rudolph has said that the 24-year-old’s career comeback will succeed as she is “incredibly talented”. Rudolph, who was credited with Britney Spears’s comeback following her 2007 breakdown, was linked to managing the Machete actress following her recent release from a court-ordered rehabilitation program. Bang Showbiz reports that Rudolph said: “[Lindsay]‘s in a good place now. “When you’ve got that much talent – you can never count somebody like that out. She’s incredibly smart, she’s incredibly talented, and she’s a star. She has everything she needs.”

You may recall that back in May Rudolph implied that he was not working with Lindsay but didn’t come right out and deny it … it would appear that things have changed since then. I can’t think of a smarter move on Lindsay‘s part than hiring Larry Rudolph as a manager. The man is brilliant and he can save careers. He has been so successful with Britney that it’s not impossible to believe that he can do the same for Lindsay. Can he do it? My guess is yes … but only if she lets him do his job. It’s far too early to tell but … this is the first hopeful sign that I’ve seen that Lindsay may be serious about getting her act together.

‘GQ’ Magazine Gives The ‘Jersey Shore’ Guys A Makeover

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 08:54 AM PDT

It seems like the guys of MTV‘s Jersey Shore are popping up all over the place, even in places where they really don’t belong … like this month’s issue of GQ magazine. The folks at GQ decided to give the JS guys a much-needed makeover in order to style up their usually unstylish workout wear. Here is what the guys normally look like when they hit up the gym in order to do their GTL regimen:

Let’s be real: The gym can be as much of a meat market as the club. So whether you’ve been wearing tattoo-print pants with fire-breathing dragons or pit-stained, moth-eaten T-shirts from college, it’s time you toned your workout wardrobe. Here, we help Pauly, Vinny, Ronnie, and Mike address the, um, situation with a new breed of simplified sportswear.

So … how do the guys look in clothing that doesn’t look like Ed Hardy puked all over them? Find out, after the jump …

Simple, stylish … much, much better. Click HERE to see all of the GQ photos that feature the JS guys lookin’ much better than they usually do. The fellas also give some workout tips so it might be worth a read … that is, if you’re planning on spending next Summer at the Jersey Shore.

First Look: Good Charlotte, ‘Cardiology’

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 08:24 AM PDT

It’s been 3 years since rockers Good Charlotte hit us with a new album but come November 2, GC will release their 5th album titled Caridology. Here is our first look at the album artwork for the new disc:

As you may know, Good Charlotte have a hot new single out right now titled Like It’s Her Birthday … which is the first single from Cardiology. The boys have been away for a very long time … Joel Madden has been bizzy building a family with Nicole Richie and Benji Madden has been bizzy workin’ on his fitness. But, at long last, the guys are back with a brand new album. I love this coverart and cannot WAIT to hear the album in full. What do you think, Good Charlotte fans? Do you like?

Katherine Jackson Sues AEG Live For Negligence In The Death Of Michael Jackson

Posted: 16 Sep 2010 07:46 AM PDT

Over one year after the late Michael Jackson passed away in his home here in SoCal in June of 2009, Katherine Jackson – matriarch of the family and legal guardian of MJ‘s children — has launched a lawsuit against AEG Live for negligence in the death of Michael Jackson. Katherine‘s suit alleges that AEG Live should be financially liable for MJ‘s death because they hired Dr. Conrad Murray (the man who is also being sued for MJ‘s death) and Katherine wants them to pay … read on:

Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s children are suing AEG Live — claiming the company breached its agreement to provide physical care for Michael Jackson — and that AEG was negligent in their hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray as MJ’s physician. In the suit, Katherine claims AEG’s contract with Michael “created a legal duty for AEG to act reasonably toward the physical well-being of Michael Jackson.” In the document, Katherine also blames AEG for hiring Dr. Murray without a proper background check — claiming, “AEG did not provide a doctor who was truly looking out for Jackson’s well-being and did not provide equipment.” The suit also alleges AEG caused emotional distress to Michael’s son Prince because he witnessed Michael suffering and dying, and “he was put in a position as bystander to these tragic events.” Kenny Ortega, who produced the planned London concerts for Michael, is also named as a defendant. The attorney who filed the suit, Brian J. Panish, released a statement saying, “The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all.”

HMMM … I mean … HMMM. While I understand how difficult it must be still for the Jackson family to deal with the death of MJ, I think it’s a bit much that they are now suing everyone they can for the man’s death. While they may have a case against Dr. Murray, I’m not as sure that they have much of a case against AEG. My guess is that AEG Live‘s contract with MJ is airtight and very likely covered by insurance. Because this is a civil case, the only remedy than can be awarded is money … and I cannot believe that the Jacksons need more money. I can’t help but find this latest lawsuit very suspect but the Jacksons will do whatever they like, they always have … they always will.
