Its official!

FOX made the official announcement this afternoon that Jane Lynch will be hosting the 63rd Primetime Emmys this year in September!

The Glee star, in her statement, raves that she was "tickled pink" to be asked to host and reveals she is "looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit." HA!

Mark Burnett, executive producer of the awards show, shared in her excitement with his statement, saying:

"Jane was my first – and only – choice as the host for this year's Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said 'yes,'. She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host."

As are we! As is everyone!!! Jimmy Fallon did an exceptional job with his opening last year - but we think Jane might be able to top it! We have faith in you, Jane! Let's see what you've got!

Fear Factor Returning To NBC

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 12:45 PM PDT

Fear Factor returns

NBC is not afraid to revive its reality hit that forced contestants to lay in piles of insects, eat animal genitalia, or climb hundreds of feet into the air on flimsy helicopter ladders. Yes, we're talking about Fear Factor.

The success of The Voice, as well as Fear Factor repeat's exceptional viewership on sister cable channel Chiller, prompted the network to return to the action classic.

After being impressed by re-runs of the show himself, NBC's head of alternative programming, Paul Telegdy, said:

"No one has come close to doing what they've done on that show. You go back and they've stood the test of time. It always had this incredible spectacle to it."

Now they are going bigger and better! No word on if Joe Rogan will return to host the show or when it will premiere, but Telegdy continued to share:

"The stunt and camera technologies have evolved since then, we're going to be able to make it even bigger. We're going to make it more visually arresting."

Sounds inneresting! Can't wait to see what kind of crazy stunts producers have up their sleeve this time!

Are U excited for the return of Fear Factor?

Rihanna Defends Controversial New Video

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 12:20 PM PDT

As we reported, Rihanna is getting some backlash yet again for one of her videos. This time it's for Man Down, which we've posted above. The problem the PTC and another watchdog group is having is that it depicts the singer gunning down a rapist.

Now, Rihanna is speaking up on Twitter in defense of the video's message and her artistic right to make it:

"Thank you for the amazing response on ManDownVideo I love you guys, and I love that u GOT IT!!!"

"Young girls/women all over the world…we are a lot of things! We're strong innocent fun flirtatious vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naïve! We always think it could NEVER be us, but in reality, it can happen to ANY of us! So ladies be careful and #listentoyomama! I love you and I care!"

Yet again, we feel like they're overreacting a bit here. It's like they just avoided the lyrics altogether, so we totally agree with Rihanna about understanding the message!

And what exactly are they trying to prove by saying:

"If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass …"

Did the woman rape Chris Brown? Is Chris Brown NOT someone who has physically assaulted a woman in this scenario? Is he singing about regret for his actions?

Like we said, we get what they're trying to say about if a man shot a video with the situation reversed, we get that, but a music video is made specifically for a song, so listen to the song as well as watch the video.

That's all we're saying, and maybe it would make a little more sense in that context so you wouldn't have to get so worked up so fast.

No worries Rihanna, we're sure most people loved the video!

Amy Winehouse Is Out Of Rehab And 'Raring To Go!'

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 12:10 PM PDT

amy winehouse leaves rehab

Amy Winehouse went to rehab, and now she's back, back, back!

Last week, we were pleased to learn that Amy took the initiative to return to rehab after having a talk with her dad who told her that he thought she was drinking too much again.

Obviously we were sorry to hear that her drinking had became so much of an issue once again, but we were happy to hear that she decided to seek help.

Now, a rep for Amy has announced that she's checked out of rehab at the Priory Clinic after a one-week visit, but she'll continue to visit the clinic as an outpatient.

According to her spokesman Chris Goodman, she's "raring to go" and she's excited for her Europe tour.

We're glad to hear she's in such high spirits! Seems like it was a pretty short rehab stay, but it's quality not quantity, so if it was a productive week, then we totally approve! Plus, she'll continue outpatient treatment, which we think is great.

We wish Amy the best of luck as she continues on her path to recovery. She has our support.

Jeff Conaway's Family Awaits Autopsy Ruling, Struggles With Funeral Plans

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 11:40 AM PDT

jeff conaway family awaits toxicology results before funeral

Yesterday, we learned that late actor Jeff Conaway's family decided to have an autopsy performed on his body to ensure that foul play wasn't involved in his death.

Now, his autopsy is complete and his body has been released to the Los Angeles County Coroner as the family awaits the autopsy ruling/toxicology test results, which could take as much as six weeks.

In the meanwhile, they're attempting to start planning Jeff's funeral, but they're struggling with it.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"Michelle and Carla are grappling with what type of service to have for Jeff. They are simply overwhelmed with the logistics of planning the funeral. Jeff is going to be cremated, but it could take place in a few weeks or in the next few months."

"They also have to contend with how to handle Jeff's ex-fiancee, Vikki Spinoza. There is no love lost between Vikki and Jeff's family. They need to work out what's the best way to handle the situation. They're going to take their time to plan something special and meaningful."

We don't blame Jeff's family for feeling overwhelmed, but we know they'll figure it out and we're sure everything will go just fine with the funeral.

Our thoughts remain with Jeff's family and friends during this difficult time.

Live it up, we say!

More power to her! She deserves some fun with hotties like them!

No Worries! Snooki Can Still Drive In America!

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 11:20 AM PDT

snooki-allows-to-drive-in-america.jpg

The fact that she smashed into an Italian police car and injured several of their officers doesn't affect her driving record at all in the USA! Isn't that swell?! God bless America! LOLZ!

According to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, "Any accidents that occur in a foreign country do not affect a person's driver license in New York State." So while Snooki will have to rely on MTV to arrange transportation for her while in Florence, as soon a she gets back to the shore, she'll be free to take off on the open road.

And shiver of fear just ran down the spine of everyone on the Jersey Turnpike. Brr!

Mitt Romney Is Officially Running For President

Posted: 02 Jun 2011 11:10 AM PDT

mitt romney running for president

Is it possible we could end up with a Twilight fanboy in the White House in 2012???

Yesterday, we caught a Mitt Romney interview on The Today Show, where the presidential candidate admitted that he read Twilight, and seemed pret-ty enthusiastic about it.

When he's NOT reading the Twilight books though, Romney's got a keen interest in politics too, and the man has officially announced that he'll be running for President in the 2012 race.

Here's what a senior Romney adviser had to say about the focus of the Republican candidate's Presidential run:

"Mitt Romney will talk about the number one issue facing the nation, and the reason he is compelled to get into this race - jobs and the economy. We are in the third year of Obama's presidency, and he has failed to lift the nation out of its economic downturn."

"Mitt Romney, from a lifetime spent in the private sector, has the skills and the ability to lead an economic turnaround."

And here's Romney on his desire to build jobs in the U.S.:

"From my first day in office my number one job will be to see that America once again is number one in job creation."

Between running for president and the upcoming release of Breaking Dawn, we'd say that Romney's got a busy/exciting few months ahead of him!

Team Romney or Team Obama?
